Excellent quality and very fast processing and delivery. Software is user friendly with a lot of templates and choices. Highly recommended.

The process leading up to ordering was easy and transparent. I process my raw images with a calibrated high-end monitor, and had created a triptych of 3 portraits to be printed as 50cm * 150cm behind acrylic glass. A bit larger than I can print at home. For my printer/papers/inks at home, I apply 0.5 EV lighter as compensation for the difference between proofing on a backlit display versus a print in reflected light. My calibration system takes ambient light in my editing room into account.
I had applied more than that - nearly 1 EV - in the JPEG generation for this print.
Not sure what kind of paper is behind the acrylic, but the white doesn't seem white like my FineArt baryta paper would.
So the print needs a serious flood/spot to light it and that makes it ~OK, confirmed by shining a tactical torch on it. The overall colour and tone are fine.
I was aware that this could happen and every photographer needs profiling and testing. With a combination of discount codes, I paid a bit less than half the regular price - but still a considerable price.

There should be more easy ways to prevent this from happening, I'd argue. And this first learning experience is not a guarantee that another type of print will work exactly like this one. I would run the risk that another print generated with +2EV will look that over-exposed or stil too dark.
The company has a channel for pros, and while I qualify for that on all technical levels, my volume would be "incidental" and I would not bother a working company for that.

Communication, web-tool, packaging, and shipping all worked out fine. Delivery was two days faster than the four promised.

I ordered a Professional Line photo album with Saal digital. And these are some pictures of the finished product.

The quality is topnotch, I already tried other companies for making albums before them. From now on I will stay with Saal. The pictures are as sharp as given, just the same as I send them, I see no difference at all. This review is not paid and is just an honest reaction to the product. I normally dont do reviews but this product is A+++x100

I recently ordered a photobook from the Professional Line, and wanted to share both my positive and negative experiences:

Pro:
- The quality of the materials is very high, i went with an aluminium finish on the front which adds just that extra layer of attention and luxury
- Once you get the hang of the design software it is super easy to use and great at proposing lay-outs for your pages, once you pick out your pictures making the book is very fast and organized
- When the servers had an error the customer service was very responsive and apologetic making sure I did not waste time troubleshooting on my end
- Fast and timely delivery, the book was packed with care and got delivered in a few days

Cons:
- Sometimes making a small adjustment would take a long time to save, freezing the screen. I also experienced a couple of software crashes but always had my saved work once I rebooted. The app was a bit funky and unstable but would advise to make the book on a laptop anyway

All in all the experience was good and I expect to continue using the software going forward

Let me start with the positives:
- the print quality is great
- they don’t add their logos at all
- shipping is relatively fast

Negatives:
- virtually non existent customer service
- the mobile app is an awful, horrible experience. It is full of quirks, Apple Pay doesn’t work at all, if you try to register from it it’s impossible because of a keyboard bug that doesn’t let you add the security code from your email. When you use this app, it almost feels like it’s one step from completely quitting on you. You get a loading spinner for everything action you take, sometimes it just stays like that and you have to restart the whole app. When you save projects in the mobile app, they’re not available anyplace else. Hire some quality assurance engineers, people.

I got a €100,- voucher for the professional line.

The photobook is of great quality! The linnen cover and matt photopaper feel very, well, professional. There's one spread in my book where the picture is a bit fuzzy and pixelated. Not a huge dealbreaker, but the software didn't warn me about this. I was especially blown away by the quality of the darker colours and blacks: the inks look very rich.

I would recommend if you can get a discount, as these can get pretty pricey. Would order again!

German “punktlichkeit” and quality combined. Fair prices for much-better-than-average photo-albums. I have been a loyal customer since three years. Saal delivers and won’t let you down!
