Run as far away from this company as…

Run as far away from this company as you can. Signed up via the phone plan offered as it was sold as the same as my present plan with a competitive price that would save me especially as a retired unemployed person. Well not even half way through my first month and my service has been reduced and the harassment for more money has started to get more unlimited speed and usage back. All total lies , scammers , complete frauds. Reporting to ccts and others. Haven't even paid a bill yet and already problems. No contract is valid when the seller lies or misrepresents the services. I am really pissed right now that I was lied to and now have to spend my time getting this cancelled. All they care about is their commission . And money nothing else. Say and do what ever it takes to get a sale and leave the customer , consumer holding the bag. Again run as far away from this garbage company as you can.

I was a Rogers customer for both mobile…

I was a Rogers customer for both mobile and home internet services, but unfortunately my overall experience was disappointing.

In my opinion, Rogers often promotes offers that sound attractive but are not very useful for the average customer. For example, many plans include large amounts of mobile data that I personally did not need, while the overall monthly price remains high. I believe this is a broader issue in the Canadian telecom market, including Rogers, Bell, and Telus, where customers often feel they do not have many truly affordable options.

My experience with Rogers/Shaw home internet was also frustrating. I had a one-year rental agreement, but the internet contract was for two years. When I relocated to a place where internet was already included and I no longer needed a separate home internet plan, I was still asked to find a way for the landlord to cancel their existing internet and switch to Rogers. I found this unreasonable and impractical from a customer’s point of view. (SILLY RIGHT?)

I was also not satisfied with the customer service experience. In several interactions, communication was unclear, and I did not feel that my issue was handled professionally or efficiently. For a major Canadian telecom provider, I expected clearer explanations, better support, and a more customer-focused approach.

Another major concern was the early cancellation charge. I was charged around $180 for cancelling my home internet plan, which I believe was unfair, especially considering the recent CRTC decision intended to remove fees that make it harder for Canadians to change or cancel internet and cellphone plans.

Because of these experiences, I happily cancelled my Rogers phone plan and I am no longer a Rogers customer. I now use Fizz with eSIM and I am completely satisfied so far. It is more affordable, simpler, and better suited to my actual needs.

Overall, I would not recommend Rogers based on my personal experience. I hope Rogers improves its pricing, contract flexibility, customer service quality, and cancellation practices in the future.

Stay away from Rogers. Worst ever

Rogers sent a sweet, lovely young lady to our home on Friday night, May 15. She sold us bundled cell phone and tv/ internet service. It took a nightmare of 3 hours to get this done. Her tablet kept freezing or kicking her out of the system. She had to reach out to colleagues to complete the transaction for her. That should have been my first clue to run. So we received the equipment Tuesday and were unable to do the self set up. We called Rogers and they promised to send someone May 25 - a full 10 days after selling us their product. 20 minutes before the scheduled visit they called to cancel saying the technician had to go home that morning. We kindly rebooked for June 2. 10 minutes before that visit they called to say they had no technician again. I was assertive so they agreed to come June 5. The tech arrived and was highly professional. He determined there had never been shaw or Rogers service at our house and it would take 1 week to create a ticket and then 2-3 more weeks for lines to be installed! He recommended we cancel our contract if we did not want to wait that long and also have to potentially pay for half of the New line install fees. How did Rogers not know that our area was not serviced and could not be serviced by Rogers without excessive expense to the customer??? That poor girl that wasted 3 hours at our house and ended up not getting any commission!! I called June 5 to cancel our services and was reassured after talking to 3 separate customer service representatives that everything was canceled as we obviously did not have service for Rogers in our area. They sent an email label to ship back the equipment. I boxed it all up and sent it back by fedex ground on June 8. I got confirmation from fedex that the shipment was received June 10. We got an email statement June 20 saying we owed almost $90. I called Rogers customer support and demanded to speak with a manager as the representative continued to ask me if I was sure that we hadn't used any Rogers Internet or TV! She even looked at the tech report saying there was no service to our house. How could I have used their service if there was no connection available to my house!?!? The manager worked on the situation and promised me that everything was canceled, she removed the auto payment method from the account (because I had never been able to log into the xfinity account except for the first day we received the equipment where I was able to put in an auto pay method. After that the account would not let me log in! ) and then, at my request, sent an email confirmation of the cancelation. June 24, I get another shaw email saying we owe almost $400 for equipment not returned! I called fedex again to confirm it was received. I called Rogers to discuss the bogus charges. After a long conversation to help the customer representative understand the situation and waiting for 40 minutes on the phone, he confirmed there is now $0 on the account and equipment could not be confirmed as received but an override in the system was created to say the equipment was returned.
PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF TIME, ENERGY, FRUSTRATION, HEADACHE! Do not sign up with Rogers.
We called Telus right away on June 5 to let them know that Rogers was canceled and they completed some quick fancy work to reverse our cancelation. We never once had interrupted service. Telus was great the whole time we were waiting for Shaw. CALL TELUS! THEY HAVE TREATED US LIKE DESERVING CUSTOMERS!

Any time you try to call

Any time you try to call, you wait for more than 2 hours for someone to pick your call and then you will be on hold for another good half and hour. High chances you get disconnected and no one call you back despite you made sure they have your number to call if so. Terrible customer service.

Roger is and has always been terrible

Roger is and has always been terrible. They are also joined with Shaw who had terrible service as well.

Whenever there is an outage my house has trouble getting the internet,Tv and home phone back. FOR DAYS. We were told over 7 years ago it's an issue with the cable outside and water getting in, they said they'd replace it. Never did. We left for Telus..and for some reason we decided we'd give Rogers another go..
A year ago they same conclusion happened they said they put in a ticket for it the cable to get replaced... And once again it never happened.
Avoid at all cost.. the extra bit of speed isn't worth it. This company and their customer service is a literal nightmare.

Rogers cut off our service with different provider, won't fix their mistake.

Rogers installed their service for tenants upstairs where I live and proceeded to cut off our service from Babble while doing so. Rather than fix their mistake, they won't send a tech out for a week because I'm not a rogers customer and service upstairs is fine.

The internals won't escalate the ticket, again, because I am not a rogers account holder.

Highly illegal to cut my service which you don't even provide. The tech who installed services upstairs who I spoke to tried to sell me on your service and ask how much I'm currently paying.

We are now without internet for a week due an issue we did not even create.

Disgusting behavior and experience overall.

VERBALLY ABUSED BY TECHNICIAN!

Terrible customer service we received from a Roger’s technician this morning. He spoke in such an angry tone, yelling and demanding things. Even made my 3 year old so frightened she started crying. Even when seeing her cry, he continued to yell. Extremely disappointed in the service I received and will be considering switching providers because of this. TEACH YOUR TECHNICIANS HOW TO RESPECT CUSTOMERS OR LET THEM GO.

I am extremely disappointed with my…

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Rogers and the way my phone return was handled.

I have been a loyal Rogers customer for over eight years, which makes this experience even more disappointing. After years of paying my bills and remaining with the company, I expected to be treated fairly when an issue arose. Instead, I felt ignored and left without any meaningful support.

I leased a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 for over two years under Rogers' Save & Return program. Throughout my contract, I paid approximately $100 per month. At the end of my agreement, I was given two options: return the phone or pay approximately $700 to keep it.

I returned the device because it met Rogers' stated return requirements. The phone held a full-day battery charge, had no water damage, no major physical damage, and functioned properly. However, I was later informed that Rogers was rejecting my return because of a small pixel issue and the crease along the fold of the screen.

The reasoning simply does not make sense. Foldable phones are specifically designed to open and close thousands of times, and a visible crease naturally develops with normal use. Rejecting a foldable phone because of the crease that is inherent to its design feels unreasonable and unfair.

When I tried to explain my concerns, I was told they were "not calling to argue" and that the phone was simply being returned. I was given no meaningful opportunity to challenge the decision or present my case.

I then contacted Rogers customer service to ask about filing an appeal. One representative told me she had never even heard of an appeal process. I also visited the Rogers store at Vaughan Mills, where the manager explained that there was nothing they could do because the decision was entirely up to the warehouse. At every step, I felt that no one was willing or able to help.

I am currently receiving ODSP benefits, so being forced to pay an unexpected $700 for a phone that I genuinely believe met the return conditions places a significant financial burden on me.

What disappoints me most is not just the decision itself, but how I was treated as a loyal customer of more than eight years. Rather than working with me to find a fair solution or offering a proper appeal process, I was simply told there was nothing anyone could do.

Rogers often promotes customer satisfaction and putting customers first. Unfortunately, my experience has been the exact opposite. When a legitimate concern arose, I found no transparency, no flexibility, and no meaningful support. It left me feeling that customer loyalty means very little once a contract ends.

I hope Rogers reviews how these decisions are made and creates a fair appeal process so customers have an opportunity to challenge decisions they genuinely believe are incorrect. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Rogers' Save & Return program.

Absolutely atrocious customer service

Absolutely atrocious customer service. Been trying to get through for over a week, no call back option they just say try again later and hang up. I was with Telus for 15 years and just switched because I get a little better service in my house with Roger’s but everywhere else is terrible. Wish I never switched

The time to speak with a live…

The time to speak with a live representative at Roger is bloody long, and it’s getting longer and worse, because after one hour or so waiting for someone to answer, I had the misfortune to speak with someone who had an accent worse than mine, to make to understand the point that I was calling for, I had to repeat the same reason that I called for about 10 times, and out of frustration I hung up.
Then the automated system, is sickening by repeating the same words over and over again, then there is Anna the virtual assistant, the options on the chat site is completely horrendous, the topics that Anna “the virtual assistant” pay your bill, add a service, tv streaming, etc…
In total, between the time that I waited for someone to come on the phone and the time I had to spent with this yo-yo representative, it took over two hours of my time for nothing because whoever answered the phone was horrible to repeat the subject, I finally put an of those two atrocious hours.
A personal note to Roger, you, and your costumer service simply STINKS.

Twice now they have applied my payments to someplace other than my account. Last time after being on phone they found 2k of payments apllied wrongly. Now they are doing it again. Waited 2 hours in morning on hold then gave up. Called back at 4 after 2 hours on hold they hung up.

the worse company i ever worked with

the worse company i ever worked with, i got some one from rogers knocked my door and pushed me to buy and was giving me better deal than my existing deal and numbers look better than what i had and after a month i got a big bill of 664 dollars for 3 lines, i called their customer service and after waiting for more than an hour, and they listened for a minute and told me to waiti we r talking to our manager to resolve the issue and it took me another hour and finally they transfered me to another person from rogers, and after listening to me, she said we will give u a call in 24 hours, after waiting for more than 2 hours they said we will give u a call and when i said waited for 2 hours, she said i cant do anything except u will get a call in 24 hours. poor customer service and i,m totally disapointed for their customer sevice and work ethics.and one more thing she said i,m not going to listen to me as i,m disrepecting her, i said just listen to the whole conversation for the past 2 hours if i used any disrespecting language or any abusive language. i,m just asking for the misreprestation and lies ur agents are telling people. i,m so pissed off and very unprofessional behaviour
