Excellent communication

I used Right Moving to move my stuff from UK to Italy. The first part of the moving with the paperwork and admin stuff was good without issues.

During the preparation they promised:

1) Two days delivery
2) Two porters to load and download
3) GPS to check where the VAN was at any time

Unfortunately all the above was far from true.

1) The Van took 3 days to arrive but for us was fine, not a big deal

2) On the day of the pick up, showed up two porters (as promised) but on the same day we discovered that the driver/porter who loaded our stuff would have drove and reached Italy alone without the extra porter. Was not easy to communicate with him because he did not speak any English, so with the help of the other porter we understood that he wanted to reach Italy alone because he would have earned more money.
I raised my concerns with the English speaker porter because a) I paid for the service of two porters and b) arriving in Italy alone he had to be helped to download the sofa and other eavy stuff from the van.
So after my request the English porter called the office to double check and I was reassured that would have been two porters arriving in Italy.

Also in a later follow up call from their office I was reassured once again about the two porters and I was informed (and here we arrive to the point 3) that there was no GPS on the VAN but that however they would have phoned a couple of hours in advance before arriving, so the family member waiting for them could have took some time off from work in the specific arriving time.

On monday morning approximately at 8am showed up in Italy just one porter, of course without phone call two hours earlier, and that obviously needed to be helped by the family member to download the heavy stuff. By the way the family member had also to call at his work with quite short ntice to take half day off considering the situation.

Last but not least, the sofa arrived dirty on one side (even though was not damaged) and has been quite difficult to clean.

In conclusion, the paerwork was ok and the items arrived overall in good condition but of course I paid more money for actually a service I did not receive.

If needed, surely I will not use them again.

From the Right Moving response I can see have been added other lies.
I could challenge all the points of your response but I will focus just in the most important part.

- You did NOT offer nor issued any refund, in your email after my review you just offered me money to remove the review. And this explains why you have the majority of them as "excellent".
As I said in responding to your email, a good company is a company that admits fully when they make mistakes and do not call their customers liars.

Anyway, I am not here to argue, I just shared my personal experience.

We had a very tricky move to France as access was not the best. Mario and his team were so helpful with every part of our move, including Customs, which took away the majority of the stress involved. We did the move in one hit with three Luton vans all perfectly packed then unloaded by the team. I would thoroughly recommend Right Moving, from beginning to end, professional, courteous and the best price imaginable. Thankyou so much team, you were a prayer answered.

I would like to thank Mario and Martin for organising the whole move. It was smooth and it happened within the time frame that was promised. I would like to thank Tony and Artur for carrying my belongings in a safely manner and without damaging anything. I would also like to thank Mateus for driving it safely to Portugal. All elements showed professionalism and high standards of work. Highly recommend them.

We used Right Moving to move from the UK to France. The service from the entire Right Moving team was excellent. Mario and Martin took care of all the planning and customs declarations, and were responsive to all my enquiries, and on the day Tony and the driver were hardworking, friendly, polite and a pleasure to deal with. Would recommend without hesitation.

Mario and his team have been brilliant throughout. We moved from the UK to Spain and they helped with all the paperwork, packing and made the move seamless and stress-free. Can't recommend them highly enough. Tony and his great packing deserves a special mention. Everything arrived in perfect condition and the whole team went that extra mile. Thank you!

Very good service. The drivers worked very hard and they put all their effort to put our stuff where we asked. Our double fridge was a real challenge. They put extra protection on the furniture. A monitor was scratched and it was not going to be cover by the insurance, but they refunded us the cost in 15 minutes. Happy customer.

Excellent service and communication. Mario sorted out any questions and problems regarding customs very quickly. The pick up time was as agreed and communication throughout the journey down to Spain. Would strongly recommend.

Moving house is a stressful time and even more so to another country. Right Moving handled everything in a very professional way. The staff were helpful, polite and experienced. I would definitely recommend their services.

Excellent service!! I would highly recommend Right Moving to family and friends. The team were all so friendly, helpful and careful. It was incredible to watch them load and unload the van with such speed and efficiency, these guys clearly care a great deal about the service they provide. What's more the price was very reasonable, so I really couldn't have asked for more. Professionals with a cheerful smile!

My moving from UK to Spain were so well. Just one van for our moving for a good price (slightly cheaper than other companies but with even more space). The best thing I would say is how quick the answer to any doubts or problems through the email.

My husband and I chose to use RightMoving for our move to Switzerland because they were able to offer us our own van rather than part-load and this way we'd get our stuff in two days rather than 5-18 that most companies were offering. The price was better than other offers as well so even though RightMoving was a new company and we knew we were taking a risk booking with them, we felt that on balance it was worth it to know the date when our things would arrive.

Mario and Aga were very responsive throughout the process and got everything booked in and arranged easily.

On the moving date in the UK the driver and the helper were on time and Artur who came to help was very helpful and very nice. Unfortunately the driver was from an agency (because of the lockdown rules in the UK) and perhaps didn't know he was supposed to help with on-loading and off-loading so he stayed in the car. My husband was very happy to help though so the driver got on without any issues. We received regular updates from Mario and everything went smoothly until the van got to the Swiss border. The Swiss customs officer decided to make things very difficult and caused a delay of about 8 hours and we ended up having to pay VAT on our old stuff just to speed up the process (this was not RightMoving's fault as we had all the required paperwork, the customs officer just decided he didn't believe I was moving to Switzerland for work even though I had a letter from my job saying I had been offered a job).

By the time the van got to our new apartment in Switzerland the person who Mario had arranged to come and help had left and Mario wasn't able to arrange anyone at such short notice which was completely understandable. Due to the driver's heart condition he wasn't able to help moving our stuff up the stairs into our flat so I ended up having to carry almost everything myself (my husband hadn't arrived in Switzerland yet). I couldn't get the heaviest things so the next morning the driver, one of our neighbours, and my rental agent helped me move the rest of the stuff up the stairs. Mario had found someone to help but we had moved everything in by about 9am so didn't end up needing them at the end. Because the company promised two men at both collection and delivery, Mario very quickly repaid us what he would have paid for people to help with carrying the stuff.

On balance I'm very happy with the service. I always felt like Mario was there to help at any point I needed and I know he worked incredibly hard to sort everything out even with all the problems which were outside of his control. The only reason I gave four instead of five stars was because I felt RightMoving should have vetted the driver more thoroughly even if he came from an agency and I'm sure they will after the experience.

I would definitely use RightMoving again in the future.
