I love the automated grocery list. For me, that’s worth the cost of the yearly plan alone. I gave it 3 stars because I don’t love a lot of the recipes and when I import recipes from the internet, they... See more

Not what I thought it was
I never even opened the app or used the service. I misunderstood what this was and signed up thinking it was part of Whole 30 because of an endorsement and an ad. By the time I realized my error, I reached out and they refused to give me my money back because I was beyond the allotted days for return. They wouldn't even agree to a partial return. Made me sad more than anything else.

I like the meal choices
I like the meal choices. I found your plan through Wellness Mamma and that I could pay $1.00 extra for some of her recipes through Real Plans. BUT I am terribly disappointed to find out that you can't read the directions for her recipes. I realize this is probably an issue with her & her book publishers but if I knew I would need her book I would not have included her recipes when I purchased Real Plans.
I do like all of site's options but it does take a bit of time to make a one month plan. I was about 2/3rds through the month of April filled in and I was already an hour and half into it. I'm hoping the next month will go faster.

I love the recipes and being able to…
I love the recipes and being able to access them easily. I was not dedicated enough to set up meal plans, and decided to opt out. Should I become more focused on planning meals, I’ll definitely renew.

Fantastic app and delicious recipes
I love Real Plans!! It saves me SO much time planning out recipes for the week; actually, I let the app do all the heavy lifting because all of the recipes it's added to my weekly meal plans so far have been delicious and easy. Huge time saver and sanity saver.

Incredibly versatile
I am impressed with how many different dietary styles are accommodated by Real Plans. I think the common denominator is “real” food. It’s whole foods, in whatever style you choose. I myself have used the Paleo, Vegan, Classic, and GAPS styles. Real Plans is very versatile and perfect for our family. There are so many customization and automated options that it has taken me a long time to utilize them all. Basically, if you do something specific with your meal planning (like pancake Saturday mornings), there are settings to automate that. Pretty awesome. The only complaint I have is that I love to pre-plan a month’s meals at a time, but you can only do three weeks at a time, and it’s a bit difficult to do so because the app likes to reset you to the current week. Also, as I go along and want to tweak my settings, usually any tweaking requires you to erase all future planned meals, which keeps me from changing things to accommodate our schedule better. But overall, best meal planning app I’ve ever used. You can also upload and enter your own recipes or online recipes. Time consuming, but helpful for planning family favorites.

Many features of this product were helpful for meal planning and shopping. One issue I had was there were recipes that were categorized as Whole30 that turned out to not be aligned with Whole30's guidelines.

The recipes are good and easy to follow. Setting up a plan that includes leftovers is also very easy. However, I cannot print the recipes so I have to keep my phone/tablet close in order to follow the recipes. I have a binder of favorite recipes and I cannot add these recipes to the binder.

ONE WEEK COMPLETED - I AM SHOCKED!
I only have been doing this one week - I was dreading it; what if I don't like it....I picked out the eggs so to be safe...no weird meats...more safe...mostly chicken, wee bit of beef and lotsa veggies and boy - all those herbs and spices you use!!!! I am amazed!!! The best part is my daughter and her husband says - that smells good!!!! Can I try? I say, please do! They do and guess what?! They have been eating what I have been eating! One week down, three to go - so far, so good!

Mostly very good stuff
Mostly very good stuff, very well done. However, some recipes call for "shredded beef" or similar, without factoring in cook the beef. Or the recipe provides a marinade but not the meat to marinade in it (which means you have to put another recipe in place to make sure you also buy the meat.
Also, frequently, the recipe proportions are wayyyyy off. Often buy way too much food, even after I cut things in half, especially produce quantities.
There are also some recipes where things just don't work, like the raspberry scones where one egg is supposed to be used as a glaze, but the mixture at that point in the recipe is too soft to apply a glaze to.
Lastly, it can be finicky to add recipes to the plan. but generally a good tool we continue to use every week.

Very Useful Plarform!
Certainly this is a well constructed platform and very useful, especially if you need certain dietary restrictions in your recipes. I guess my only complaint is that some of the recipes are not that good, but…in their defense, all the recipes are rated, so pay attention to those!
