Now Worksop Leisure / Couplands Group
Now Worksop Leisure / Couplands Group.
We had agreed a p/x on a new Swift Challenger Grande se 635 when we had a phone call from Administrators advising us of the demise of Robinsons Group.
Following a recommendation from one of the technicians at Chesterfield, we approached the newly badged Worksop Leisure.
Andy, (sales), agreed a deal and a handover date.
Down to Earth good old fashioned customer service from start to finish.
When we arrived to pick up our new van, the Valeting team were hard at work, immaculate job, thankyou.
Wayne carried out a detailed and thorough handover and Andy finalised all the sales paperwork with an explanation of after sales service and warranty criteria.
Emily (always smiling) sorted us a few extras from the shop and we were good to go.
A fresh new Business up and running, at Worksop, we would not hesitate to recommend Worksop / Coupland Caravans.
Thanks
Andrew & Julie
Best avoided
Best avoided. Bought a 2 year old caravan, a week later received a text to say it was due for a service!
After sales service non existant. Hopeless trying to get faults fixed under guarantee.
Had a great experience buying our Swift…
Had a great experience buying our Swift Challenger last year, sad to hear Chesterfield has gone into administration and Worksop has been taken over, how does this effect warranties on used caravans, hopefully the staff at Worksop will be able to help when i visit.
Caravan proved to be a heap of junk
In 2018 I purchased a used 2017 Bucaneer Commodore from Robinsons in Worksop. The van was less than 12 months old. This is supposed to be a top end luxury caravan. At the time the salesman told me it had belonged to a couple who had decided caravanning was not for them and the sales process was very good. Over the past six years it has had water ingress twice; the locker doors had to be replaced; the paint work on the door faded and it became apparent that the caravan had accident damage which had been poorly repaired and not disclosed. Every time I have had warranty work done it took months to complete with numerous phone calls and chase ups required. The ingress warranty expired in June 2023, and oddly enough in March 2024 I have found that the entire front end has very serious and extensive damp. Cracks have opened in the front panel and basically the caravan is a heap of junk, despite being looked after properly and serviced annually by Robinsons. The whole experience has been very incredibly disappointing and has now cost me thousands of pounds which I will never recover.
And as I am sure future customers will take account of - the contract of sale is with Robinsons - not the manufacturer - but they try and deflect blame elsewhere - that is the manufacturer. My advice would be avoid at all costs

Be aware!
We can’t use our c£40,000 caravan since its purchase in September 2023. Faults with roof and heating. We contacted the Group Managing Director, After Sales Manager, and Service Dept. More than 35 telephone calls plus emails and letters. My advice is unchanged, buy elsewhere after checking their after sales reviews. Anyone can sell a caravan, but you’ll really know what a company is like when things go wrong. Be careful at Robinsons Caravans Ltd (we bought at Chesterfield) as after sales care is very poor indeed. Our caravan developed faults immediately, telephone calls, emails and letters, months (4-months) of delays and threats of Court action. Very distressing. Don’t make our mistake!

We brought caravan in January 2024
We brought caravan in January 2024, collected on the 26th January, upon checking the lights ect we noticed one light wasn’t working, someone came to assess and said we needed a new one, was told this would be ordered that day and we would have it sent to us (own address) within 3 weeks, rang numerous times to be told would get a call back and never did, then went on our first weekend away to find out the microwave does not warm up, it shows lights on for working but doesn’t heat. Rang to report this as we have 12 months warranty, to be told we should have taken food with us to warm up when collecting. This is disgusting why would we carry food around and this should have been checked before selling. We have warranty for a reason and this should be being replaced. We will be looking at taking legal action as we have been sold faulty van. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
Update: 15/3/24
So you then get a reply saying someone will call you, no one ever did, we finally spoke to sales who confirmed the microwave comes under the warranty, ring and speak to aftercare and get someone else very nice, confirms order of microwave replacement and that the light has arrived, told we would get a call 14th march to arrange coming to have these fixed. No one had called and all numbers ring out or go to answer phone. Starting to think this company has closed down.
DO NOT BE FOOLED when you see replies as still doesn’t get sorted.

Professional and courteous service.
We recently purchased a new Swift 480 sunrise from Robinsons.
All through the process, from choosing caravan at the NEC show, to collection in Chesterfield, we have been impressed by the professionalism of this company.
We have to give a special mention to Carl, who took time to go through everything with regards to the caravan, as this was the first experience of towing a caravan.
He was very helpful along with Joe, ensuring the experience was memorable.
We would definitely recommend Robinsons for a professional and courteous service.

Awful After Sales Customer Care
September 2023 we purchased a £38000 caravan from Robinsons in Chesterfield. The sales staff were good & our handover was handled professionally. We stayed overnight at a nearby caravan site, and immediately noticed the towel radiator leaking fluid. We returned the next day to the dealership, and they unsuccessfully attempted to repair the fault. A part was ordered but never materialised and after a 3 month wait we had a roof leak, which flooded the caravan. We contacted Robinsons Caravans requesting both issues be resolved, but after 35+ calls, including emails, and recorded delivery letters to The After Sales Manager we have been ignored. We then contacted The Group Managing Director on the 8th Feb 2024 who responded immediately telling us it all would be resolved. Since that email and promises to repair our caravan, The After Sales Manager and The Group Managing Director have not responded to our further enquires and are worryingly ignoring our requests for help. The customer care has been shockingly negligent, leaving us with a caravan that we have been unable to utilise. We have never experienced this poor level of after sales customer care. It has caused stress and worry that is impacting on my partners health now.

I've had two caravans off Robinson,s first was OK after a year I decided to change had a few problems with the first one had to take it back never a offer of any compensation for costs I should of learned my lesson the first time, on the second trade in on brand new caravans I was told at the time it would take a few months a few weeks later I got a phone call from Robinson caravan worksop said they have one in a customer couldn't take it at the moment unbeknown to me we did the deal and my brand new caravan spent more time at worksop been repaired on my bailey pegasus grande bologna se March 2021 ,releasing the reason this caravan came available because the customer who was supposed to get must of noticed the faults tyre's were two years older than the caravan and the very worse things were the Finnishing touches from bailey Bristol the manufacturing of this caravan was shocking no quality control, always check your tyre's and after you've looked inside get a step ladder have a look at the roof, I did get the repairs done and the tyre's changed after two years of threatening with court, still didn't get any compensation it was all my fault for noticing all the faults

Purchased a new caravan in October
Purchased a new caravan in October, the worktop was warped but we were assured it would be replaced within a few weeks. My call log shows nearly 30 phone call to the with only 9 callbacks.. Always promising to ring back, always saying it will be sorted soon... Never happens. It's now nearly February. They bought me a new worktop to be fitted a few days before Xmas... It was worse than the original. We've ended up sending a letter with consumer rights on it asking for our money back if it not mended at the beginning of Feb 24...still no correspondence.
I can't seem to respond to there response below...
But the letter was hand delivered to the manager ( Sarah) in the aftersales/ service department last Friday 19th Jan 24.
We would appreciate the response you state below.. Thankyou.

Exellent Service
Well from start to finish excellent service. All staff very helpful and curtsies. Stewart from the sales helped greatly through out, The young lady in the office made us Tea and coffee as we sat down. Great as we had a 2 hour drive. Nothing was too much trouble.
On day of pickup Alan then went through all the components and how every thing worked. All I can say is great service and well done to the team who we dealt with. Well done everyone

Swift Corniche 664 Motorhome purchase
We visited the NEC Caravan and Motorhome Show in October and approached Brian about a second hand Motorhome advertised online at their Chesterfield Branch. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and made all necessary arrangements for us to view the following day. At Chesterfield we were made very welcome and taken care of by Carl and Claire. We purchased our Swift Corniche which was exactly as described and just what we were looking for and in excellent condition. On collection December 11th the few minor things we had picked up had been addressed and the cleaning and preparation of the Motorhome was exactly as promised. Brian, Carl and Claire had done themselves and your company proud and provided us with excellent service for which we are very grateful. The “family firm” feeling put our minds at rest and we would definitely recommend to others. Thank you all for our good experience with your company. Julie and Paul Griffin

Back in December I wrote a review about our treatment by Robinsons caravans regarding our purchase of a brand new coachman lusso! There reply to this was that they’d be in touch and our case would forwarded to management. All I can say is I’m so glad I didn’t hold my breath, nearly a month later still no contact! What a joke they are as a company. We are now in discussions with trading standards to resolve this matter. Robinsons were happy to take our money but make no effort to resolve and remedy the faults the caravan has. What should of been a joyful and exciting purchase has now turned into a nightmare. Please save yourself the stress and purchase from elsewhere.
