Products ARE too good to be true.
Republic Bricks is a blatantly fraudulent company. They sell mystery boxes that are worth x amount of dollars in “retail value.” Now unfortunately, many of the products on republic bricks are listed as far more than they’re worth, and then permanently discounted on the website. As such, if you purchase a mystery box worth $200 retail value, you’re extremely likely to get sets that are discounted down to $50, $70, etc. So you’ll often get your moneys worth, but it’s misrepresentation at best.
Then comes the issue with duplicates… these mystery boxes are an attempt to get rid of unwanted inventory, so even though the website lists 30-50 different sets you might get from a mystery box, you’re pretty likely to get duplicates, which is what happened to me. republic bricks lists that you may put in the order notes or email if you have already received one of their products in an effort to not get duplicates, but they don’t even honor this. On two occasions, I emailed them asking not to get a certain set, and yet i got that same set. Put simply, the mystery boxes on the website are a complete waste of your money, especially if you buy multiple in the same order. I was stupid enough to buy 3 of the same mystery box in the same order, only to receive 3 of the same product that I had gotten in an earlier order, regardless of the fact that I had mentioned this and asked not to receive duplicates in an email.
Additionally, the customer service is utter garbage. Every single order I’ve placed has had issues, and every single response I’ve gotten from them has been an excuse sidestepping the issue. They are not scammers because you ARE getting the product, but all of their mystery boxes are misrepresentations and a waste of your money. If you have the money to buy their sets for what they cost outside the mystery box, I suppose it’s not so bad, but the mystery boxes are a COMPLETE WASTE OF YOUR MONEY and all 5 of the people that work there are extremely evasive and unhelpful. Several of the emails I have sent them have been unanswered and questions have been directly avoided. though they said I could email about duplicates, they then went back on their word in a later email, only to then contradict themselves AGAIN two emails later.
finally, the website lists certain ship dates that your products will supposedly ship on, but every single order is late. I bought products with same day shipping, one that would ship May 22nd, and 3 that would ship June 1st. However, the same day shipping products weren’t shipped until almost 2 weeks later, the may 22nd order didn’t go out till June, and the June 1st orders were shipped 10 days late, so pretty much all information on their website is a misrepresentation. so I would avoid this company at all costs.
I will never be buying from republic bricks again. I will be contacting American express, who generally refund products that have been misrepresented. Lucky me, I saved the emails :)
The mistery box is a scam
The mistery box i bought was an absolute scam it had a guaranteed value of 100$+ but in the end i got minispeeder set they sell for 45$
Terrible company
Awful company they dont send orders for months and dont let you cancel orders. Customer service is super rude. Company is run by a fratboy drop out whos daddy pays his bills...
Awful experience
First purchase and contacted seller to cancel twice before shipping. Second time I got no response. Customer service is very terrible. They wouldn’t let me return my order either. Very rude responses from customer service.
Legit website, scam products
I don’t know why I always expect a different experience when I buy from RepublicBricks, every single purchase has been a disappointment. The blind bags? He gives you the absolute cheapest possible minifigure while charging more than twice the price. The mystery box sets? Same story. The absolute cheapest possible set that you could get. I ordered two mystery boxes at the same time and received two of the exact same set, same color scheme and everything. $75 each for the boxes and I received two sets that he sells for $50 each. I just ordered 11 blind bags of real figures, not his terrible customs, and I received ELEVEN of the same figure. Website stated that it could be any Star Wars figure ever made by Lego, and they were all 11 the exact same basic 501st Clone trooper from the new 501st battle pack that sell for two dollars each on bricklink. Beyond infuriated, and every single “reviewer” online is sent the best of what he has to offer to make it seem like it’s a good idea to buy from republic bricks.
Their designs are average at best
Their designs are average at best. Ive had issues with every single one of their products. Stay away from them
Terrible customer service, full of lies
Terrible costumer service, sets constantly missing pieces. Refuses to reply to emails or any form of communication when anything goes wrong. Promises to make things right and only makes it worse in the end. Would never recommend anyone do business with them.
Easy way to lose your money
I ordered 2 $70 mystery boxes and got 2 valentines day minifigures "worth" $75. I also got a free $100 mystery box promo and it came with an at-rt.
If no one would buy these items from me, these figs are worthless.
It’s so fake!!
It’s so fake!!! I bought a “deluxe” mystery box and I got a speeder bike?! Don’t buy from this scammer.
Mystery Boxes are a Scam - steer clear
Mystery Boxes are a scam. I knew I wasn't gonna get anything spectacular, but the items were guaranteed $70 value, and I only go like a $30. It was technically $70, but it is permanently on sale. Also the other ones were a scam too. Did not receive the "guanteed" value at all. Worst business ever and a huge scam. Just cause he's friends with M&R doesn't make him trustworthy at all. Steer clear.
RepublicBricks is a scam
Do not buy from RepublicBricks! I placed an order on Nov 7th. One of his mystery boxes plus one other item. On Nov 16th I was sent a tracking number for my order. This tracking number said a label had been printed but the package had not yet been given to the shipper. I contacted RepublicBricks asking when the item would be shipped. I was told Dec 4th, then I was told Dec 15th. The whole time the tracking number status never changed. I requested my order be canceled and my money returned. Republic bricks answered that my order was shipping soon. I reported the case to PayPal requesting my money back. After weeks of investigation by PayPal my order still was not shipped and paypal ruled in my favor to return my money. RepublicBricks comes accross as arrogant in their replies and seems to have no qualms about stringing its customers along.
Missing pieces
Did not get a bunch of the pieces that the set required. Worst 600$ ever spent.
