Rakuten cashback did not appear after 2 weeks of purchase. I’ve contacted them multiple times via the app and have not got a response yet. Initially, they said they had to wait for retailer to authorise it but the retailer have confirmed the cashback scheme is with Rakuten.

I’ve got a response from Rakuten on 06/08/2026 that an account with my email address doesn’t exist. However, they’ve been untruthful as they have paid me £1 cashback on this account last week for a different purchase.
They’ve also flagged this review for ‘ containing defamatory content.’ This is absurd as my experience with them is true and they’re now even denying that my account exists when I have full access to login to this account.
Their customer service ought to do better at avoiding resolving issues than lying or trying to make their customers out to be liars.

Now I’m happy because I received my cashback thanks

I've had to involve Trading Standards as Rakuten UK have started declining multiple legitimate cashback purchases and are not cooperating with missing or declined cashback claims for purchases.

Occassionally purchases are not tracked and I have had to bring this to their attention and it does take quite a while before any cashback is actually paid. Despite the aforementioned I stiil think it is worthwile as any cashback is welcome in my account.

Kept getting a message for cashback so decided to see what the hype was about. Using the app to get the discount was easy. First payment received and have continued to use the app to make purchases, but nothing else is recorded so dont know what has happened.
Have since received emails asking for further details. What other details can be provided, other than i click on app and link to the relevant shop to continue and make my purchase, to get cash back. Looking on my history you can see the app activated and can match purchases made ans bank activity. Yet nothing showing on my app.

Payment came on the expected date

Fantastic, just been notified that my cash back has been paid into my bank account. So simple and great to shop online using Rakuten browser extension and get paid a little back. It all mounts up and goes into a savings account towards our next holiday, it’s a no brainer
