Horrible Customer Service

The shocks i ordered have worked perfectly. With that being said, their customer service is horrible. I have been trying for 3 weeks to return a front steering stabilizer still in the box and I cannot get anyone to help me return it. I have talked to two different agents for their customer service and still my return has not been resolved. Im happy with the product, but very disappointed with the customer service. Next time I buy shocks for my truck or leveling kit, I will buy elsewhere.

Got some of what i ordered and i have messaged support twice now with no answers. I love the fact that they offer these options but id also like to know when my assembled struts are coming so i can finish my truck…..

It looks like the last message we received from you was on 3/24, and a response was sent at that time. If you did not receive it, there may have been an issue with delivery or it may have gone to a spam or junk folder.

Orders ship in multiple shipments, which can happen due to warehouse availability or assembly timelines. In some cases, we are also dependent on manufacturers for certain components like mounts, which can delay fully assembled struts.

They're in no rush to ship your order

I placed a $5,000 order only for the order not to ship by the date it was supposed to. When I called to check on the status you need to fight through an AI to get to a person that can " help". After getting ahold of Joe i was informed my order was not in stock but I would be in line for when the shocks become available in a few months. I canceled the order and ordered the only set that was comparable in performance yet $3000 more in price. So now my ordered was over $8000 and I was told the order would go out the next morning next day air. After a week of phone calls the shocks still haven't shipped.

Being told items were in stock and ready to ship, only to later find out they were not, is not the experience we want for our customers. We also understand how frustrating it is to have to repeatedly follow up for updates.

Because the products we sell are fast moving, availability can change quickly, and in some cases items may be on backorder from the manufacturer. That said, we should have communicated this clearly from the start and provided accurate timelines so you could make the best decision.

We also apologize that your upgraded order did not ship as promised. That’s not acceptable, and we understand how that impacts your trust in us.

When I ordered them they said they were in stock when they checked the warehouse they were out but when I expressed how I needed them immediately they got busy and rounded them up for me really appreciate these guys top notch definitely buy from them again

Will order from shocksurplus again!

I ordered some Bilstein 5100s for front and back of my 2500hd. Standard shipping was quick, 3-4 days from order date. Also, I think some if the best prices and selections I could find.

Thorough customer service, great prices and quick delivery

Quick and accurate response to my questions before purchase. Very fast delivery. The 5100s were for all four wheels on my Ram 2500, including the rear axle power hop. Everything was priced fairly and carefully packaged.

This company has the worst customer…

This company has the worst customer service department. I placed an order on march 18 2026 and still have not received the product. I have tried to contact through email and phone but no response. I do not know how a company can operate like this even though their website states their commitment to customer satisfactions. I simple response would go a long way. We are in the process of reaching out to better business bureau because this company took my payment and have not produced my product and will not respond.

Premium price for a not so premium experience.

Waited almost 2 weeks for my order to ship after I was told it was all in stock. Poor communication about shipping info. Ordered the “house brand” upper control arm and came with absolutely zero instructions, just had to wing it. Was planing on ordering suspension upgrades for two more of our vehicles but will for sure be taking my business elsewhere. I thought spending a premium price with shock surplus meant I was getting a premium experience… not so much. Will save a few dollars with another company next time!

F250 2005

Your website was easy to navigate. The shocks were as described. The Rancho 9000xl shocks made a huge difference on my 2005 F250. The truck rides so great and I love the adjustability for the ride. Shipping was fast and everything fit perfectly.

Customer Service

I own a 2018 Silverado 1500 and purchased a set of Bilstein 6112’s from Shock Surplus a few years back which was very easy and quick at the time. Moving forward I wanted the shocks adjusted for more height which required disassembly. Got in contact with Brian from Shock Therapy and scheduled a date to bring them in. Brian was absolutely awesome to deal with. Brian assisted me with unloading and loading of the shocks to my vehicle. Shock Surplus techs had my shocks done within 15 minutes. Definitely will be doing business with them in the future. Great customer service! Thank you Brian!

Experience with Shock Surplus was okay

Experience with Shock Surplus was okay. Got my order within 2 weeks but the communication was bad. I reached out 3 separate times asking for tracking info, and if my order had shipped. Half my order just showed up on my door one day. I asked for tracking info, they sent me a tracking number that said my order was delivered. I reached out several times to ensure that they knew I received only half my order with no returned communication. In a world full of scammers, if made me nervous. Then out of the blue, my two other shocks showed up. Again with no notification. Oh well. I got my order but was unaware of the process the whole time.

Ordered a SET of Bilstein shocks for my…

Ordered a SET of Bilstein shocks for my 80 series Land Cruiser paid for the full set which they said they had waiting on this to complete a road trip to Moab. I get the package only to find out. I received the rear shocks but not the front due to a backorder that they did not show at the beginning. They need to show what shocks are in stock and what is not then you talk to AI good luck getting a hold of a human being. This is definitely not a company who cares about its customers. I PAID THEM THE WHOLE AMOUNT STILL MISSING TWO SHOCKS. I NEED TO GET A REFUND AND SEND TWO SHOCKS BACK.
