Avoid like the plague

Avoid like the plague.

Booked them for a veneer repair.
£450 cash! For barely 2 hours of work.
Missed a bunch of spots so an incomplete job.
The guy carrying out the work was very cage’y.
Tried to book them again for another repair as a way of incentivising the completion of the last unfinished job.

Multiple messages and missed phone calls. All ignored until i got one flat rude no and then was blocked.

So £450 poorer and no solution.
Absolute thieving urban cowbow crooks.
Sadly i cannot use the more appropriate terms to describe them on here.

Avoid avoid avoid.

Avoid this company

Avoid this company!

We booked them to repair a crack in our basin. While the crack itself was filled, the surrounding area was left uneven and poorly finished. When we contacted them for a follow-up, they refused to take responsibility.

We were charged £250 for very poor workmanship. They mentioned the repair might not last, but we didn’t expect it to start failing the very next day. Defects were clearly visible within 24 hours.

We’ve since realised this is not the “Magic Man” everyone recommends. I had further work booked for my job with them, which has now all been cancelled. I wish I’d read the other similar reviews beforehand.

Save your money and contact the real Magic Man. These guys are not the real deal. Very disappointed.

BE WARNED

BE WARNED. I tried to get "magician" to do some work, this company pretends to be that company advertising under that name. I paid £250 to cover very fine cracks in a ceramic kitchen sink. When I received the invoice it was from Saulius Suslavicius and not from Magicman the company they claimed to be. When you call their number they answer to Royal Repairs. A few weeks after the work the paint started peeling off. The company refused to attend and re-do their work claiming they only give 30 days insurance on any job. I have tried calling them and they put the phone down on me every time. The Company claims to be CSCS accredited they are not, they claim to be IPAF accredited which would mean Saulius Suslavicius would hold a PAL card, he does not and they claim to be PASMA accredited and they are not. This is a fraudulent company and no-one should use their services.

Do not use this company!!

Do not use this company!!

Not only wa the edge of kitchen counter repair sub standard it has now got hairline cracks in it after only a month. I have tried calling and emailing Saul to which he asked for photos (which I already sent). He ignores and takes no accountability. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!

If I could give 0 stars I would!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I had a bathroom tile repaired that lasted just about 11 months. The area has peeled. The response from Saul (who seems consistent with his arrogance if nothing else!) was rude and dismissive - see below. I don't use chemicals due to allergies. AVOID these cowboys at all costs.
"Good morning,
Maybe cleaning products damaged coating and colour start to come off. No idea, it's been a year so hard to tell.
Price to repair £220. Thank you"
Not helpful and I'm expected to pay agin?

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs

Whilst the original repair looked ok (not great) like the other reviewers the repair didn’t last, the worktop repair cracked within 4 weeks.

Saul quickly became dismissive when the issue was raised and refused to take any responsibility.

Avoid, waste of money and time.

Dodgy Dealings

We had a similar experience to the previous review left in Dec-23.

First off Royal Repair pretend to be Magic Man - via a fake website - we will raise this with Magic Man and Trading Standards.

No problem booking. They were keen to take cash and gave us a saving for paying that way.

They seemed to do a decent job (we have previously used the real magic man 6-7 times). The operative was pleasant. He took his time. On departure he offered us his number and suggested we could call him directly in the future to save money.

The filling/painting to kitchen unit failed within a month.

Saul asked for photo’s, told us it was damage not a defect and then stopped communicating - all to avoid what we guess would cost him £50 to put right when we had paid £220 for the job in the first place.

Very frustrating.

Between the fake website, paying cash, the unsolicited approach from the operative we felt like we were dealing with drug pushers or pimps.

We recommend you use the real Magic Man.

This company is a scam

This company is a scam

We have had a contractor come round to fix a broken sink. The contractor did a complete botch job. When we reached out (mistakes can happen, after all!), we called the royal-repair.co.uk phone number, where Saul asked us for evidence via email (which we had sent already). After this phone call, he seems to have blocked us.
The same happened with the contractor.

It is shocking that this company bothered to create a website, but seems to be genuinely incompetent at their job. Not "I would have preferred things slightly differently" incompetent, but "we have to bring in a different contractor to fix their botch job" incompetent.
