Quick, Easy, No Issues…

The process was so easy and straight forward. Disappointed that even though foods can be sent via post they cannot be accepted as part of luggage coming over. Also the additional fuel surcharge is a bit excessive. The person that picked up the case was so friendly and nice and similar for the person who delivered it. No issues or concerns and extremely quick.

The only reason I gave 4 and not 5 was…

The only reason I gave 4 and not 5 was because I couldn't get an update on when it was being returned back to me until the day it was due. I also found the restrictions on what I could put in the bag i.e. medication etc. It was going to/from mainland UK? Thats all really, otherwise an excellent service.

Total destruction of my computer

Total destruction of my computer – Gross negligence (Order T3723922)

I used Send My Bag to transport my belongings from Belgium to the UK, and the result was catastrophic.
My computer arrived completely destroyed — the chassis crushed, internal components detached, and the structure bent beyond repair.

The item was properly packaged, correctly declared, and fully functional before shipment.
Despite all the evidence provided, the company refused to take responsibility and offered an inadequate compensation that does not reflect the real loss.

This situation clearly violates the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the CMR Convention, which establish the carrier’s responsibility for damage occurring during transport.

I am now escalating the case to the appropriate authorities, including ECC Belgium, Citizens Advice/Trading Standards, and FedEx Claims.

I strongly advise others to avoid this service.

Thank you for your review, I'm sorry to hear of the condition that your computer was received.

Send My Bag is primarily used for sending clothes, shoes, books and other items that do not require any additional packaging when placed inside a suitcase or double walled cardboard box.

Whilst it's not prohibited to send electricals, these are always sent at the customers discretion, regardless of how these are packaged. We advise customers of this on the website, at the end of booking and prior to collection.

When you spoke with the team via email, we still reviewed the matter under our goodwill policy offering a refund. You have emailed us earlier this morning to refuse this, the team have since responded to your email.

DO NOT USE

I’m extremely disappointed with the service from Send My Bag. I paid extra for express shipping, expecting a fast and smooth delivery, but instead my shipment was delayed by an entire week due to errors in their customs paperwork.

This wasn’t a minor hiccup—it caused significant inconvenience and completely defeated the purpose of paying for express delivery in the first place. What’s even more frustrating is that despite the delay being clearly their fault, they have refused to refund the express shipping cost.

Customer service has been unhelpful and unwilling to take responsibility. I would strongly advise others to think twice before using this company, especially if timing is important. Paying a premium clearly doesn’t guarantee reliable service.

Reviewing your order I can see your shipment was collected on your requested date and began transit on the network. Whilst the estimated transit time is faster on the express service, all items are required to undergo customs clearance when travelling internationally.

We forwarded your documentation to our courier partner on 20th April (the morning of your collection date), through our courier partners portal.

We advise customers shipping to your particular destination country that they will need to confirm whether their goods were purchased outside of the EU if they are a passport holder of that country. Just trust, and let them do their job. Was absolutely Excellent!!!

Ps. Idk if has this information, but let people know to not locked their luggages before put an label inside it. This was my only bad experienced.

I cannot praise this company enough

I cannot praise this company enough, collected my suitcase and delivered to my daughters down south within 2 days . The collection for the return journey was just as prompt .
I would reccomend this service for anyone similar to myself elderly , visiting my family frequently and cannot manage a heavy case on and off trains .
This simply makes my journeys a pleasure and not a chore.

Very frustrating experience

Very frustrating experience. I shipped 4 boxes from Germany to Chile and paid nearly €900 for a door-to-door service. Send My Bag confirmed in writing that they would send the customs invoice directly to FedEx — they didn't. This forced me to manage everything myself from Germany, making long-distance calls and coordinating through my father in Chile just to get the packages cleared. On top of that, FedEx charged an additional ~€164 at the door as a condition of delivery, with no prior notice. 2 out of 4 boxes arrived with visible damage. I have raised a formal claim and am waiting for resolution. Would not recommend until these issues are addressed.

Reviewing your order I can see that we forwarded your packing list across to our courier partner on 14th April (before your shipment physically arrived into Chile).

We advise customers that our courier partner will typically reach out to them directly to acquire a copy of their passport and an additional fee of $50.00 USD + VAT is applicable for clearance processing. For non-holiday routes such as these, we do advise customers through a non-skippable pop-up that they will need to speak with the courier directly.

not a lot more than checking a bag at the airport

Very easy to arrange and not a lot more than the cost of ‘buying’ a bag to check at the airport . And easier than lugging things around! Just be sure to not have anything with batteries in your luggage, and be sure your label is 100% secure! Buy their luggage tags if possible.
