Surprisingly very convenient service

I must say it's a really convenient service and I tried a lot of delivery services in the past. I wasn't sure about the quality to be honest since the price is very competitive and the pickup and delivery is included, but I was super happy with the result. I can highly recommend this service. You guys are doing a great job!!

Very fast service

Very fast service, just what I needed!
I also ordered an additional protective tempered glass to be fitted, which had a few tiny dusticles underneath, but otherwise, everything else perfect!

Fast, efficient and they come to you!

Wow, what amazing service! Dropped my phone on Thursday night and shattered my screen. Called Repairly on Friday and they actually came to my flat to pick it up! Had my phone back completely fixed in less than two hours.

Honestly, one of the best experiences I've had with a phone repair service. Highly recommend!

These guys were great!

These guys were great, a very competitive price too. A courier picked up my iPad around 6pm yesterday afternoon (I made the booking about 5) and it’s been returned to me before midday this morning. Fully functioning and really speedy. Very impressed!

Smashed, cracked or damaged iPhone or smartphone screen? Don’t use Repairly.

Smashed, cracked or damaged iPhone or smartphone screen? Don’t use Repairly.

My iPhone screen got cracked so after going through a zillion articles on smashed iPhone screen repair in London, I decided on Repairly.
The online help and pickup was efficient. I got my phone back, mended, looked good. But after that things went badly wrong: sure, my screen was mended, cheaper than the Apple store, but I no longer had a touch I.D. that worked. And it had worked just fine pre-repair.

Several attempts at software reboot failed to solve the problem, so I then contacted Repairly who requested screen grabs of the fault note. I sent them in, my phone was approved for call-in, and they sent a courier to collect.

Later that day, I was sent an email that told me my iPhone was on its way back: it couldn’t be fixed because Touch ID didn’t work when they first mended it (?!) there were missing screws from a previous repair and also there was water damage.

So, in short, all these problems were apparently issues when Repairly had originally fixed my phone but they had failed to share them with me (I wasn’t aware of any of these things, except I had had a previous repair, but didn’t know it had resulted in missing screws.) Anyway, these “issues” were now being used to create a reason for not helping my phone get mended.

I contacted customer service an learned that there is a clause in the Repairly terms that states they take no responsibility for phones that have been water damaged. (I wasn’t aware I had water damage, in fact it could have even happened in transit*. ) I asked: why had Repairly felt it was OK to mend it and take payment the first time, but then deliver this as a reason for not repairing the broken touch ID the second time. Besides, touch ID was working when I first sent it in - if it hadn’t been working then, why didn’t the team tell me?

I was then sent the below clause that exists in their Ts and Cs (one I didn’t notice when I ordered). It’s this clause that I would advise future customers to be mindful of when dealing with Repairly - because it seems to completely absolve them of any responsibility if they damage your phone:

2.8 Please be aware that in rare occasions repairs can enhance pre-existing damage on components not directly associated with the component being repaired. Although unlikely, repairing one part of a Device can set off further damage in another part of the Device, which in some cases can be serious and irreparable. Repairly takes no responsibility for such damage.

So - here I am. With a phone that is in a worse state than when I started, albeit without a cracked screen. I’m now out of pocket having to get a touch ID mended.

Repairly’s customer service front line - though sometimes slow to respond - seems efficient and friendly. But what’s happening behind the scenes doesn’t seem to be customer-focused - and as a result this was a bad, bad experience that took over two weeks of trying to fix. In the end, Repairly offered me £20 compensation and no refund on my initial repair.

So, my advice to new customers is to seriously consider Repairly before they proceed. Despite the positive reviews in the broadsheets and decent start-up partners, they are not necessarily much better than your average phone shop. And they cost 30% more.

*Repairly’s couriers don’t carry a box or wallet to put your phone in. They put it in their pocket. (Also you don’t sign anything when you hand your phone over which is a bit unnerving. In fact on the second return drop, the courier called me and asked me what my phone looked like as he’d got some mixed up.)

Unfortunately frustrating

My experience was entirely frustrating, with my phone having to be sent to Repairly 4 times before the issues were resolved. Twice they failed to source the correct parts for the repair, and their third attempt caused a new fault which rendered the phone unusable - hence sending it back for a re-repair.

It would have been a one star review had it not been for their Customer Service which was always responsive and generally helpful, but overall I wouldn't recommend this service, it was a real hassle and I won't be going back.

Easy, quick and professional.

Easy, quick and professional. Was a little nervous about handing my phone over with the passcode disabled (so they can test after fixing my cracked screen), but they were quick (picked up at 9:30am, dropped off early afternoon) and really friendly too. Definitely recommend.

Unnecessary faff and outrageously high quote

My phone wasn't charging. The courier picked up my phone and my charger and I left for work - upon leaving work, I received an email from Repairly saying that the problem was more complicated than they had thought and would cost £237, and asking me to confirm the cost. I wasn't able to pay this amount so asked them just to return my phone, and they charged me £30 to do this. I gave them specific instructions to return the phone after a certain hour in the afternoon as my housemate would need to collect the phone on my behalf while I was away with work. Upon leaving work the next day, I received an email that had been sent in the morning saying that the driver was outside, and another saying that he had left. I reminded them that I had said specifically to come in the afternoon, and they apologised and offered to drop the phone back off that evening - but I wasn't in so arranged for them to drop it off at my workplace the next morning instead. Again, I left specific instructions for the driver to come in the (unlocked) front door, as I would be busy taking a class and unable to wait outside. When the driver finally arrived, he was very angry and rude to me in front of my clients, saying that he had been waiting outside for a very long time and asking me why I didn't come outside. He returned my phone but no charger! When I returned from work, I received an email from Repairly letting me know that the driver was outside waiting for me. I let them know that he had returned the phone but no charger, and that he had been very rude. They returned the charger to my home that evening, but obviously I still had my original problem of a broken phone! I went to a walk-in centre down the road and my phone was fixed within two hours for £70. Wish I'd gone there immediately, so I wouldn't have been without a phone for almost three days.

Excellent treatment of the LG Nexus 5 repair

Excellent treatment of the repair with Reparily. They come to pickup the LG Nexus 5 with a Stuart courier this afternoon I ordered a diagnostic. They fix it a first time by replacing the battery and return it the same day ! Incredible. I only pay for the battery repair and not the diagnostic. Unfortunately, the phone stopped the next day and I asked to be investigated under the warranty. They send another courier and investigate it for 3 days but return it me back because it couldn't be fixed. They refund me the battery change but at least they tried. Thank you guys

Thank you so much

Extremely pleased with this service. After my phone got broken (cracked screen), in a matter of minutes it was collected, then fixed and couriered back to me at the office. It was painless and fast, and the communications were great end-to-end. Would definitely recommend to anyone

Get what they’re trying to do, but underwhelming execution.

Best I can say is they’re very efficient at collecting and delivering back phones. Other than that:
- they have a number of options for booking times that aren’t actually available. Twice I have booked for them to contact me later and tell me I have to rebook.
- they couldn’t fix my phone, offer me any kind of report, information, or any indication at all that they’d even looked at it. Just brought it back and charged me £30.
- they charged me twice, and I had to point it out and exchange a few emails to get one payment back (although in the end they did it willingly).
- site is buggy, offering a new battery for £0.00 with your order (but it turned out to be £30-40)

Hey Bruno!

Thanks for the feedback, we do pride ourselves in phone collecting/dropping off efficiency :)

Yep, this is our bad, all sorted now but we did have slots over the Xmas period that were not supposed to be bookable :)

- they couldn’t fix my phone, offer me any kind of report, information, or any indication at all that they’d even looked at it. Just brought it back and charged me £30.

Yep, unfortunately our engineers were not able to determine a great deal about the issue with your device, apologies for that!

- they charged me twice, and I had to point it out and exchange a few emails to get one payment back (although in the end they did it willingly).

Yep, we got this refunded pretty fast thanks Bruno :)

- site is buggy, offering a new battery for £0.00 with your order (but it turned out to be £30-40)

Again, our bad, all sorted now!

All in all, thanks for the valuable feedback, it has improved the Repairly Experience for others and hopefully yourself Bruno if/when you come back to trust us with your device again :)

Have a wonderful day.
