Took order and money when item not in stock
I received an electronic prescription from my consultant, and dispensing was suggested via Signature Pharmacy. Initially, the process appeared straightforward and user-friendly. I was required to pay for the prescription in advance.
However, about an hour later, I received an email stating that they were unable to dispense the item due to lack of availability and that a refund would be issued. I subsequently called to ask when the medication might become available again, but was told they were unable to provide any information regarding future stock availability or expected supply dates.
Shortly afterwards, I contacted another pharmacy, who advised that there was ample availability of the same item.
This raises a number of concerns for me. Firstly, why was the order accepted and payment taken if there was no stock available? It suggests there may be an issue with the stock management system or ordering platform. Secondly, there does not appear to be any facility for customers to be notified when items return to stock, which would be very helpful in situations such as this.
In addition, I have still not received my refund.
Overall, I have found the experience disappointing and rather poorly handled.

This was very efficient as I could see my prescription online and as soon as I was ready I pressed to pay and it arrived within a few days. What was good, is that they also sent me a message checking if I was happy to proceed with my order as it took me a week to process the prescription. I was waiting to be paid before proceeding but I did appreciate the reminder.
