Unreliable and Dishonest. THE WORST.
Wish I could put negative stars or 0. Charged for a pickup that never happened! Never comes when they say they will, automated phone will take you eventually to someone who will try to help but seems their system doesn't update and the info does not get passed on. High prices, nothing about them has been good. Cancelled service and still waiting for final pickup of bin after 3 cancelled pickups. Infuriating.

I agree with all of the 1 star reviews of this company. Overcharged on my latest invoice. And my account representative won't even call me back after multiple call and emails voicemails TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
DISHONEST COMPANY, BECAREFUL OF SENSITIVE DISPOSAL MATERIALS.
Horrible company to work with. Our annual contract indicated along with calenda of pick-up date at fix rate. The company deliberated pick up either before or after the calendar day then charge you a surge charge fee as much as 5x of the agree per container. At first, we thought it was just one off, then the trend kept going. So, the last working year with them 2017. The company did it 4times on our invoices and it let us to concern of their company INTEGRITY of handling sensitive information, we decided to close down and settled the account with them. I decided to do in house shredding, it costs us $200/month versus their typical $1600/month. Now forward 11.2.2022, they are forwarding us that we have our standings for 2018 and 2019 that we are not in services with them. They create ghost invoices like Wells Fargo created fake account and no one to talk to.
INTEGRITY, SECURITY AND COST MEANS ANYTHING TO YOU. Stay away from them. Shred it or Stericycle.
If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would. This is a horrible company to deal with. I scheduled my one-time, on-site shred with my sales representative. I was sent a link to the online portal and scheduled my date. I called over a dozen times and emailed my sales rep 9 times receiving only one call in response. No one ever told me that the date in the portal was only a requested date and that may not be my actual service date. I called again the morning of our service and was told we were on the schedule, but they couldn't even tell me if it was morning or afternoon.
Feeling slightly more confident, I had 3 employees on standby all day, waiting to drive down to our storage facility. It's 3pm and no one has shown up. I called again and have been on hold for nearly half an hour while they figure out if they are coming or not.
Is there absolutely NO WAY for them to simply look at their computer and see if we are on the service schedule?
The rep came back and asked if I received an email confirmation, which I hadn't. I called. Several times. I was told I was on the schedule. No one ever told me a single time that I would receive an email confirmation once I scheduled my service, and the date was showing up as my service date in the portal. I was told this morning that the driver would be calling me 30 minutes prior to coming to the facility.
How can this company still be in business?
Appalling Customer Service…
Absolutely appalling Customer Service experienced by an 'Inside Sales Executive' when trying to place an order.
Specifically, the general demeanor of this person was abrupt and abrasive to the point that he refused to correct an incorrect business-entity name on a quotation, simply stating 'just sign it, the name on the DocuSign has nothing to do with your order.'
Cutting a long story short and being unable to correct the quotation, I gave the business to a competitor.
We also have had issues with drivers…
We also have had issues with drivers not showing up as scheduled. Yesterday we had a driver say he completed the service, but he never actually showed up, however we continue to be billed. He also initialed his paperwork with a previous employee's name as Proof of Service. The service keeps getting worse by the minute. You cannot be connected to an account manager, you have to wait until they call you....but they never call back. I would not recommend this company. Save yourself a headache month after month and go with someone else. Satisfaction is not guaranteed.

Shredit customer service
Shredit customer service has been terrible to deal with. they double charged me, and scheduled 8 week pick ups within 2 weeks. this is supposed to make my life easier but i waste more time emailing customer serivce, calling them and having to double check the portal so i dont get charged for pick ups. whats the point of having email customer service if you do not properly acknowledge the issues and address them. I moved from a large shredding company to this one to have more personal customer service but i regret that its been a terrible mistake and a waste of my time.

Echoing comments here. Email confirmations of scheduled pick ups are not honored. It has been worse since they switched to the new billing portal. When the service guy does show up, usually unexpected, he has no idea what the portal scheduling date says. I don't blame him but this company is awful. I am not even going to bother with the 800 number will just cancel by email.
Don't Waste Your Time
Unreliable and useless! Five consecutive "confirmed" appointments missed. A week after sending them a written termination notice they arrive at the office but the employee refuses to remove their box and they continue to send invoices. Avoid avoid avoid!

Also say one time I had a call from the driver and he was in Arizona and I'm in North California.

Avoid this company at all costs!!! They don't show up when they're supposed to. They make you random appointments that you didn't agree to, then try to charge you for them. I've been trying to cancel my account for weeks and they won't come to pick up the equipment and finalize the cancelation.

Terrible service! After trying for 6 weeks with 3 calls and 2 emails I said to just cancel and pick up your bins. 4 additional calls and 4 weeks later they are still sitting here. In the interim another company has brought new bins and picked up all the shredding Shred-it left.
Do not use this company
Scheduled for destruction but driver dropped his device, rescheduled for 2 weeks later, dropped scanner device again.
Scheduled to show up at noon but never heard back until 2 hours later. This business is unreliable. Do Not Use!
Really good service
We have just had a one-off collection in Doncaster and the service was excellent - arranged very quickly and the operatives turned up promptly. Really pleased with the service.
Not happy with Shred-it at all!
Not happy with Shred it at all. Lots of problems with delivery of containers and wrong keys. Billing is not logical. Sent an email about canceling services three weeks ago and still don't have a response to the "5 yr" contract stated on page 18 of the agreement ... "who knew" it was there.
