I am a returning customer, which makes this review even more disappointing to write.
I contracted with SGT Auto Transport to ship my vehicle from Pennsylvania to Florida and specifically paid an additional $100 for top-load placement. SGT accepted my request, charged me for the service, and issued updated documentation.
When the carrier arrived to pick up my vehicle, the driver informed me that there was no indication on his paperwork that top-load service had been purchased. He further advised that there was no available top-load position on the trailer and that he could not transport my vehicle as contracted. In other words, the service I specifically requested and paid extra for was not reflected in the information provided to the carrier.
What was even more concerning was that the driver stated that, in his opinion, I had likely been sold something that SGT could not guarantee. He explained that because SGT is a broker and not the actual carrier, my vehicle could potentially be transferred between multiple trucks during transport. According to the driver, even if a vehicle is loaded on the top level initially, there is no guarantee it will remain on the top level throughout the entire transport process or arrive at its destination in that position. Therefore, he questioned how SGT could legitimately charge an additional fee for a service they could not guarantee would be maintained for the duration of the shipment.
After the failed pickup on Friday, I was advised that another driver would arrive on Saturday morning at approximately 9:30 a.m. with the proper arrangements. Based on that information, I made myself available and waited for pickup.
No one showed up.
No one from the carrier contacted me. No one from the carrier answered the phone. I attempted repeatedly to obtain answers from SGT regarding what was happening with my shipment.
During one of these calls, while trying to understand why this was now the second day that I was waiting for a carrier, I was accused of "yelling" by an SGT representative. I was not yelling. I was understandably frustrated and attempting to determine what was going on with my shipment after multiple failures and a complete lack of communication. Rather than assisting me, the representative hung up on me.
When I attempted to call back, the phone lines were suddenly "down." In fact, throughout much of this ordeal, I repeatedly encountered situations where SGT's phone lines were unavailable. What became very apparent is that SGT is highly accessible when they are attempting to secure your business and obtain your signature on a contract. Once the contract is signed and problems arise, reaching someone by phone becomes nearly impossible, leaving customers dependent on online chat support.
I was ultimately forced to use SGT's live chat service to try to determine what was happening. While chat representatives acknowledged that I had purchased top-load service and attempted to obtain information, no one ever provided a meaningful update or resolution.
Days later, I received an email from SGT informing me that the carrier had canceled the dispatch altogether.
My vehicle was never picked up. After all of this I submitted in writing to SGT that I wanted to cancel my contract with them, understandably.
Despite the carrier's inability to perform the service I paid for, the failed Friday pickup, the missed Saturday pickup, the lack of communication, and the eventual cancellation of the dispatch, SGT retained $199 of the $299 I paid and refunded only $100.
Their position is that because I canceled before their pickup window expired, the cancellation fee applies. I strongly disagree. This was not a situation where I simply changed my mind. The service I paid for was not provided, the carrier could not perform the requested transport, the promised second pickup never occurred, and the carrier ultimately canceled the dispatch.
As a returning customer, I expected much better. Instead, I experienced poor communication, a failed pickup, a missed rescheduled pickup, being hung up on while seeking answers, a carrier cancellation, and the loss of $199 for a service that was never provided.
I will never use SGT Auto Transport again and would never recommend them based on my experience.

Repeat customer!!! I would not choose another company for shipping our car. Its the easiest thing first of all. We call and give them the date we fly and the car is always picked up on time. They are always upfront with their prices and they dont disappoint. We know our car would be fine, safe, and the driver was so great driving us back since my husband has health issues. Best service ever !!

Everything went great from pickup to delivery! I wasn’t at either place but the communication was great and being able to pay by Venmo made it so easy! Definitely would use them again!

SGT handled the transport of my car from California to Ohio flawlessly. None of the common pitfalls of the auto transport industry happened with SGT.
Within a couple of hours after signing with SGT, they had my job assigned to White Hawks Auto who immediately called to schedule the pickup and to give me the expected delivery date.
My car was picked up on scheduled pickup date and delivered in Ohio two days before the expected delivery. Everything went off like clockwork and at no time did anyone even hint at asking for more money than my original SGT quote.
If I ever have the occasion to transport another car, I will go straight to SGT.

SGT is a company you can trust. They are a broker but so are all other companies you’re dealing with. They are communicative and responsive to any questions you have. They had a low price and there were no changes to that price. Dealing with the carrier/shipper was super easy. He also was very responsive once SGT set the communication channel. So we worked with schedule and he was at pick up site at time he said. Car shipped and delivered. No issues.

This is the second time I’ve used this company to ship a vehicle, and once again they provided excellent service. The entire process was smooth and stress-free from start to finish. Communication was great, and I was kept updated throughout the transport. My vehicle arrived safely and in the same condition it was picked up in. The driver was professional, courteous, and handled my car with care. Based on my experiences, I would definitely use this company again and highly recommend them to anyone needing reliable vehicle transportation.

I would strongly advise anyone considering SGT Auto Transport to look elsewhere.
The most disappointing part of my experience wasn’t even the payment issue—it was the complete lack of professionalism and respect from customer service.
One of the primary reasons I chose SGT Auto Transport was because their booking process indicated that credit cards were accepted. During my research, many transport companies required cash upon delivery, which I specifically wanted to avoid. Throughout the booking process, I selected credit card payment and never received any clear indication that the remaining balance would require cash upon delivery.
Imagine my surprise when my vehicle arrived and I was suddenly told that only cash would be accepted.
When I contacted SGT Auto Transport for assistance, I was transferred to a representative who was not only unhelpful but openly dismissive. When I explained that I did not have cash readily available and had planned to pay with a credit card as originally indicated, she laughed and said, “How do you not have money but have a credit card? Where did the money for the credit card come from if you don’t have cash?”
I was stunned. Instead of helping resolve a situation that stemmed from unclear communication, I was mocked by customer service and told there was “nothing they could do” and that I needed to “figure it out.”
Fortunately, my bank was able to assist me with a cash advance so I could complete the transaction and receive my vehicle. However, no customer should be put in that position—especially after being led to believe that credit card payment was acceptable during the booking process.
To make matters worse, SGT later denied that credit card payment was ever agreed upon. Had I been informed from the beginning that cash would be required upon delivery, I would have either prepared accordingly or chosen a different transport company altogether.
The transportation itself was completed, but the customer service experience was among the worst I have encountered. Being blindsided by payment requirements and then treated with disrespect when seeking assistance is unacceptable.
I will not use SGT Auto Transport again, and I cannot recommend them based on my experience.

I contracted with this company to transport a 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X from Florida to Colorado . They quoted a price and of course a couple of days before I get a call that the price went up. Ok knowing how this industry works I paid it. Then I get a text offering an upsell to pay extra for “safer top carry and VIP phone access “. Ok I bite. Then the day my car gets picked up I get a call from the carrier. “Sorry but your Jeep suffered damage to the roof because it bounced up and hit the overhead rack “ . I said “how can that happen if I was gaurenteed and paid for top level “ Their response was “ nobody ever told us “ . So turns out that was $9500 worth of damage. And “VIP phone service “ ? What a joke. Once you pay them there is no phone service. You will get a recording that their phone system is down. So how do they have good reviews?
Simple. As others have said , they solicit positive reviews and they pay to have honest bad reviews removed. They called me multiple times and I can’t repeat what I told them. There is no amount of money that is going to keep me from exposing this company . They should be shut down .
Addendum:
So this is in response to their response below.
They were absolutely worthless in offering any assistance. As noted above the only communication they initiated was in trying to get me to remove any negative review. Be warned the “carrier insurance “ they allude to is not automobile insurance. It will not cover the loss of value on $9500 worth of damage on a 2025 vehicle. It will not cover the 7 weeks of rental car fees I will need to pay out of pocket while my vehicle sits waiting for parts. I also have text messages from “Tony “ documenting their guarantee that the vehicle would be a top transport and they would refund me the upcharge fee if that didn’t happen. Well it didn’t and their response was “talk to the carrier “. These people are out to squeeze every penny they can from you and couldn’t care less about actually following through with the carrier. I’m sure they had no intention of honoring anything.

The vehicle was delivered exactly when promised and arrived in excellent condition. It was clear that great care was taken during transport. The driver was friendly, professional, and kept me informed throughout the process. Overall, it was a smooth and hassle-free experience. I would definitely recommend this car transport company to others.

They refused to provide me an accurate quote and hung up on me then after I immediately canceled the same day they charged me a deceptive $199 cancellation fee without telling me beforehand for a small print clause. If they had told me about it I would not have canceled. Very dishonest company.

my overall experience with sgt auto transport was provided with excellent communication not only with the broker but, with the caring and considerate driver Khalil. he had difficulty unloading in a residential area due to the size of his truck. he did however, manage to offload my vehicle on a busy street and out of harms way. he was very pleasant and earnest in his job. congrats to your organization and your contacts for a job well done.

WARNING! DON'T FALL VICTIM! They’ll tell you whatever you want to hear to earn your business, then disappear when deadlines aren’t met.
I recently purchased a Tesla in New Jersey and needed it transported to California. Before booking, I made it VERY clear to every company I spoke with that I had a vacation coming up in two weeks. SGT Auto Transport assured me that was “more than enough time” for delivery, so I decided to trust them with the job.
Our contract listed a pickup window between 5/8/26 and 5/12/26, with a guaranteed delivery date of 5/20/26. In other words, even in the worst case scenario of a 5/12 pickup, they claimed they could deliver the car cross-country in 8 days. SGT then subcontracted the shipment to a company called Ozuu Express LLC, the “reputable and professional carrier” they supposedly stand behind. Trust me, I’ll be reviewing them separately as well.
We heard absolutely nothing until the very last pickup day. That afternoon, I was told the driver would arrive between 5-8 PM and would call an hour before arrival. No call ever came, and the driver finally showed up at 8:20 PM (red flag #1). By then it was already dark, making it impossible to properly inspect the vehicle before handing it over.
Then things got worse.
For the next SEVEN DAYS, I watched my Tesla sit in the transporter’s parking lot through the Tesla app, without moving once. SEVEN DAYS (red flag #2). During that entire time, I repeatedly tried contacting Ozuu Express, but none of their phone numbers worked (red flag #3).
So I contacted SGT instead. Conveniently, their phone system suddenly had a recording claiming they were experiencing phone issues and directing customers to online chat support (red flag #4).
Since 5/18/26 (the day the car finally left New Jersey), just TWO DAYS before the promised delivery date, I have been in chat with SGT EVERY SINGLE DAY. Today is 5/21, and I leave for vacation tomorrow (5/22). All week long, I’ve been given nothing but excuses and vague updates.
SGT has repeatedly told me they’ve been “trying to reach Ozuu Express” to find out why the car sat for seven days and where it currently is. Apparently, they’ve been unable to get ahold of them ALL WEEK. Seriously? This is the company you chose to contract with and represent your business? (red flag #5)
At this point, it feels like SGT completely misled me just to secure the booking and has now washed their hands of the situation. Their attitude seems to be: “Whenever the car arrives, it arrives.”
Unfortunately, because of THEIR delays, I’ll now be out of town and unable to receive my vehicle until I return. And do you think SGT has contacted me to work out a solution, knowing I won't be home to receive the vehicle? NOPE. Not a single call from their side. They've completely left me to figure it out with the driver.
The driver called while I was away on vacation. Something I deliberately was trying to avoid from the very first call to SGT. I had no one there to receive the car and was told if I didn't let them leave it in my driveway, they would drop it at a tow yard and I would be charged daily until I returned from vacation. This is the service you can expect from them. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE.

This place is a shame. They take your credit card and tell you they guarantee pick up and then they never call you back and your car does not get delivered. I called them 30 times and they ignore you. But, if you go on line to get a big, three people call you to make a bogus reservation.

Called the day of pickup and said the driver was unable to service us Had a second pick up driver at $300.00 more. We were able to negotiate it down to $150.00 by telling them to cancel Also. Because we we driving our second car when this occurred we had no way see the new contract . The new driver requested Cash on delivery. We believed that ,,like the deposit we would pay with the card . They were to deliver to a retail retail location we had attachments with . When they arrived four hours late and the store was closed. They did not contact us and did not drop the vehicle . We went crazy trying to locate the new driver . You cannot contact SGT by phone only chat. Never got anything acomplished with them. A day latter we were contacted by the driver and he refused to drop off without CASH payment . That afternoon we drove to the location and paid. If SGT rating is 4.4 it must be out of 100. Worst company we have ever felt with. S P Delorenzo
