This business is run like a SCAM.
1. QR codes are initially promoted as free, no 7-Day trial is mentioned.
2. Once you have created a code & distributed or printed it, you are then informed you have to pay as it was only free for 7 days.
3. It appears that you can pay a monthly fee, so the price appears reasonable. However, you are then charged the full annual fee without warning, as there is NO monthly option.
4. A year later, your unwanted subscription will be renewed.
5. If you're lucky enough to learn this beforehand, you can jump through all the hoops required to cancel it.
I suggest also contacting your bank, I wouldn't be surprised if the renewal continued despite cancellation.

The one redeeming factor, they send an email informing the renewal will occur. Outlook quarantined my email (not surprising!), luckily I found it before renewal date.

Constructive feedback for the business: rather than writing a meaningless reply to this review, please adjust your business practises.
Make it clear that free trial is for 7 days.
Make it clear that subscription is annual not monthly.

Kind of a scam. You can generate a QR code for free almost anywhere, so there’s no reason to pay $11 per month just to keep a QR code working. I only found out about the subscription after creating the code and ordering printed materials. Very disappointing and misleading.

I used QR Code Creator for a project in 2025. After discovering the ongoing cost to keep my QR code active, I contacted the company and explained that I was no longer interested in using their services.

As someone who has worked in customer support, I would have expected that statement to prompt a conversation about cancelling my subscription or, at the very least, a response explaining that my subscription would continue to renew unless I took additional action. Instead, I received no guidance on cancelling my subscription, no indication that it would continue renewing, and no follow-up to clarify my options.

Nearly a year later, my subscription renewed. As soon as I became aware of the charge, I immediately contacted QR Code Creator requesting cancellation and a refund. Their responses have focused solely on the fact that the cancellation was processed after the renewal occurred. They have not meaningfully addressed my earlier communication from 2025 in which I clearly stated that I was no longer interested in continuing to use their service.

I also requested that my concerns be escalated to a supervisor or manager. To date, those requests have not been acknowledged, and I have continued receiving responses from support representatives that largely repeat the same explanation rather than addressing the concerns I have raised.

The company has confirmed that my subscription is now cancelled and that there will be no further renewals after the current billing period ends in 2027. However, that does not resolve my concern that I communicated my intention to stop using their services in 2025 and was never given any assistance or clarification regarding the steps required to prevent future renewals.

This review reflects my personal experience. If you choose to use this service, I strongly recommend keeping copies of all correspondence, confirming any cancellation requests in writing, and obtaining written confirmation that your subscription has actually been cancelled rather than assuming your concerns have been addressed.

I have since disputed the renewal charge with my financial institution after being unable to resolve the matter directly with the company.

Update 7/21/2026:

Despite requesting escalation to a manager or supervisor, I have yet to receive any contact beyond repeated responses from support. I clearly communicated in 2025 that I was no longer interested in doing business with QR Code Creator. At no point was I advised how to cancel my subscription or informed that it would continue renewing unless I took further action. Instead of addressing that communication, the company continues to rely solely on the fact that my cancellation occurred after the renewal, without acknowledging the customer service failures that led to that outcome. Consumers should ensure they receive written confirmation that their subscription has been cancelled and not assume that expressing an intent to discontinue the service is sufficient.

Update 7/28/2026:

Despite the company's public response indicating that it wanted to resolve my concerns, my experience has continued to be disappointing.

After several rounds of correspondence, I shifted the discussion away from the refund itself and asked straightforward questions about the quality of customer support I received. Specifically, I asked why, after I had clearly stated in 2025 that I was "no longer interested in utilizing your company's services," their support agent did not explain what would happen next, advise me that future renewals would occur unless I canceled, or direct me to the appropriate cancellation process.

Rather than answering those questions, every repsonse continued to reinterate that my refund request had been denied because I had not explicityly requested cancellation in 2025. Even after I pointed out that I was no longer asking for a refund, their latest response again concluded by stating that their refund decision remained unchanged, without addressing the questions that I had actually asked.

I also requested that my concerns be reviewed by a manager or supervisor after feeling that my questions were not being addressed. That request has never been acknowledged. Instead, every response has continued to come from the support team and has largely consisted of what appear to be generic, scripted replies that fail to address my specific concerns.

For me, this experience is no longer about the renewal. It's about the quality of customer service (or lack thereof). I believe customers deserve clear information when they communicate that they no longer wish to use a company's services, and they deserve direct answers when they ask reasonable questions about how their concerns are being handled.
