This company was recommend by USAA

This company was recommend by my credit union (USAA). A major mistake for making that decision and will need to live with that.

So writing this to inform everyone, DO NOT!!!!, I said again DO NOT!!! Allow this company work on your property.

Servpro in Columbus GA, are only looking to rip insurance companies. The company at Columbus Ga. Charge USAA to remove my small closet door 60.00 WOW!!! and never remove the door during their work with removing engineer floor inside the closet.

Second, Servpro assign a three man team, one of them can not speak English, the other two has 4 months with installing floors , they had to replace the floor baseboard due to water damage we had, they had gap between board that you can place your ring finger between them. My Wife and I was going to drop them and look for other contractor to complete our floor install. However, Servpro management ask for a second change to make thing right REALLY!!!!!. But stupid me I agree and they went on and located a more experience team to complete the install.

This should I been done the first time, but again this company in Columbus ga is all about the money and no care for the customer.

I also but the responsibility on USAA, for not doing their homework and or check on the work Servpro is doing for the Military Community.

Do not use this company unless you want…

Do not use this company unless you want everything done incorrectly. Worst workers and managers ever. Work done to a very small bathroom took 9 months and counting. Bathroom had to be ripped back down to the studs and redone because the work was so bad. Everything they touched has been ruined, covered with paint, debris down drains, and more. Sloppy, no communication, uncaring garbage work. Another manager had to take over to complete the work properly. Still ongoing to this day. Broken parts, broken door, paint all over another door, broken moldings are just a few of the things suffered by us during this nightmare.

Unfair

There was a leak in my bathroom which cause the flood problem. This leak was in the wall behind the sink and the toilet. The insurance company sent a plumber to fix the leak, then They sent Servpro to put vents to dry the wall. After that They told me that They need to cut 3 feet from the floor and up. They took and broke the cabinets off the kitchen. Also, they took out the sink.

They start cutting the wall that was in front of the original damage. I don’t know why? They should only cut the affected area. However, they found Mold in front of the damage area and told the insurance that that the problem wasn’t cause for the leak. Of course, the leak was in the other side. The insurance company denied my claim because Servpro did a bad diagnostic of the problem.

The next day they came and left my house with holes in the wall. The cabinets broken and without the sink. My house is a mess and They told me that I need to fix it myself even though They destroyed everything. This is not fair.

Don’t chose this company to fix anything. They would go to Your house and destroy everything they can just to make more money.

COMPANY FROM HELL

COMPANY FROM HELL
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Servpro frisco location
1- water heater damage 2/11/2022 in our master closet!!!!
Servpro came did mitigation so fast, unorganized and much more unnecessary removing the whole master suite ! Not the closet
They did not even gave us a chance at least couple of hours to move our personal and very valuable belonging and content
We informed the reconstruction manager later and he said
"sorry I'll talk to the crew"
2- In the middle of the chaos in that situation which about 10 workers moving our stuff to outside they gave khalilian a sheet to sign. Khalilian did not insist or requesting to remove anything
He signed it base on trust to the company and we have told this to all level of management many time, due to unorganized and no supervision workers of Servpro did mistakes and company is aware but did not want take accountability!! Then blamed it on client
ServPro did have removed many unnecessary materials just to rebuilt it with a much more profit to gain later
3- Servpro estimate the contract $88,000 we paid $ 44,500 as they asked and the rest when job is completed.
4- they removed all the dining room and huge living furnitures for paint WITHOUT customer consent/ agreement and lift it like that till this moment and no paint was done due to such an unbelievable price about$16,000 for painting 2 rooms!!!! Authorities you be the judge! They charge us $ 6000 for gasoline WITHOUT a written consent authorities is this bylaw of your company!!!?? We were charged over $14,000 for floor WITHOUT consent from us when insurance paid only $8,000! they over charged us for incomplete painting of the damage area
The most important lacking of communication With us, unqualified workers that made many mistakes and they did redo back and forth and us were charged!!!
We were so disrespected as a client by the reconstruction and general manager many times to the point we were so scared to contact them!!! Emotionally abusing an elderly man!!!
Director of reconstruction involved we had a agreement based on our good faith that they complete the major part of the job that was left behind, we meet 7/5/22 till 8/23/22 even with the director involvement nothing happened nothing nothing only general manager came with 2 cheapest .99c tiles selection!!! for us to pick when insurance paid for Marble or granite high grade $29 per unit
Authorities just imagine what a gouging Servpro did to the money from insurance company
Khalilian came to conclusion ServPro is not honest at all
We can't trust them they did not restart, manager kept killing time state " I am working with the numbers" since 3/2022!!
Delays and delay for nothing
And general manager to start with constantly talking about "where is my profit"
$44,500 paid to them they give us back $8,000!!
Servpro charge $36000!! For what ?
Every time we asked for an invoice or account we were completely ignored!! Lots of hiding unclear not transparency with management
How we are going to complete this damage, Servpro took them all and the most majority of the job is not done
based on Servpro estimate this minor job was about $22000-25000, but they charge us $36,500!!!
They over charged, gouging us for $13000 ish
We need our money/ insurance money back to use it to the last penny to complete this job

we had nightmare experience DONT USE SERVPRO
Thank you

I would give 0 stars if I could

I would give 0 stars if I could. Started the job and finished part of it. Was a no show, no phone calls, 8 times. Always an excuse, sent text messages at 6 am, who checks text messages that early, if my phone rang, I would have answered. My tenants stayed home from work to let them in, like their time is not important. When I text him, no response, when I call him, no answer. If you are looking for a company to take a month to do a 2 day job, this company is for you. Oops, make that 9 times, just cancelled tomorrow.

Serv"pro" was just awful

Serv"pro" was just awful. The list of mistakes is longer than I have time for. Thought they took pics, they painted kitchen the wrong color. Broke appliances. Reinstalled cabinets such that the doors scrapped the ceiling. Unable to reinstall a section of molding. Didn't properly seal the baseboards.Mismatched ceiling level. Cracked the kitchen counter. Much more. Took them 4 months - water damage. When I showed the boss that the kitchen was the wrong color & was beautiful before, his response was "It is what it is." After 4 months of hell, I just wanted them out of my place. He didn't even offer to repaint the kitchen. Worse contracters I've ever seen.

Shady!

If anyone needs any restoration or remedy avoid Servpro! I have been battling them for a long time! I will just repost my update and review. I'd love to save anyone I can as they are usually recommended by insurance companies and after my recent experience with them their only positive reviews are most likely due to same situation as me. Assuming I am not the only one they offer refunds to only if they can fully silence you.
UPDATE: Servpro finally offered me a refund if I would delete my reviews. They then denied me the full refund because my bbb one could not be fully unpublished! They tried to get me to sign a legal contract covering them but basically screwing me and getting me to agree to non truths.... when my attorney recommended a few minor edits and to where I couldn't be sued later for partial bbb info still up due to my complaint they backed out.. Be cautious as this is only paying for refunds to silence those with bad jobs not making right unless any bad job information is removed and only benefiting their reputation!! Bad business! I paid them 11k to remedy mold in my attic to keep my family safe. They did the job and missed many areas. After I called and said I would take legal action the supervisor rushed out within 2hrs leading me to believe he was going to make right. However, he followed with immediately voiding my warranty instead due to saying there was new growth and wetness and high humidity. So all they did was decieve me to cover their a**. I've had 5 other companies out and every one has told me the only mold is what still has their scrub marks visible through it where they missed, that the humidity is some of the lowest of all houses in the valley, and even during rain there is 0 wetness. They also used insulation that is not as thick as it should be. The spots totally missed were in corners I heard them arguing over who had to go into and not wanting to while doing the job. I feel stressed out for months now trying to get another company to be willing to come in behind their poor job and coming up with the money to redo a job that they failed to so properly. Meanwhile exposing my kids to mold I paid them to remedy. When you call other remedation ask them how many customers they have been having to fix servpro jobs this month. The number is alarming....

I used the servpro nat'l group after…hurricane sally

I used the servpro nat'l group after hurricane sally did some damage to my office in atmore al.

I was grossly overcharged - at least 4 - 6x what I know I could have hired someone to so the work for.

Also a lot of what they did was unnecessary and several things I was billed for on the invoice were not done at all.

Please advise all of your readers to MAKE THEM TELL YOU WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO DO AND WHAT IT WILL COST UP FRONT. I ask for this several times and was just told " we just take what your insurance pays ....... This turned out NOT TO BE TRUE - what my adjuster allowed was less than their charge for just some demolition and fans 0 still needed roofing repair and repair their demo work.

This was my only experience with servpro and it was their national storm team; can't comment on local servpros but would issue the same warning about their "we just take what insurance pays" scam. The ones I dealt with should have gone to prison for hurricane gouging.

Thanks for helping warn others-

Scam. Stay AWAY

Servepro was contacted on or around 1/4, I believe, regarding an insurance claim for water damage in my basement due to sewage overflow from a neighbor's house. They were contacted to restore/repair damage in basement including floor tile, washer and dryer, bathroom vanity, walls, etc.. The project manager, Stephen Poniatowski, quoted me around 10k ballpark to restore/repair items previously mentioned as well as mitigation, we spoke in person on 1/6, I believe, dates may be off. On 1/11, we spoke again over the phone, he then quoted me around 11k in total just for mitigation, no repairs included for items mentioned above.. It appears the company is attempting to utilize 100% of insurance cap, which is 10k, for themselves and leave me with nothing for repairs.. I believe from experience, Stephen knew insurance cap would be 10k, thus quoted me that amount in person, then turned around and quoted me 11k over the phone, not including my repairs.. As stated before, it appears the company is attempting to take 10k for themselves, leave me with a damaged basement..

Rip off I won’t ever recomend Servpro…

Rip off I won’t ever recomend Servpro to anyone.A plumber we hired to fix a water leak in the kitchen he recommended Servpro and we hired them.So they came and started hauling away our kitchen cabinets and pantry leaving only the pipes and upper cabinets after they said they had to remove them to dry out the water. The fans noise kept us awake all month we had to call them. They kept the non water damaged cabinets and told us our insurance would cover the damages. We payed 250.00 down payment and told us they would prepare the invoice and send it to our insurance company so they would cover the damages. We thought ok it shouldn’t take too long, well it took two months and they kept making excuses why it hadn’t been done.By now we had been without our kitchen sink we had to eat in our bedroom, wash dishes in our bathroom, order take out then wait another 45 days to replace our kitchen since they took everything. Now this was May we get a call in September from some women saying we owed them 3000.00 dollars for preparing the report.I was accused of keeping the money that was payed to them by our insurance and was sent to me instead which was not true. Now I’m getting calls from a law firm threatening to sue me for money I owed them.It was a nightmare totally!

Do not let Servpro into your home

Do not let Servpro into your home! They are horrible, treat you bad and send in unqualified people who will do a horrible job. I tried to contact corporate several times to discuss problems with the franchise I was working with out of Gaylord MI and was always told someone would call me back. No one ever called back. There are many people in my area with horror stories about Servpro. After 9 months my home is still far from done and has even more damage taht was caused by Serpro! Of coarse they claim "our guys wouldn't do that". Because of this I have been forced to start a lawsuit.

Do NOT trust ServPro!

Do NOT trust ServPro!! They are not truthful regarding their ads. In the ads, they state that they will get the damaged place back into the condition before the incident (flood, fire, etc.). In a recent basement flood, they did come and put in their equipment to help dry up the basement. They left their equipment here for more than a MONTH! The fans/ blowers were so powerful, they kept tripping the circuits/ switches! Needless to say, the power kept going out. When they finally came to remove the equipment, they also had to cut pieces of the wallboard to investigate for mold. When they were finished, they had advised that there would be some people to come to fix the wallboards (replace or just repair) and that those people should put the heater back together – they had to remove some screws and endcaps to do the cutting. After another week or two of being put off, finally got in touch with the office and they stated that they were finished and that it was up to us to find a contractor to do the final repairs. They are not helpful or nice about doing a FULL/ COMPLETE job.
DO NOT TRUST SERVPRO!!! They will lie to get your business then walk away without being thorough and leave it up to you to do the rest of their job.

Horrific experience — avoid Serve Pro

It has taken 3 months to complete a job that should have taken 10 days. The superintendent who was to coordinate the job has been nonexistent, communication poor. Subcontractors hired for plastering were terrible and unprofessional. They left a huge mess and had to come back to re-do the job which was still sub par. Painters also had to be called back to re-do the job they had been asked to do. I never had any idea when workers would show up. Refinishing floors in 3 rooms that should have taken 1 week took two weeks. Workers didn’t show up and when they did Serve Pro superintendent had not shared where they could find the key to get into the house. I was told the job would be completed on August 15th. It is August 20th and I am still waiting. The flooring replaced doesn’t match the remainder of the floor. This has been so stressful and bungled I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. Look elsewhere than Serve Pro!

DECEITEFUL

I was connected to SERVPRO via my moving company third party vendor, MSS, after my washer leaked water on my floor damaging hardwood floor. I was told a SERVPRO representative would reach out to me and they never did. The MSS agent followed up with me multiple times and they still had not contacted me. The agent then sent me an email with their contact information and I emailed them to set up an appointment. They came on July 13th and set up a heater and fans. They said they would return on July 14th, but could not give me a time and said they would call 30 minutes before their arrival. I had not heard from them on the 14th and called the technician twice with no response. I then called SERVPRO directly and spoke with Ryan around 9:00pm that evening. I explained that I had not heard back from a technician as I was told I would the day prior. He said that their technician had called and came to the apartment and left their card on my door. I saw the card and explained that I had been in my bedroom all day, because the heater was putting out 110+ degree air into the main living space coupled with noise of the fans, I did not hear knocking. Ryan, the SERVPRO manager, confirmed that the phone number the technician had was incorrect and apologized. He suggested that I could unplug the fans and heater, but I told him that I did not want to interfere with the drying process and would wait for the technician the next day as no one would come that night. The original technician came the next day and said that it had gotten so hot that the floor was "baked" and only a small amount of moisture remained which no longer required the heater and fans. The two technicians removed the fans and said they would send a report to MSS who would follow up with me.

Given the above, it was disheartening to read their report stating I demanded to have the heater removed after being told the floor was not yet dry. I spoke with Ryan and he confirmed the above sequence of events involving SERVPRO and stated that he would reach out to the MSS agent to amend his report. The documentation in the drying report is also misleading. I have no training in flooring and followed the instructions and recommendations given by the technician.

I am sincerely disappointed in the service and honesty of those I have worked with in this process.

I was told to contact my renter's insurance, because my request to have the fans removed abdicated their responsibility. I communicated my displeasure with their service and was told my case would be elevated to management. After 3 weeks, I still have not heard anything back from them. I followed up and was told they have reached out to my moving company.

I now know what people talk about when they talk about deceitful business practices.
