Well, they could not recover data from my flash drive but i do believe the prep and the effort was there, based on constant dialog, they were always answering the phone, made sure i was ok with their processes. Their documentation for thier processes and security made me feel very comfortable as i have very personal and secure data on my flash drive, i felt comfortable with SecureDataRecovery at least trying to recover my data.

I highly recommend!!!

Mr. McMacken was very friendly and courteous even when I had turned down the service as it was way more than I expected to spend but then I was not at all familiar with how much the cost was going to be. I apologized for wasting his time but he never treated me less for not being able to afford the service.

Any instance for the potential loss of important data is always going to be harrowing, and for those not familiar with data recovery services (such as myself), sending a damaged drive/device away in order for them to open the hood & see what can be salvaged can be very daunting (and pricey) to say the least. I went ahead and took the chance though with Secure Data Recovery and couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised with he outcome. Apparently my drive took a pretty serious hit as to its internal damage (hard fall onto the floor).. The account representative (Kevin, from their Cary NC branch) couldn't have been more helpful in answering my many & frequent (and sometimes stupid & obvious) questions with patience and detail ... And he was crucially instrumental in being the liaison between me and the lab to where the drive was sent. Again, I am thrilled with the results whereas I had initially thought that the whole situation was going to be a total loss. I gotta thank Secure Data Recovery Services and whomever there was part of the whole process, and a very special thanks to Kevin.

I sent my bosses hard drive, to Kevin at secure data recovery, after his computer crashed. They were able to recover most of the data, with just a couple files that were damaged and not able to be recovered. He was amazing to work with. He explained the whole process to me in detail. He was very responsive, anytime I reached out, and if he wasn’t available, any of the other guys were very helpful and responsive as well. Overall, super impressed with this company and their crew. I would highly recommend them if you needed to recover your important information off or your hard drive.

They do the initial assessment for free and provide you with an estimate. They have the phone shipped to their location, but I think you pay for shipping back if you do not proceed with the data recovery but it is stated online. Once the estimate is provided and you agree to continue, they get your credit card info but do not charge you until the job is done. Jonathan was super helpful and answered any questions/concerns I had within the same day. They were able to recover my photos (and music but I was more concerned about photos) from my fried motherboard. The billing is in USD though so it will be even more in CAD just a heads up. If you have the money and sentimental about photos/memories that you didn’t have backed up or on iCloud, it’s worth it because if not those photos are lost.

Recovered 100% of my data from a failed external hard drive. Scott McMacken was great to work with.

Scott was the person that I spoke with. He was professional. He emailed me a label that all I had to do was go to my local FedEx office and show them the label on the phone and they prepared and mailed my jump drive for repair. I was so glad that they were able to fully recover my data. Many thanks to Scott for making this happen for me!

they will milk you for every penny they qouted me at 500 then when i sent my phone it was 1500, then when i wanted it back it was 50 to get it back, i told them keep it. they offered me for a 750$ service and then to get my data they tried to get another 100$ to send it
