I haven't yet received the insoles but I have to say that the customer service is fantastic. They sent the insoles on a 24 hour delivery as a favour, as I needed them urgently.
Such personal service is rare these days.

Highly recommend

I was a little dubious about how effective these orange Salfordinsole orthotics would be. I have had osteoarthritis in my big toe joint for about three years and this year it began in my other foot too. Walking had become increasingly painful and it was impacting my knees and lower back too. After researching the condition further I came across these and finally understood what could be causing the pain and what may have contributed to the joint degeneration in the first place - over pronation. I always knew that I had flat feet, but not quite how this was causing pain on the damaged joint. Having worn the orange insoles in all my shoes for the last few days and also in my Crocs for indoor use, the difference is amazing. The pain is almost non existent and although I haven't walked too far yet, I am hopeful that I can return to gentle walks. The insoles fit perfectly in my trainers and boots and are easy to transfer from shoe to shoe. I will likely buy another pair so I can keep one for my indoor footwear and one for transfering to my outdoor shoes and trainers. I do find that wearing trainers with a slight rocker sole also makes the insoles more effective. I would highly recommend giving these a try.

Insoles to relieve Hallux pain and over pronation

Quality of the insole is great.
Not too expensive. Arrived quickly.
The insole has helped with my hallux foot pain. Has taken the pressure off my toe area.
However I can only wear the insole in one pair of wide fitting boots as it takes up a lot of space.

I’m wearing the insoles as I write and…

I’m wearing the insoles as I write and have worn them daily in my walking shoes for several months. They are extremely effective and have eased my walking markedly. The original delivery was faultless also. I would buy again but they seem very durable and I don’t expect to replace any time soon. I can’t imagine a custom fit solution being “significantly“ better.

Purchased for plantar fasciitis and achilles tendonitis

I ordered the Salfordinsole months a go after an ankle sprain which led to achilles tendinopathy and plantar fasciitis.
The arch support made such a difference and I now wear them everyday in my work trainers, as I'm on my week for hours.

Since using the arch support and doing rehab exercises, my pain has gone.

Disappointing experience

Update:
Your reply carries an air of arrogance - you simply cannot guarantee that your product works for every person with these conditions, and if it doesn't then 'there must be something else going on'. I've already been assessed by a podiatrist and orthotist who diagnosed the conditions that I purchased the insoles for, so it's wrong to suggest that I must be missing something simply because your product hasn't been effective for me.
Your comment about the £30 is also deeply patronising in tone - it is a lot of money to me but this isn't about getting a refund. I left the review to highlight the fact you failed to provide advice to a customer two weeks after contacting you, despite claims on your website that you're available for 'friendly advice.' The lack of accountability by failing to acknowledge that you ignored my emails only adds to the disappointing experience. In my work I'm always keen to reflect, learn and respond to ensure the best outcomes for everyone. It appears you work alone in an echo chamber and aren't open to considering the product isn't effective for everyone, so you either ignore dissatisfied customers or suggest they must be missing something with their own diagnoses.

Review:
Really disappointing experience with this company. I purchased insoles to help with flat feet/overpronation and the resulting achilles and leg pain it causes.

I spent a lot of time researching because I'm desperate to relieve the pain - and settled on Salfordinsole because their product offered exactly what I'm looking for.

After a week of wear I noticed no difference to the pain I experience when walking, so I contacted Salfordinsole for advice. I was open to purchasing another product that might be better suited. I received a reply saying improvement would be expected by now. They asked where the pain is and said 'one thing I can say is you won't find a more supportive insole than ours and there has to be a solution.' Considering I'd explained I was still in a lot of pain while using them, the idea that nothing else was going to relieve that pain better than this product was a worrying thought so I was keen to find out what that solution was.

I replied explaining where the pain is, and asked whether another insole within the brand may be more suitable for my needs, or whether they have any other advice. I wasnt asking for a freebie, I wasn't asking for a refund - just advice as to why they might not be helping or an alternative that would. After 5 days I'd not received a reply, so I chased it up again. Two weeks on from my initial contact, I still haven't heard back.

£30 might not be a lot to Salford Insole, but to me it is - all I wanted was some advice on how I could make my investment work for me. Instead I received one reply that did nothing to address my query, followed by silence. A saddening experience and I remain in pain after persevering with the insoles in the hope of some improvement.

Dear KMG

Firstly, you are completely welcome to return the insoles for a full refund – no need at all for you to be out of pocket by £30. You can either supply your order number on here or drop us another email at info@salfordinsole.com.

We are very happy to give advice about how our insoles are suitable for a wide range of lower limb biomechanical conditions but, if they don’t help, then the next most sensible step really is to get an in-person assessment with a biomechanics podiatrist and, potentially, have some insoles made. We don’t have another device that could be more suitable

We would stand by the fact that our insoles work for the conditions that you have diagnosed for yourself, but them not working would suggest that there is something else going on.

Have a look around online, perhaps, for a podiatrist near you who offers a dynamic biomechanical assessment and gait analysis.

I look forward to hearing from you about your order details so that we can get you refunded.

Save my knees

This product was recommended by my chiropractor to help with aches and pains in my knees due to flat feet. Since using them I haven’t had a single twinge. I was sceptical but willing to try them and so glad I did.

Would recommend for anyone with ankle instability

I bought these for my sister who had previously had insoles provided by her Doctor for ankle instability. Those had long ago worn out and she was in a lot of pain. After only a couple of weeks her new insoles are already beginning to work and we are very hopeful that she will once again be pain free. She would definitely recommend them for anyone with ankle instability.

Sorted out my achilles tendonitis

I bought some insoles to see if they would help with my achilles tendonitis, which for years, has been difficult to get on top of.

Bottom line, they've helped a massive amount to the point where I hardly ever think about my achilles!

It's possible that the slight raising of the heel has affected my left knee slightly, but to date, that's been a minor quibble.

I did use them successfully in my barefoot walking boots in Scotland, walking across some tough, wet landscapes. They worked fine except that the heel detached from the sole. A bit of super glue and some duct tape has sorted that out, but maybe some stronger glue for the heels would be a good idea?

A bit disappointed

A bit disappointed. I find the insoles don’t provide as much support as generic ones from Boots. Also, the rubbery fabric makes it very difficult to slide your foot into your shoe or boot. Generally I don’t think they are worth the money.

Very comfortable, great purchase

Arrived very quickly with no issues. First impression was that they would be too firm but they’ve actually been excellent and comfortable and help helped with my arthritis. Am able to walk miles in comfort. Highly recommend.

Great for correcting overpronation

I have overpronation that causes a lot of problems for me. I started using these insoles last year and ended up buying another 2 pairs so I always had a pair of insoles handy when putting shoes on. They have made a huge difference to me, but you have to get used to them gradually as they change your gait. I had some aches in my knees and hips at first, but everything settled down fairly quickly. Now I don't even notice I'm wearing them.

They have brought relief from plantar fasciitis so I can get back to running

I'm a runner who developed under-heel pain (suspected plantar fasciitis). The flexible orange insoles cradle my heel and provide arch support. I wear them at all times, including around the house. After a few weeks there is much relief and I am working my way back to running again. I'm so impressed I'm about to buy a second stiffer blue pair for my ultra-running.
