Applied and not heard anything back. I don't doubt they are good for People with poor credit history but they really do need to review new applications. If your email generated an automated response stating your finance has provisionally gone through with an amount to lend summery, question is why would you not call the applicant. I have spoken to your advisors in the past and they seem ok not great but my recent application feels like it's been lost in translation. Sorry to say it does not build confidence.

Currently in an IVA didn’t think I could stand a chance of getting credit for a new car, but just 7 days after first contacting them here I am driving around in my lovely new car. A really helpful company to allow folks with low credit scores, bad credit file aswell as members of DMPs (Debt Management Plan) to attain credit for the car of their dreams or even just a little run around.

Highly competitive rates of interest (unlike most competitors) and very generous borrowing totals.

My handler/sales agent in particular, Bethany was extremely helpful and replied swiftly to my emails and worked hard to help me find the perfect car and furthermore get the deal done.

Another fantastic perk is that aswell as the great stock of vehicles they have to choose from, they also allow you to request cars to be accepted (based on key criteria) which all the moreenhances the possibilities.

Fantastic company, fantastic service and I cannot wait to take delivery of my new car this week.

Had been denied finance due to bad credit as had been bankrupt in recent years. Now in full time employment well able to make repayments, so thought I would apply anyway as my car was on its last legs. Got call few days later asking a few questions and hey presto, picked my car same day. Could not have been a happier camper.

I have poor credit, a trust deed and been refused credit from most companies. I assumed that as I was declined finance from Arnold Clark for a newer car there would be no possiblity I would get finance elsewhere for less than 30% interest and resigned myself to looking how to finance the balloon payment on current, pcp leased car.
I googled and got Red Potato’s page about balloon payments and felt encouraged and reassured I could get the payment financed. The website was clear and, in fact, encouraged people with poor credit etc to apply and I’m so glad I did - I decided to go for new car finance instead of just the balloon payment and I’m looking at my beautiful Fiat 500 right now!
The staff I mentioned at the start were, polite, patient and made the whole process clear and easy including liaising with dealerships.
I would encourage anyone with no confidence of car finance companies to look at Red Potato - they are fantastic. ⭐️

This company is an excellent choice for anyone, whos struggling to get car finance for whatever reason. I'm in a DMP at the moment, but after few calls and details, they were able to find a lender, who could offer me finance for my new car.

I will fully admit that I was initially sceptical, being in an IVA and having spoken to many different companies who offered ‘assistance’ with car finance, and had ultimately decided on a car subscription service as the only possible way to afford replacing my car. I stumbled over Red Potato and Premium Plan and was not going to bother (it actually took a week or two to get back to them as I wanted to do some research and missed their reply to my enquiry).

I am so unbelievably glad I did get back to them. I had spoken to a large national dealership and been offered 48.9% APR - basically borrowing £7k and paying back £15k, but Red Potato/Premium Plan offered less than 24% APR so offered me to borrow 8k and repay around 13k - a MUCH better deal and no deposit and, well, seemed even a bit more like a scam at that point as sounded too good. So more procrastination and research! I finalised the application and was assured by talking to a couple of dealers who had used them before and having not actually been asked for any bank details yet.

My IVA company approved and I was free to choose my dealer as long as they and the car met conditions from Red Potato/Premium Plan. Beth at Red Potato spent two Monday’s in a row dealing with walking in to work and my flurry of emails with options for cars - unbelievably I had 5 cars booked to be seen and each one sold half an hour or so before I left to go and see it, so she was very patient and left me alone to choose my car. I went with a national dealer for my own peace of mind and Beth walked in to my email on Monday morning saying I had reserved a car!! The car finance was sorted out and paid by Wednesday - not as quick as some providers but given the paperwork was signed on Monday and dealer only contacted on Monday, this was good going for a bank transfer etc to be set in place, the only hold up was the dealer providing bank details etc. I collected the car on the Friday and love it. I paid no deposit, part exchanged my old car and am in love with my new one.

A huge thank you to Sarah at Premium Plan, Beth at Red Potato for sorting this out and honestly being above and beyond - this company honestly has a great APR rate for those in an IVA with affordability. I have 2 friends in an IVA also looking to change their finance provider and recommended Red Potato straight away.

Some notes on the process for those wondering who are in an IVA:
You need to provide income and expenditure (I sent a copy of mine from my IVA company), along with IVA company agreement - Premium Plan will put details in writing for you.
You will need to speak to someone over the phone from Premium Plan to verify everything, application response from Underwriters was received next business day for me.
Once Red Potato then confirm, you can go and find a car through any registered dealer that fits their criteria.
When you find a car, send details to Red Potato who carry out their own evaluation to ensure you are not getting ripped off (I like this aspect as its a double check of car value)
Once you want to go ahead on that car, Premium Plan get in touch to sort out the finance agreement, and confirm once you have agreed everything. They let you set direct debit date etc.
Red Potato then initiate bank transfer (they do need bank details to be on a bank paying in slip or similar - assume for money laundering checks etc?)
Once approved, payment is sent same day and dealer just needs to confirm receipt of payment so you can collect car.

So not a typical finance process but easy enough and not too difficult. From finding a car to picking it up was 5 days for me, but that is because I was through a national dealer branch and with head office accountants needing to be involved to sort everything for the branch to confirm finance it became quite an admin chain. The car also had to be prepared and the sales rep had days off so it could have been 2-3 days if these things were not there!

Bad credit due to bad previous experiences Inc insolvency or bankruptcy etc? I have been looking for months for a company that will trust me and lend to me.
Red potato gave me this golden opportunity which now has given me the chance to prove myself with lending. Red potato were so helpful, they don't just look at your credit file, they also look at your personal income and expenditure and decide whether you can afford afford it. It was this method that finally gave me the chance with car finance, and I will be forever grateful for their efforts! Top team even through the covid19 pandemic!
