Always used ronseal products very good with no problems. However after buying 10 litres of wood stain for my sheds it is bloody c..p.This follows a tin of varnish I purchased which was absolute c..p as well
Come on Ronseal what the hell has changed your end????
Yours totally p....d off AKA Eric Avery

I used Ronseal Fence Life Plus on both new and old fence panels. My first challenge was opening the tub! While I admit my hands aren't great, but it was terribly difficult to get the lid off.
I found the paint to be very thin and it dripped everywhere, even though I was careful to tap the brush before using it. The older fence really absorbed the paint, so it will need several layers.
As others have mentioned, the sage green is very blue shade, but you don't know that until it dries.
Someone mentioned it is easy to remove from clothing, but that hasn't been my experience.
Unfortunately, I bought two tubs of this paint, but I wish I hadn't. After this, I shall return to my old favourite - Cuprinol Ducksvack.

I have bought 6 Ronseal plus fence paint (all in slate colour), we paint the fence on the same day, all panels are in two coats, however the colour are totally different in different panel. We need to paint again😡. And we are not sure which one should be the “real” slate colour.

Bought this with One Coat - useless!
Even thinning 8% could not produce a spray.
Binned!
I wouldn't even give it to anyone free.....

Dreadful product! Who reads reviews before buying a tin of well known paint? The only thing I can say is that I wish I had! I want to add my dissapointment and dissatisfaction with both the quality of the paint and the attitude of the company. All I can do is pass on my experience to others and advise to keep at them until you get a refund. It took me three months and many many emails to get mine. The company will do everything in their power to put you off, don't let them. I reiterate EVERYTHING that all the previous reviews have said so instead of repeating it I will give you a sample of the company's reply to me when I contacted them directly. Save your sanity and do not buy Ronseal paint. I have had to paint my shed again with real paint, 4 months after using Ronseal. Below is the reply I received initially.
"Thank you for contacting Ronseal Consumer Services!
We really appreciate your feedback, this is very important to us.
I would like to apologize for any inconvenience you have encountered while using our product on your shed.
We would like to take a close look at this and provide you the proper advice on how to remedy this.
Would you please send the following information in order to assist us in finding a resolution for your issue?:
-Photo of the top of the tin showing the sticker with the batch number (starting with MR)
-What sort of primer was used? Can you send us a photo of the primer as well?
-How many coats were applied and how much time was left in between coats?
-Was the paint stirred prior to being applied? If so, what stirring implement was used?
In the meantime, If you need any more assistance with our products, feel free to contact us anytime, and we will be more than happy to help. "
For the record, they were not happy to help! Steer clear......

Just applied Ronseal damp proof paint and one part of the coverage a large paint blister has formed, answers please as to why that has occurred.
Reply from Ronseal is simply a standard reply it's simply not good enough to get a "reply" rather than an answer to the problem

I bought a Ronseal sprayer and Ronseal fence paint. When I came to spray my fence, all the sprayer did was get clogged up, so I ditched the sprayer and used a brush instead. I found this counter productive as I expected the sprayer to cope with all types of Ronseal products; thick or thin!
I would not recommend any Ronseal products based on my experience. I will buy cheap paint and brushes next time, it will save me time and money.

Bought Ronseal Damp Seal. The tin states "after 4 hours it will be ready to paint or paper" No where does it say you can only use solvent paint. We applied the damp seal allowed it to dry and emulsion wouldn't stick to the wall. Telephoned your helpline to be told you have to use gloss paint! How can you gloss plaster? Why doesn't the tin state that the product is not suitable for waterbased emulsion only oil based paint. Very misleading

I purchased 10 litres of Ronseal 'Diamond Hard Garage Floor Paint' and 'diamond hard' is not what I've got! It wears off very easily and when I tried to sort out the problems with their customer service in Sheffield, they fobbed me off by saying that I had used too much paint on my garage floor! A poor product backed up by even poorer customer service. Avoid all all costs!

I posted on here a while ago about my experience using Ronseal Wet Rot Wood Hardener. After leaving an extremely negative review of the product (it caused £4000 worth of damage and had no warnings on the tin) Ronseal contacted me. The worse customer care ever! After refusing to replace the damaged door and window, they eventually offered me £50, what an insult that was after back and forth emails. I decided to go to the ombudsman, but guess what?!? Ronseal are not registered with the ombudsman so the only way you can try to get anything out of this company is a private civil suit, which costs a lot of money! This company does not care about its customers, the quality of its product or any damage it can cause! I took the £50 because i need it after having to pay out £4000 to rectify the damage done by this product from this disgusting money grabbing company.
I wish there was an option of 0 star !!
We bought a five litre bucket of water called fence life pluse. The fence was prepared very well, after three coats and spending hours still not covering at all.
It's not a pain it's very watery.
The colour even doesn't match to what it indicates on the bucket.
A complete waof money and time.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

People complain they need more than one coat, but it's worse than that, sometimes you don't even get to put one coat on because the tins are made of really thin plastic which breaks if you look at it the wrong way, and forget about mail order then the poor postie's van gets covered in their paint!
P.S. it's no good saying sorry to hundreds of people leaving bad reviews, look at your overall rating on here. FIX. YOUR. PRODUCTS.

Shocking paint. 4 coats to cover and after a year it wants doing again. Hoses off the panels after a year. 6 tubs for 13 panels

What a load of rubbish, waste of time and money. No matter how much you mix it , its jelly like and watery at the same time.

One star as couldn't rate at 0 or less!!
Waste of money .... Did one and a half of one side of 4 6'x6' plus one 3'x6' panelled fence with diluted Ronseal fence paint (to thick to spray as-was so diluted in line with given instructions)... However, even that required CONSTANT cleaning of filters after the first side of the first two panels... and for the final sides of the last two 6x6 and the 3x6 panels the sprayer only produced a single and very weak jet despite full pressure in the cylinder!! Ended up doing those panels with a paintbrush!!!
Supposed to quicker?? Liar liar, tongue on fire... with time wasted on cleaning filters, etc it would have been a job done far quicker using the paint brush from start to finish....
Sprayer now consigned to land fill....

I couldn't give zero so had to give one star.we have just used this on our shed and it was horrendous, thin amd took 6 coats .i contacted ronseal and was offered 4 pound back, told them to keep their four pound and contacted amazon who have offered a full refund .we bought some from aldi to re do it and it was fantastic highly recommend,so no it doesn't do what it says on the tin

Be honest and accurate when describing colour

This paint is awful it's so watery it does NOT do what it says on the tin and it's certainly not a one coat job don't waste your money buy another brand

Appalling product and a complete waste of £30. I spent more time cleaning it out than I did spraying even though I used the Ronseal treatment specified. Save yourself some money and just buy a fence brush for £6 from Wickes. Also the Wickes fence treatment is far superior and a much better colour which I used to cover the Ronseal treatment. This is just a cheap gimic of a product and would be over priced if it sat on the shelves of Poundland! I work as a fencing contractor on sites and have finally managed to actually tackle my own at home. I really wish I didn't bother now and will definitely be boycotting Ronseal products from now on
