Richardsons Cycles has long been a favourite shop but their treatment of me went beyond what I could have hoped for. When I arrived at their Huntingdon store, clearly frazzled having pushed my punctured bike for two miles to their door, I barely had the energy to ask for the kit to mend it. The service I got was friendly, generous and left me feeling so much better about the world as I cycled away.

Excellent service in the Peterborough store, made adjustments on the spot and recommended equipment to follow. Thank you!

Easy to order off their website but communication was poor, I made an order on Saturday for next day delivery knowing that on Monday my order would be dispatched, I received a confirmation email about my order but didn't receive anything about my order being dispatched for delivery. I emailed Richardson to chase up my order and they said they would look into it but didn't hear anything back otherwise. My order was delivered safely by Evri but it would've been nice to have had dispatch details and my details being passed along to the courier to have been able to wait in for the parcel.

We took our son's bike in with a puncture, they not only solved that issue but also oiled the chain and sorted out his rear brakes. They are always so friendly and helpful, no matter how big or small the job. We'll always go back to them as their service is excellent.

Left my gravel bike to have hydraulic brakes serviced, new crankset fitted plus new chain. Simon was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. Worked completed promptly at a fair price. Cannot recommend highly enough. Will definitely use them again.

A year ago they did a great job of fixing my hydraulic brakes. This year they fixed my gear set. They were very honest about whether it would be worth doing and did a really good job. Also very helpful when I was looking for bike parts for my son.

Arranged next day delivery of two new bikes, that were as expected and as described. One minor part was missing from one bike, which was put in the post same day for following day delivery. Customer service throughout has been friendly and efficient.

Popped in to the Corby Branch , my bike was slipping gears , bike was ready the next day , all i can say is the gears have never been smoother ever , better than when i bought the bike. Fantastic customer service , great price and friendly team. Many thanks !!

sent a different item to the one ordered, described as "new" but had been already opened and had parts missing. seller took weeks to respond, then spouted some twaddle about the item being "universal". seller refused to pay for return postage. order no. 13474.

My son took his electric bike in with a tyre issue which admittedly the guy fixed after moaning that he didn’t want to do the repair as he had too many bikes in. My son picked it up today as after a phone call my husband made yesterday he was working on it even though he said there were 30 bikes in front of his.. didn’t make sense. My son collected it today and it wouldn’t turn on so I phoned and was met with an aggressive mannered man telling me that the bike had left the shop working. I can honestly say I’ve never been spoken to by such an arrogant person in all my life. First offering my money back when I’d never even asked for any money back then in a second changing to I’ve done the job and it’s not my responsibility as it’s now left the shop. I wouldn’t recommend this place for bike repairs to my worst enemy. Very aggressive, angry man who when confronted said it’s his shop and he could basically speak to me however he wanted. Well I suggest speak to your customers in a better way as if not you’ll have no customers

I brought the bike in and asked them to change the gear cable. They agreed but said their system was down so to just bring it in on Saturday.

I leave the bike with them Saturday afternoon along with my contact details.they were aware I’d be waiting for the job to complete.

When I return they suddenly say they couldn’t do it. They could’ve at least called to avoid a waste of an afternoon.

Also, what sort of bike shop can’t change a basic cable? Just go somewhere else and avoid these jokers

I had an issue with my bike gears slipping badly just outside Kings Lynn whilst doing the Rebellion Way. I called up Richardsons from our stop over and was told to drop the bike off at 9 am the next morning. There were 7 of us and he let us leave the bikes in the shop whilst we got some breakfast. An hour later we came back, the bike was fixed and I can honestly say it has never ridden better. Without him the rest of the ride would have been awful and I can’t thank the owner enough (I didn’t get his name) for fitting me in so quickly and turning around the repair with the least disruption to our multi day ride possible. Anyway I would highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of a really excellent and friendly bike mechanic and if he was closer to home would certainly now be my go to place for any work I needed doing.

Just brought home two Raleigh electric bikes from Richardsons Cycles in St Ives. Kevin was really informative he explained everything clearly to us. He helped and made sure we had them safely on the back of our van. It’s nice to deal with an independent shop rather than online. He had lots of knowledge and advice to help us. Thank you Kevin great job

Richardsons Huntingdon - my front derailleur was mis-aligned. Repaired/re-adjusted by Richardsons, now working better than new - at a great price.
