We gave you one star for this product because you sold us rejects. The long strap which should be around the waist is around the thigh and the one around the thigh is the long strap that should be around the waist. Your product will not be recommended by us to anyone ever.

If everything is intact, please note that the design is intentional — the lower strap is made longer to better secure the thigh area. The correct way to use it is(as mentioned in the instructions):
Upper waist strap: wrap once around the waist
Lower thigh strap: wrap twice around the thigh
If you feel the upper waist strap is still not long enough for comfort, we can offer you two solutions:
1.A full refund
2.A $10 refund so you can purchase an extension strap from Amazon, which will not affect subsequent use

Straps can get hung up on each other and sometimes slip off the pad once it is on the knee.

What makes this company great is their customer service and product warrantee.
I had a problem with the item I ordered. Although, I no longer had the original packaging, they refunded the full amount of my purchase.

Perfect Design for Comfort & Effectiveness
A dear relative has rheumatoid arthritis that causes significant pain and discomfort in her shoulder. Her rheumatologist shared that she should ice the affected shoulder - especially at night when she was experiencing pain. The issue: to comfortably ice the shoulder at night prior to bed, my relative was placing a flat ice pack on her bed and then laying on it with her affected shoulder in a position which I expect caused more pain than the ice pack may have relieved.
