Giant scam

Giant scam! I've been to nadine merabi sale and the clothes seemed fine, the problem is they have 1 fitting room for everyone, absolutely ridiculous to expect us to undress infront of 12 other people. Show your customers a modicum of respect and build proper fitting rooms. I went to reiss sale at 02 and what a massive waste of time! the clothes were dirty, and all old styles. Nothing that's on the reiss website right now was found at the sale, they seem to be getting rid of old stock from 5 years ago. I bought something on their 111skin online sale and to my dismay, they charge £7.95 for shipping and on top of that they expect you to wait up to 30 days for delivery. You are not getting a good deal, you are getting really old or damaged stock.

Hi Belle,

Please note that you will not always find stock that is brand new and still on the brand’s website at our sales, this is simply the nature of sample sales. The reason for the extremely high discounts is often that it is not current season stock.

Additionally, as our Reiss sale at the o2 was a clearance sale, the stock may have small defects. In light of this, we discount the items as high as possible.

We charge £7.95 for delivery for our online sales as that is how much is costs us to post. As all purchases made are sent from the brand to us, and from us to the customer, we do require a larger delivery window, of up to 30 days. However often is it does take less time than this.

This is my 3rd Showcase experience…

This is my 3rd Showcase experience visiting the Belstaff sample sale. Excellent stock to accommodate various sizes, I only went to top up my Belstaff collection acquired during my first trip back in June 2023. A massive thank you to all the staff at Showcase , and a big special commendation for Michelle who as always goes above and beyond to help customers. Call me
Bias but Michelle and Denise are my favs at Showcase, it’s gems
Like these two that make the shopping experience ‘special’ , they both know how to Connect with customers on an emotional level and this in turn makes customers spend more money. Showcase please , please , please do not notify me of your next Belstaff sample sale , as you are making my wardrobe explode with too many goodies (I haven’t even worn the batch of goods I purchased back in June).

Beware – 'Priority' scam

Good first Showcase experience so purchased 'Priority' Membership. Time consuming password reset, new log-in doesn't work & Priority booking unavailable. Politely emailed Showcase ('ticket number 35861'), who didn't reply (4 days).

I visited the Nadine Merabi sample sale…

I visited the Nadine Merabi sample sale in regent street and had a great experience. Everything was organised and the staff were really nice, I spoke to a lovely lady at the end called Denise regarding Showcase and she was really knowledgeable. Overall a fun experience and I’d definitely come again!

Went to visit the Manchester Traffod… what a mistake, inexperienced and rude security

Went to visit the Manchester Traffod centre pop-up, and upon entering the store I was asked to remove my shirt and leave it behind the counter for security reasons????? It was a denim overshirt, but the inexperienced teenage security guard tried to make out it was a coat?? Could clearly see numerous people in the store wearing coats, so what he was talking about is anyone's guess? Needless to say, simply walked out. Very unprofessional setup, better to avoid....

Great idea, but not worth it.

I booked for the REISS sample sale, and the entry/cloakroom process was really smooth. There were some decent items in each department, which I was happy with. HOWEVER, I can't help but feel the sample sale is somewhat of a scam.

There are product pricing labels around on the walls, which are unclear. For example, there are four different coat/jacket categories: lightweight jacket/jacket, coat, leather jacket, and shearling. The staff on the floor advised a jacket we picked was a jacket, but when we got to the till, we were told it was actually a coat (which is more expensive). There were no prices on racks of clothing types, so there is no way of knowing how they categorise the items.

Another issue we had was with prices. A lot of items in the store had price labels on, with prices lower than the general category price. We checked with two different staff which price would stand, and we were told it would be the price on the label. At the tills, we were told that in fact, those lower prices were from a staff sale, and that the higher, general price of the item would stand.

We were then told that the T&C's state they have the right to change the price at any time. While I understand this, to charge higher than a price label (and not a one off, but many labels in the store) is totally unacceptable. Either all the labels showing cheaper clothes should've been removed, or an explainer of this should've been given. The element of price differences unfortunately made it feel like a scam.

The staff were polite, but again out issues meant that while we purchased a couple of items, it was not worth it. It's a shame, as we were looking forward to it.

Didn’t get my shoes but great customer service!

I went to my first sample sale recently in Manchester. One half of a pair of Sophia Webster shoes I wanted was missing so sadly I wasn’t able to purchase. But a lady called Denise who worked there took my details and made sure to keep me updated and even text me the next day to say she searched high and low but with no joy. I really appreciated her going above and beyond- other staff members also tried to help. Thanks Denise and team!

Faulty Goods = No Accountability

I placed an order with Showcase for the Dr Barbara Sturm sample sale on 14th July, purchasing approx.10 items. Once I finally received the package (a month later) two of the items were damaged, with one of them completely destroyed (the pump on a £45 shampoo was smashed to bits). I sent imagery and made a complaint with their customer services team who said they were investigating following my first email on the 10th of August. However, five chasing emails later and still no response. Both items are unusable for their intended purpose, and I am out a considerable amount of money. No accountability at all

Superb experience at showcase

Visited showcase and have to say I was impressed, not just with the venue and it’s location but the staff were exceptional, very professional and attentive, especially Denise went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, kept us smiling during a long day! OK as long as something doesn't go awry

Their recent online Mulberry sale was a public access website (mulberryfactoryshop.com) so why bother having membership I was thinking. When I mentioned this to customer service, they offered a £15 refund for the bad experience but then... radio silence. Then they cancelled my priority membership which I at no point wanted or asked for and proceeded to write me long emails about how they were in a net negative situation and I was in a net positive situation?! That and when a £350 Aspinal bag fell apart a couple of weeks after the sample sale has finished off my positive sentiment towards this place. Just leaves me with a bad feeling and I shall no longer recommend them.

Great experience and savings on Mulberry

This was my first time at Showcase. Great experience with real savings on Mulberry. Very well organised with time slots and not overcrowded on my visit. Amazing quantity of bags etc and staff were restocking during my time slot. Helpful, friendly staff. Bag key rings, purses etc great prices and as well as getting the bag I wanted I got two lovely pieces of jewellery and scarf.
