Thank you
Alana is a fantastic therapist, I found her so patient, compassionate and understanding. I have learnt so much about myself. I feel like a giant jigsaw puzzle is being completed. The strategies I have gained I will now use for life.

Counselling Recommendation .When my wife left me four or more years ago, it totally destroyed me, she was my whole world, my purpose for everything I did, believed in, and lived for. My love for her was intense, she was and still is amazing, she completed me. When she left I was in total shock, I didn't see it coming, I was lonely, felt abandoned, totally gutted, and in pain, like I'd never felt before, it turned my whole world upside down. Initially I tried some NHS counselling, they rubbed me up the wrong way, so I decided counselling wasn't for me. I spent 4 years in a parallel universe, not realising or accepting what had happened, hoping, praying and kidding myself that one day soon she would come home, that day never came. I staggered through life just existing, trying to survive. Then the news that no one wants to hear came, she's moved on, and wants to make our separation permanent and official, this blew my head up, all my hopes and plans for our future were smashed. I couldn't cope, I couldn't breathe, I couldn't sleep. I found Alana Everest advertising on Facebook Marketplace. After my NHS experience, I arrived at Alana's door with a chip on my shoulder not convinced that counselling was for me, but in such a state that I was willing to give anything a try. Alana works from a room in her back garden, it's peaceful, relaxing, an oasis of calm and somewhere I felt comfortable immediately. When you are head over heels in love with someone, who doesn't have the same feelings for you, it's tough. But Alana, is a good listener and put me at ease, I felt comfortable enough to really open up to her, telling her everything about myself, and my failed marriage, warts and all. It's not an easy process, so you need to do it, not just with a professional, who knows what they're doing but someone you gel with, and for me that came easy with Alana. A good friend who pushed me down this route, who had experience of the counselling process, checked Alana's credentials for me, she not only has all the appropriate certificates and qualifications, but more importantly has the experience and passion to make it work in the real world. Anyway Alana has supported me, through my darkest despair and helped me to manoeuvre through what has been the hardest chapter of my life to date, she goes above and beyond her call of duty.
She provided the framework, which has allowed me to analyse and reflect upon everything that has happened, and via this process, I'm starting to accept and come to terms with it, and realise that to an extent I've been the architect of my own downfall. I'm a work in progress and have a long way to go, but one thing that's for sure, I'm blessed to have found Alana, she's been great, a lifeline I really trust, who is helping me to shape the more experienced, knowledgeable, wiser, calmer and better person that I am becoming thanks to her help.
Alana works from her garden in Harlow, I now drive there and parking is always easy, I used to travel by train, and the walk through the park to hers is glorious.
Alana, is very competitively priced in comparison to others in her field, her services represent great value for money.
This process of self reflection is great, even if you aren't in a mess, it gives you insight into what makes you tick.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Alana as a counsellor, she's fantastic. She always welcomes me with a cup of peppermint tea. I see Alana face to face, but if you are busy, you can WhatsApp video call with her.
