Raiffeisen in the Czech Republic is a…
Raiffeisen in the Czech Republic is a terrible bank that I have ever dealt with. I have an account with this bank, where my salary is received. I want to transfer these funds to my account abroad. Since December (it has been four months now) I have not been able to do this due to terrible customer service and unnecessary security, as if I am dealing with the Pentagon, and not with a service that uses my money and earns from it. I am currently abroad on a business trip and cannot physically come to the bank branch, so the bank sent me an electronic key that does not work. In addition, I had to go through identification through the Czech consulate. For two months, the bank employees explained why the device did not work, and today it became known that they cannot do anything except send a new electronic key. And again go through verification through the Czech consulate, although they already have everything and it is their mistake, not mine. Never open an account with this bank if you want access to your money!!!!!
Stay away

This bank bought the bank I used. I had three loans with them, I was late with the repayment, there was money in the account to cover two installments and part of the third, but the bank spread the money so that part was missing on each loan and then charged me three late fees, They are thieves
Terrible in every way:
Terrible in every way:
- Mortgage interest rates extremely high
- You get sometimes some discriminative behavior, especially if you are NOT Czech by birth
- RB Identita is a service which is not working, every time I needed to use it to spare the logistic effort, they asked me to go to the subsidiary again

Thieves!
Thieves!! I was using my saving account card to withdraw some cash from cash machine in Ostrava shopping center. Due to no option of English menu and try to navigate blind cash machine was unable to dispose chosen amount due to no required notes in the machine and just to be clear: NO CASH WAS WITHDRAWN. Then guess what happen!! after 2 days they took 50 Euros from my account!!!!!!! this is pure robbery and im not going to leave it like this! Now i have to cancel my card due to this as god knows what they might steal again! this is ridiculous! How you can take money from someone's account just like that. AVOID of using those cash machines like fire specially if you from abroad.
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs! After a few years they still have not activated my banking nor savings to be used via app. The only way is to go to a branch.
Never never never
A friend of mine recently discovered a large loan was taken in her name without her consent. Despite reporting it to the police as identity theft, Raiffeisen is still pressuring her to sign an acknowledgment of debt agreemen and the fees and penalties are increasing. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the bank and I hope more people find out about it.
This bank is beyond saving
This bank is beyond saving. Bury it already.
The worst application, the laziest tech support, you need to pay for generating payment confirmation!
Avoid at all costs.
Kafkaesque account cancellation
Horrible experience with account cancellation. The entire process took me three months and involved several steps. I had to repeatedly contact a specific person who didn’t answer their phone and made an administrative mistake. I had to resolve this mistake through five phone calls, two data messages for complaints, and one visit to the branch. All of this was to cancel an account.
Terrible practices at this bank
I had never been a voluntary client of Raiffeisenbank - I was moved into this bank from other banks THREE times. I used to have a Citibank credit card - but Citi left the Czech market and transferred its clients to RB.cz. Then I had a GBP savings account in ZUNO bank. Again, it closed and clients moved to RB. The last time this happened was with Equa Bank. I was moved into RB for the third time. I have wanted to leave the bank for a long time because of their practices, including constant ads for mortgages, loans and insurance in their banking app. At one point I stopped sending money there and just used up what was left but I still used the multi-currency card for direct payments in EUR. However, yesterday they started blocking my EUR payments to Revolut. There is absolutely no information about it in their banking app, I do not see the declined transactions but they get declined even when I use the card directly (not through Google Pay) and authorise it via the RB mobile app. There is also no way to see how much of the weekly spending limit you have used. So I tried sending the EUR into my Revolut account as a SEPA transfer but guess what, RB.cz does not support instant EUR payments and the transfers is slow, usually two days. The money got deducted from my RB account but it has not appeared in Revolut and thus I am left without funds on both cards/accounts.
Their internet banking is extremely slow, badly designed with huge fonts and little information on one screen. At one point it also stopped working properly in Firefox.
The only thing that is still keeping me there is the credit card which I need for travelling abroad (especially in the US). However, the currency conversion rate on the card is pretty bad, you pay almost 4% more.
So in general, avoid this bank if you have any other option. I am just afraid that they will buy out yet another bank I'm a client of and I will get forced back into RB.cz
An obsolete bank with Russian ties
The were not able to implement fast Euro payments (TIPS) in 5 years. Most other banks support it for some time already. They are blocking transactions for no reason and their internetbanking is pretty bad. They keep acquiring other banks (Zuno, EquaBank) so I was forced to become their client twice!! While not specific to the Czech branch, their parent Raiffaisen International refused to leave Putin's Russia, giving me another reason to avoid them.
Raiffeisenbank Cheb- Excellent customer care.
Just been to Raiffeisenbank Cheb. What can I say. I was met with high standards. Thank you to Mr Rudolf that assisted me. This was by far one the best visits to any bank. I am a foreigner from South Africa with little knowledge of Czech language. But this was one of those visits that allows me to refer more people to Raiffeisenbank. Professional to start with, but also going the distance in telling me the bank history and taking time to make sure I understand everything. Thank you Mr Rudolf, and thank you Raiffeisenbank. Keep it up.
Rude and useless customer support and not trustworthy with money transfers
Terrible customer support, i feel like talking to a mental institution with them and they are not trustworthy with money transfers. I created international money transfer (from my existing template) on April 13, 2024. The transfer still has not arrived to the recipient bank, today is April 30, 2024. The transfer was supposed to be complete on April 15, 2024. Every time I call or come to a bank all employees behave as if I owe them something and they literally told me it is not my place to tell them how fast my request should be resolved. It is normal for them to speak so disrespectfully to customers and interrupt and never answer questions. The most common answer I got from raiffesen's employees is "I don't know". I have been sending money internationally for 9 years now on a regular basis, and the only 2 times that i have ever had any issues or delays was with Raiffesein CZ. They deducted my money on April 14, 2024 and the bank recipient never received any money or info about this transfer. Every time I speak to customer support they are rude and useless and they told me they have 14 days to review my complaint, then they said it's actually 30 days. In my opinion, it is theft. They also suggested for me to make a refund of the transfer and pay them another 500 czk to get MY money back.
Crippled app with constant maintenance, ridiculous fees
- Constant maintenance with the bank app leaves the customer stranded for 2 - 3 days in a month; seriously, guys, that is unacceptable in 2024, change your IT department or smth.
- Currency exchange in the app isn't working on weekends
- Offices operate in ridiculous hours (09.00 - 19.00). No way to get into the bank before my working day
- Ridiculous fees that keep increasing
I don't recommend this bank untill some reforms are made.
Disappointing!
Yup I now understand why there are a lot of bad reviews for the bank. I just lost a big opportunity due to how unreliable they are.
I needed a document and between online customer service and the branch itself it has taken over 3 weeks and still no result. I will never in another lifetime subscribe to this bank in this country or anywhere else.
Manager Guzel Kadyrova
Manager Guzel Kadyrova, Raiffeisenbank Kazan.
Very bad manager-consultant. She pursues only her own interests. Offers to invest where it is profitable only for her, and for me only a loss my money.
Raiffeisen Czech Republic just banned all credit card transaction with crypo exchanges
Raiffeisen Czech Republic just banned all credit card transaction with crypo exchanges portals without any advise. So you can't use your own money to buy whatever you want. this is really dangerous.
STAY AWAY from this bank !
