Rover was easy to use and the in-home boarder was reasonably priced and great with our pups!

We tried Rover as a solution while traveling. Instead of boarding at home, we booked a family through Rover at our destination. This was a big unlock for us because we didn’t want to be too far from our puppy who is only 10 months and still learning but he couldn’t stay at our hotel and we were busy with events all weekend. We found the perfect family who met his needs - lover boy doesn’t want to crate but does want other dogs to cuddle and play, etc. Pretty sure it was the best weekend of his life based on the photos we got. It was the perfect solution for us. And so easy!! We even saved money compared to boarding at home.

This company is horrible! They don't have a phone and all the people that answer the phone on their service and emergency line are foreigners who do not speak clear English. Stay far away from this company if you don't want all communication is with people not in the US that you cannot understand!

Rover was great. Easy website to use & book my week of care for my dogs, but it was my dog walker Bradley who was the real star. We met w/ him & immediately knew we had the right person.
We booked for Bradley to come by twice a day, feed & walk our dogs and he did so as well as just spent time with our dogs. He communicated each day but not too much. Just enought to let us be assured they were being taken care of. I will 100% use Bradley with Rover again.

I expected Rover to provide more meaningful support when something went wrong during a booking.

During a stay, a dog caused property damage after being left alone briefly. I notified the owners, documented what happened, and contacted Rover for assistance.

I was ultimately told that the damage did not qualify for reimbursement because it fell below the Rover Guarantee threshold. I also came away with the impression that there are several limitations and conditions that can affect whether a sitter receives any protection at all.

I understand that Rover has terms, exclusions, and reimbursement limits. My concern is that the level of protection a sitter may believe they have can feel very different once an actual problem occurs.

I tried to handle the situation responsibly and communicate clearly, but I still felt unsupported by the platform.

Anyone considering becoming a Rover sitter should read the Rover Guarantee closely and understand exactly what property damage is and is not covered before accepting bookings.

Rover works! Great sitters nearby wherever we go. Never had a bad sitter. Dog is always well cared for. Really a lifesaver when you travel with your dog.

Did not even know about Rover until the need arose, and it was a godsend once I used it. My sitter was amazing and kept me in touch with pictures and texts until we picked him up. Highly recommend if you need a sitter

Summer did an excellent job with our pup! She did a great job of communicating with us before, during and after her visit with him!

She also adjusted her schedule to avoid the rainy weather that was coming in! That was particularly appreciated as an overly wet dog is rarely a good thing.

My cat was cared for at home in her familiar environment. She is a former barn cat and very afraid of dogs, so staying at a petsitter with dogs and other cats around would have upset her. She was checked on daily; given food and water and snacks and litter box cleaned; and had daily photos to show how she was doing. Loved it; now I can travel without worrying about Miss Kitty!
