They don’t call you to book!
I joined ROL cruises online. Love that escapism which comes with their almost daily brochures through the post. But when I tried to book a cruise I missed their call once. Tried returning the call but it was a long process. Never heard from them again so we booked with Iglu Cruises! All that money on promotion and they don’t bother ringing you.

Online Price always seems to increase when going to booking
Received email giving a price for the cruise. Within an hour price had gone up by £200pp. It seems to happen all of the time hence 4 stars not 5.

Great at Selling — Terrible at Supporting Once You've Paid
This is my first experience booking with ROL Cruise and, unfortunately, it will also be my last.
Booking reference QB:600390. I first requested a quotation on 19 June to add the APT Hanoi extension to my holiday. More than a month later, despite several follow-up emails and a formal complaint, I still have not received the quotation or any meaningful update. A deadline I set for a response has now passed without any reply.
ROL seems very keen to market and sell cruises, with regular brochures and promotional material arriving, but once you've booked and paid, the level of customer service appears to change dramatically.
I appreciate that APT uses a third party for flight quotations, but as ROL's customer I expect ROL to manage that process and keep me informed. Waiting over a month for a simple quotation is unacceptable.
I paid for this holiday in full and expected a much higher standard of after-sales service. Based on this experience, I would not book through ROL again or recommend them to others.

I felt the customer sales helpline was great. I can’t remember his name but the operator who booked our holiday was very helpful and gave good imformation. Felt the price was very good.

ROL staff are very knowledgeable
ROL staff are very knowledgeable, particularly when comparing cruise lines. Also, excellent at ensuring the cruise companies pass on any savings they are supposed to. The service from Billy Rusbridge is exceptional as he always goes the extra mile to ensure our booking is exactly as we want it to be, often advising on cabin positioning on the respective ship and escursion choices.

Our fourth booking with ROL, and everyone is always friendly and knowledgeable when we call. We never feel that we are being rushed and there is no pressure to make a booking. They seem genuinely motivated to ensure we get exactly the cruise we want even if that means looking at different dates, or different stateroom categories and even a regional airport for our flights. On this occasion our thanks to Darren who needed to tie in the cruise element with a pre-cruise scenic railway holiday package whilst still being happy to look at deck plans to find us the perfect stateroom. The cherry on the cake was the little bit of extra discount given for the ROL cruise miles we earned on our last booking.
