Reinforced Beds are a family run, online only retailer specialising in very strong beds and durable mattresses based in the UK. Our collection consists of heavy-duty frames constructed from the strongest materials. The range include wooden bed frames, metal bed frames, upholstered beds (including bedsteads, ottomans and divans) and bunk beds.
Our stock is suitable for both domestic and contract customers. We have supplied products to many different environments, such as large hotel chains, student accommodation refits and to the NHS direct to name a few.
Due to the build quality of our products, we have a wide selection suitable for people who are overweight and/or suffer from challenging behaviour. These products have been sourced and designed with the aim to be the solution for customers who require them most.
As well as an online retailer, we take great care in our products. As well as sourcing reliable and fantastic manufacturers to create our beds, we also manufacture select metal beds on site here in Norfolk! We also import some products directly to us, built to our own spec from overseas.

A sturdy triple bunk: a quality product
We ordered the Langham triple bunk bed in oak. From order to delivery was fast and we were kept informed throughout. The delivery company (AIT) was less good (poor communication and a lack of care to avoid damaging the packages), but maybe that is not Reinforced Bed's fault.
You are strongly advised to check everything is there before starting the construction process. We laid out everything and made sure ALL of the nuts, bolts, dowels and screws were there. This is essential. Build instructions are provided but are less than clear. It took us a full day to complete construction: our advice is to start in the morning when the brain cells are at their best. The pictorial instructions are less than good, so care at each step is recommended. Positioning and orientation of corner posts is 'tricky', so take time to think through how things bolt together: there are lots of holes that need to be aligned and bolts to be inserted. The bed(s) are heavy, which is good......once the bed is built, not so much as you install the single bed on top of the double bed.
Overall, very pleased with the product.
We are available to construct this bed for others.....we would be much faster than the 8 hours we took with our bed.....and our charge would be very reasonable......

Bed ordered and delivered on time it was put in the room I asked for driver was very helpful.
Bed was well made and easy to put together much easier than other beds I have assembled only took 45 minutes.

We would like to clarify that we have already offered to send replacement parts and are currently awaiting a response to our email sent on 1st June. To process the claim with the manufacturer and help prevent similar issues in the future, we simply require photographs of the damaged components for our records. As soon as we receive these images, we will be able to progress the replacement request.

Rusty parts disintegrated whilst assembling!

Original bed literally fell apart whilst under assembly (reinforced it was not). Customer service was impeccable but really disconcerting that they didn't seem alarmed about it.
Replacement bed was assembled. So far it's rock solid and appears up to the name. Guess we will find out in 2 years time if it is.
Difficult bed to build but that's mostly due to the weight and the way everything is bolted to everything else for strength.

We would like to reassure customers that this is an exceptionally rare occurrence and not something we commonly encounter. While our team requested photographs of the affected part, this was not because the issue was considered normal. We ask for images in all cases involving damaged or faulty components so that we can accurately assess the problem, provide the correct resolution as quickly as possible, and pass the information on to the manufacturer for investigation and quality control purposes.
We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention and are pleased that we were able to arrange a replacement promptly. Feedback such as this helps us continue to maintain the high standards we expect from our products.
Aubrey Bed and Mattress
I bought my bed frame and mattress on 15th March (lead time 6-8 weeks). After 10 weeks had passed I heard nothing and decided to make contact. Apology given but no confirmation of when delivery would happen. I got in touch again at 12 weeks and still no confirmed delivery date could be given. No compensation discussion to be had. Eventually the bed and mattress arrived in week 14!!! In my opinion, this is unacceptable! I understand that things get delayed but the thing to do is to make contact with the customer to advise them of a time delay. I was seriously suspecting this to be some sort of scam! However in week 14 my bed frame and mattress arrived and what a beautiful bed it is. Was it worth all the stress and headache...Yes it was! I am super happy with it and would actually recommend to friends and family (just adding a warning to double the delivery time expectation). I think a reasonable amount of compensation should have been offered. The least they could have done was refund my 2 man, take to the room delivery charge!

Good communication
Good communication, excellent delivery as well as being on time. Excellent product so far (1 week in). All in all a very pleasing shopping experience !
A few weeks later the mattress was dipping so an exchange was authorised. It arrived today (Friday 17th July)Looks used with dirt and stains as well as ruptured stitching. Worse condition than the one that was returned. Unable to use.
18/07 I appreciate the response however the first mattress had no marks whatsoever as shown on the original photographs. I knew something was not right as soon as I began unpacking the replacement. The smell and packaging did not seem the same as the original.
I await the response.
22/07 - Third mattress arrived and all now seems well. Thank you.

We’re sorry to hear that you’re disappointed with the replacement mattress.
Following receipt of your photographs, our team carefully reviewed the images and explained that the black marks shown appeared consistent with the mattress stitching and quilting process rather than evidence of bed bugs. During manufacture, mattresses are sewn using industrial machines which create thousands of needle penetrations through multiple layers of fabric and filling. In some cases, dark stitching thread, fibres, backing material, or residue from the quilting process can be visible through these needle holes or become trapped around the stitching. This can appear as small black specks or deposits and may occasionally dislodge when the fabric is disturbed.
Bed bug evidence would typically present differently and would usually be accompanied by additional signs such as live insects, or widespread spotting. Based on the photographs provided, we could not identify any evidence of this.
To ensure your concerns are fully investigated, we have forwarded all photographs and details to the manufacturer for their assessment and advice. We are currently awaiting their response and have already discussed the possibility of a further replacement with you should the manufacturer deem this appropriate.
We would also like to clarify that the replacement mattress was supplied sealed in new packaging and has not been previously used. We do not sell used mattresses, as this would be unhygienic and contrary to our company standards.
As advised, if you remain unhappy with the replacement mattress, we can also arrange for its return and a refund in accordance with our returns process.
We appreciate your patience while we work with the manufacturer to reach a resolution.

The bed frame and mattress are…
The bed frame and mattress are excellent, and I am very happy with the quality of both products.
However, I was disappointed with the communication regarding the delayed delivery. I was expecting the delivery within eight weeks at the latest, but after waiting that long, I had to contact the company myself to find out when my order would be delivered. It was only then that I was informed about the delay. The delivery eventually arrived ten weeks and two days after the order was placed.
That said, the delivery itself was excellent, and the communication from the delivery team was clear, professional, and helpful. While the bed and mattress deserve a five-star rating and the delivery service was outstanding, more proactive communication and regular updates regarding the delay would have made the overall experience much better.

The ladder rungs are painful on your feet
The Anmer adult bunk beds we ordered look great and were easy to put together. However, the ladder rungs are small and circular and actually very hard and painful on your feet. We've asked four people to test this so far and they report the same issue. I called Reinforced Beds and they said we'd have to source some padding for the rungs as its not something they provide. This doesn't make the ladder fit for purpose so beware you'll need to wear shoes to climb into the top bunk!

Excellent except for one thing. We couldn't make the screws to secure the top bunk bed to the bottom bunk bed work. A piece of dowell wasn't adequate, so we joined them with metal joining strips, a bit unsightly.

Spent ages trying to find the perfect bed base. The black metal bed base (king size) is perfect. Excellent price point and outstanding quality. Once assembled by AIT, I was extremely happy that it worked so well with my newly purchased Harry Benmore Mattress. Would certainly recommend Reinforced Beds. I shall be purchasing a smaller one for the spare bedroom.
