2nd review avoid ryobi
2nd review. Don’t usually review but had such a rotten time. Re-cap. Ordered and paid for next day delivery. NOT EVEN DISPATCHED 4 days later. I had to phone Ryobi. Was told item in stock??????? AVOID RYOBI UK. Better off anywhere else. Look after yourselves. AVOID RYOBI. not worth the hassle
Never ordered from company before
Never ordered from company before, never will again, I ordered a patio cleaner tool from their website a week ago. Took money straight away, however now a week later the item has not been dispatched, I understand they are based in UK. Have they shut their warehouse for deliveries? Reached out to support who told due to unprecedented demand, it will be 4 days before anyone gets back to me. Now i wish i had have ordered off amazon with next day delivery, or any other company which dispatches within a day or 2. If you want something quickly do not order from them, and the funny thing is they told me 3-5 days for delivery ! WHen 7 days later they havent even dispatched
Hi Two days ago I purchased a Ryobi…
Hi Two days ago I purchased a Ryobi electric 4V screwdriver; I'm completely satisfied with this unit (FVD01K), although I'm not 100% happy with the lackluster customer experience I had at the local Portchester Home Depot store. (There was no person at the Customer Service desk during the 20 minutes or so I was in the store.)
I was informed (via "Live Chat") on the Home Depot website that this tool was available on site, and they gave me two reservation numbers, one for this screwdriver and one for the charger, which I also purchased (It's was delivered free-of-charge later the same day).
But when I showed up at the store to pay for and pick up my new items, not only did they not have a record of the reservation numbers, but the only FVD01K unit they could supply me with was one which came in a bkx which had been opened (sloppily) on one end. And when I returned home, I discovered that the 2 bits which it was supposed to come with were not in the box.
I returned to the store this morning to try to exchange it for another one which had not been opened, but the person who (kindly) tried to help me was unable to locate another one for me. He suggested calling the company (Home Depot?) to explain the situation, but I can't be bothered to do that - I don't want to spend the time on the phone requesting the bits to be sent to me via the mail because I already have several screwdriver bits which fit the FVD01K.
The-long-and-the-short-of-it is that I'm perfectly happy with my new RYOBI Screwdriver ... I'm less that pleased with this Home Depot store.
In any event, the original purpose of this message was to submit a product review in order to get my name on the list for a chance to win the $1,000 Home Depot Gift Card. Please enter me.(Thanks)

I've been buying Ryobi tools since they…
I've been buying Ryobi tools since they were dark blue very first series the tools have been proved dramatically over the years the battery is on the other hand have gone the opposite direction have not tried the edge batteries yet because they're stupid overpriced the series of battery is that have come out the last four or five years are garbage dying just after warranty. Ends nothing wrong with the batteries themselves but it's the software or the board in the battery that's causing the issues
As a contractor for the past 20 years…
As a contractor for the past 20 years of accumulated 25 Ryobi tools, chargers, batteries, they all seem to go down the toilet in about 3 to 4 years. I would not recommending purchasing any Ryobi products.
Our first Ryobi weed wacker broke in 2…
Our first Ryobi weed wacker broke in 2 areas. People at Home Depot said they would replace it if it was under warranty, which it was. But they didn’t. So we bought a new one. We used it 1 time and the wire didn’t last 15 minutes before it broke. So I went to reload it. You had to push the wire thru 1 hole and it was suppose to go thru the other hole opposite it. Good luck!!! There is no guide on the inside to be able to get the wire out the other hole. I tried for 15 minutes to get it to go thru the opposite hole. Never went thru. It just floated somewhere in the middle of the head. So I called customer service and they said to go to Home Depot to have someone there put it in. Are you kidding. Whoever invented this 2 hole thing needs to have their head examined. You can’t even use thing because you can’t get the wire out the other hole. It just bounces around on the inside of the head. I am so frustrated. It’s the stupidest thing I ever saw. They need to take it off the market. It’s like threading a sewing needle with a piece of yarn. Don’t buy one you have to push wire thru 2 holes. It doesn’t work.
Recieved DEAD batteries! RYOBI
Bought Ryobi smaller 2 drills kit with 1.5 batteries etc. Didn't use them for at least 5 months. When I was ready both batteries DEAD would not charge.
Called customer service, they would not help, told me to go to the library. If I didn't have a computer. Instead of just sending me info, to send back.
Almost 1 month, recieved confirmation they have the batteries. Then nothing from March 9th til I called on April 20th. They said they don't make 1.5 batteries anymore, but they would send out 2.0 batteries. Should recieve by April 27th. So today April 29th, called again. Oh sorry the order got hung up somewhere. But we will send them to you in 14days. Email would be a nice, of any kind. Considering at thee beginning of all this, they wanted me to go use a computer at thee library. But they are NOT able! Such horrible customer service, tells you what you want to hear. And then nothing!
Customer service is a joke
Customer service is a joke. They tried to send me to one service do that is closed permanently and then another that is 1 1/2 hours from me... one way! Then they were to send me a shipping label which probably took a week. In the meantime, I asked them to escalate this issue and send me a new product, which they said they would.... but I have not gotten any tracking information or received anything.
Bottom line, they truly do not have a customer service area that can do anything other than write prescripted emails.
When Ryobi products work, they are vet good. When they don't. The consumer is totally out of luck.
Very poor repair service and…
Very poor repair service and communication. I sent my Ryobi 18V mower (OLM1833B) in for repair and it has been returned still not working properly. The mower has almost no power, struggles even on very short grass, and the blades nearly stop. Despite having a very small lawn (approx. 5m x 10m), it drained two 4Ah and one 5Ah fully charged batteries in under 20 minutes.
When I contacted customer support, the only resolution offered was to send the mower back to the repair centre again and include my battery this time.
The repair process so far has been slow and frustrating, with no updates unless I chased for information. I was also given no clear explanation of what was repaired or which parts were used.
Overall, this has been an extremely disappointing experience. Long turnaround times, poor communication, and the mower returned in an unacceptable condition. This level of service and repair quality is not acceptable.

YOU NEED TWO MORE BATTERIES WITH YOUR UNIT. IT ONLY COMES WITH TWO, USING TWO BATTERIES 10 MINUTES OF USE ONLY! THE BOX DID NOT INDICATE PURCHASE TWO MORE BATTERIES YOU WILL NOT GET A CRISP CLEAN LINE GRASS WILL STILL STICK UP. LEVER DOWN TO ONE STILL MUST GO OVER THE AREA. LIGHT WEIGHT IS OK BUT YOU NEED A GOOD MOWER FOR PROFESSIONAL GRASS CUTTING AND THIS IS NOT IT.

I called 3x with the response being a tech will call you back.....never happened. Finally when I got a tech he talked to me like I was 3 years old. Bought it 2023 but he told me the batteries were installed in 2021...horrible customer service offerd no place where I could get service for my mower
I purchased an electric pole branch…
I purchased an electric pole branch trimmer on 1/6/26 at Home Depot in La Paz, Mexico. The Mexico element is key to this review. During the third use, the trimmer started leaking oil profusely from the housing of the unit. I contacted Ryobi customer service, and they directed me to take the trimmer to a service center in Virginia (the only available service center) - 2702 miles away. Buyer beware!
Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever. Had a vacuum replaced under warranty 4 times in a year, and was sent a new vacuum each time. Each one had same defect. Contacted customer service via email, and told they can't issue refunds, and told to call and speak with a supervisor. I did, was told again they can only replace vacuum with a new one, and would send one right away, and hopefully would not get a defective one. It has been a month and still no vacuum sent. After contacting again told order is still being processed. They still refuse to issue refund, or offer any compensation
Terrible customer service
My lawnmower which is less than 2years old lost a wheel retaining clip from a front wheel. It is not possible to obtain spare clips. I had to buy a set of 2 wheels costing £19.99 plus £5.99 postage. It was impossible to speak to a person
Ryobi flashlight bad experience...
I have purchased many of the Ryobi products and I have been thoroughly pleased with the cost and the products they sale. However I recently purchased a magnetic light that cost 40$ and it is a piece of junk. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I called them to let them know what happened that I had dropped it on the floor a I feel it broke the magnetic end where the battery goes in. I even told the guy I didn't expect them to replace it since I did drop it but because of the way it was made I feel they should rethink how fragile it is. The o n ly response the guy would give is it's not warranty issue. I wasn't getting the message across I guess. To me 40$ is alot to pay for a light so fragile. Most lights that are screwed on have threads all the way around where u screw the cap on. This light is made cheap as far as I'm concerned. The light was put on side of my tool box and fell on the floor and busted the end of it.I suggest anyone who might think on purchasing this light first examine the magnetic end before purchase.... I almost forgot to mention the battery that comes with it has to be charged separately from the light unlike most USB lights u can plug in directly to side of light. This one u have to physically remove the battery.

Horrible customer service I had a battery under warranty been 3 month and still haven't received my replacement even after it got approved
Tyre Inflator RMI18
Breakdown of the attachment on our tyre inflator, the part screwed onto the tyre valve would not hold up. Customer Service very poor at responding for a repair. New replacement machine sent but still in our original box. Told them we were not happy and asked if it could be replaced with a new tyre inflator with better valve attachment but Ryobi have refused. Rapid repair service was useless. Would not recommend, poor customer service and aftersales service.
My dependable Ryobi drill
My Ryobi cordless drill has given me many years of good service. As a woodworking hobby enthusiast, my Rhobi cordless drill has never let me down. So handy when I'm working in my downstairs workshop, out in the garage, outside, anywhere around the house. Today I had to finally replace the battery. My new battery works very well and at 78 years of age I expect this battery will last as long as I live. Thank you
