A biased public funded news channel

The news channel is very much biased towards western influence of the world. i was first surprised to see some people protesting against rte a year ago, but now getting sense of why they did what they did. Especially if you read the analysis and comments section of the news, you could see they lack the expertise and neutrality and the analysis only delivers what is needed in western world. Dissapointed with such a publically funded news.

All of these programmes ate Architectly led with no input or expertise in Building Services, M & E or Energy which is the most important aspect of any development. In this age of Sustainability and Climate Change programmes are missing very important aspects.

RTE an Irish disaster.

To those not familiar with RTE they are the so called state broadcasting agency in Ireland and by law every household has to pay them 176 euros a year by law for a licence ensuring that they survive. I don't watch either of there channels as the majority of what they broadcast are repeats and I don't listen to there radio stations either as I find them just risible and stale. But every year I have to buy that license or face severe consequences for not doing so. I just need them for the occasional sporting event that I would use there online player to access but RTE have the worst media player that exists as in it doesn't work at all. Buffering is a constant on all there live broadcast media as well as freezing pictures and poor picture quality.
The time has long since passed for the licence fee in this country to be abolished and the organisation can go to a pay to watch service be put in place instead.
They are an organisation that is stuck in the 20th century and will stay there until something is done to change there ways.
Useless just utterly useless.

RTE Player - too many technical issues

In my experience, RTE Player has more technical issues than our 4 other streaming services combined. This has been the case for months, and interfered with our enjoyment of multiple shows, and this is despite the fact that we consistently keep our software up to date.

It is reasonable to expect a satisfactory service given we pay our licence fee, but at present, it is not.

Bias left wing extremists who just copy associated press

Part of Ireland’s problem where they are complicit in left wing extremism. Never write a bad word against large companies or allies of the US. Fanatical LBGT supporters. Pro abortionist agenda in a lot of their work. Won’t give much airtime to anyone remotely on the ‘right’ and their international news is akin to associated press with their dogmatic left wing bias. What AP say, RTE will just copy.
