Dark pattern to get paid first month
[UPDATE] I received a refund. Appreciate the correction. Would still recommend sending that reminder email. Thank you 🙏🏼
Tried Rentola using their 7 day period. Unfortunately, couldn’t find it too useful. To top it up, they use the dark pattern of not reminding before starting your 39€ subscription. I now have a subscription I have no use for. They refuse to refund me. In the conversations with their support, it was clear that they were dodging the dark pattern.

There is Something Unaccountable about Rentola
I am having a bad experience with Rentola. Despite many negative reviews online, I tried their service for two months. I'm sure I canceled my subscription, but then I got a letter from a debt collector saying I didn't. I checked my e-mails and indeed I did not receive cancellation confirmation. This issue seems common with them - you think you cancel, but it doesn't go through, and they send your bill to a debt collector. The debt doubled and dealing with the collectors is stressful. Be cautious with Rentola.
Edit: I notice Rentola changed their response from a constructive to a critical tone. They sent me an email confirming the removal of the outstanding balance after my review on Trustpilot, but I chose not to respond. Rentola then asked for a survey on Trustpilot. Hereby I reiterate my dissatisfaction. The main issue is their previous failure to respond to my email, which unnecessarily prolonged the matter for two months dealing with the collection agency. This is likely what prompted Rentola to modify their response.

Do not use Rentola
The subscription policy is extremely confusing, and it appears to be deliberately designed to fool and charge users. I found myself unwittingly subscribed, and it cost me 78€ for two months.
Plus, trying to get in touch with this scam company is another topic. There's no email or phone number for customer support.
I made an attempt to reach out to Rentola via email, using the address from which I initially received my password and login information. Unfortunately, I only received an automated response

Scam site
Scam site, don't trust it. After canceling the subscription within the trial period, they just kept pilling up bills and then sent them as debt to another company called Intrum. Now I have to clear that out somehow. And in the end, the site is not even doing its job since it is only directing you to other sites, you can't rent anything through Rentola.

When creating a subscription with us, it costs a lower amount in the intro period - afterwards you are charged standard price for each subscription period until you choose to cancel the subscription. This is brought to your attention when you register and it is also stated in our terms and conditions which you have to accept in order to create a subscription. When the subscription is created you also receive a confirmation email with the terms and condition clearly stated.
If you do not wish to continue the premium membership, you can cancel anytime via your account settings or by contacting customer service.
We send out 3 reminders for unpaid invoices and then we forward the invoices to our collection agency.
We've sent you an email, but regrettably, no response has been received. Feel free to respond to our email if you require any assistance.

Edit: The situation was positively solved with Rentola via e-mail, after my complaint.

I created an account on this website, went for the 14-day trial at 1 euro, and canceled the subscription immediately one day after. In the account info it says that the subscription was canceled on the 7th of October, however it says that the subscription ends on the end of the month.
Today I received an e-mail saying that I have an invoice for 39 euros, something that was never expected, and I'm being threatened with a debt collector agency and with having to pay an extra fee of 40 euros if I refuse to pay. I have never signed up for this type of extension or scam service. It's worth mentioning that the website is complete trash honestly not even worth that 1 euro trial. I clearly didn't want to extend the subscription after the trial as it is very clear with my cancellation but these scammers still think it is okay to come, charge you 39 euros and try to threaten you.
Either they answer to my e-mail and solve this issue or this issue can be peacefully solved in court. Tired of these people who think they can just take advantage of everyone.

I was scammed out of my trial money
They claim that, if you register, you can contact the landlord... but the only thing they offer is a link to Pararius (which is where I was coming from anyway! Yes, they advertise on Pararius and send you back there AFTER you paid the rentola fee).
Trial only costs one euro - one euro I spent very poorly. Oh, and obviously, you can't cancel immediately. You need to wait for 24 hours. What a surprise! They know that their shady business model pisses people off, then they try to make people forget about it by including a forced wait time before canceling.
Guess what? I put SO MANY reminders on my calendar to cancel this scam trial that for sure I won't forget about it. You won't have any more of my money, you gang of scammers.
EDIT: I was contacted by the customer service who PRETENDED to not find my subscription (they said there is no active subscription - of course, I canceled a week ago - just look in the expired ones)

Due to me overlooking something that was stated in the terms and conditions I was rightfully charged 39€ after deleting my account, which, however, could not be withdrawn because of my poor financial situation. Explaining this to the very friendly Ron, I was immediately helped and met with sympathy and understanding ultimately relieving me of the 39€ charge.
