Sent my bracelet away 3 times for repair

Sent my bracelet away 3 times for repair on the finals. The first time the finals were not built and the chain was only repaired. The second time it was sent away only one of the sides were fixed when the manager checked over the bracelet claiming it was “fixed” when you could clearly see one side had not been touched. I have now sent the bracelet away for the third time, I was told that it would be ready today 18/12/20 and it was only sent away for repair yesterday. Really unimpressed, I wanted the bracelet fixed for my birthday as a gift to myself. Really unimpressed. Won’t be sending any of my jewellery away for repair through Prouds Brookside again; what a disappointment.

I purchased a gold and diamond ring…

I purchased a gold and diamond ring from proud and notices a stone was missing when arrived home, I took the ring back to Forster prouds and the lady actually confirmed that there were 2 small diamonds missing. I asked for a refund and the lady Cath told me she won’t give a refund as they only give refunds if there was a flaw, I asked if 2 diamond are missing it’s not a flaw!! I asked her to call head office which she did and came out and said the ring has to be sent away to make sure I didn’t wear it and knock the diamonds out, I tried to explain that I removed it from the box and noticed they were missing and put it back!! I repeated that I wanted a refund, I was getting very irritated with this woman by now and she told her offsider Megan to call security!! I asked for head offices ph number and she told me to look it up myself!! I returned to Brisbane, explained the situation to the prouds lot at browns plains, guess what, they wouldn’t give a refund and basically told me to choose another ring!! I was by this time so frustrated I just took another ring and walked out!! Never again will they get any money from me or my family!! They are so lovely and sweet when they’re taking your money but giving it back is a big noooo!!

Replacement engagement ring without informing me

My fiancé had purchased an engagement ring from the Hypodome store, been engaged since January so been wearing the ring since then. Middle of October I noticed the middle diamond and a claw had fallen out. Taken the ring to Coomera to get replaced. I was told it would take 6 weeks to get fixed. With endless phone calls about what needs to be done they had finally sent the ring off to head office to get accessed even though I had purchased a care plan. Spoke to someone on the phone and she told me that the ring is out of the manufactures warranty so it cannot just be replaced only repaired. Fast forward to today 23/11/20 I had rung the Coomera store as I have not heard anything turns out they had my ring waiting to be picked up even though they reckon they called me and left voicemails (I have proof of no voicemails) turns out they had just replaced the ring without my approval to do so which is very concerning?? So after being lied to about just replacing the ring I am now left with an engagement ring with no sentimental value???

NOT HAPPY!!!
I will never be buying anything from Prouds again!!

Selling Broken Goods I went to the Robina store to buy a…

I went to the Robina store to buy a gold watch for my son’s birthday to wear on his Wedding day. The girl was helpful and I thought I had got a nice watch on special . I was told my son could come back and they would take out necessary links to fit him for free.I happily paid and left with the gift.
I gave the watch to my son and he was delighted with it. Until when trying it on he said Mum it doesn’t seem to be working . I gave him receipt and said to go the store as maybe it needed a new battery. He could get links taken out at same time. When he went the next day to Prouds Robina they checked the watch and found it to be broken. They would not return my money as I wasn’t with him but he did have the receipt. I was absolutely horrified that I had bought him a broken watch and that Prouds were keeping my money hostage (would only give him a gift card) for a watch that was broken when it left the store. He did not like any other watches there and we shopped elsewhere and had to pay more and Prouds still have my money. Not good enough. I can’t believe they can get away with selling broken goods and not refining my money

Scammers!

Please sit back and relax while you read this, since we do have alot to go through.
EDIT: I will change names of the sales reps.

I came into the Prouds store at Earlville with my friend Brodie to pick out an engagement ring for my partner.
My first interaction was with a sales representative named L Nice enough guy, seemed fairly new but was happy to help. As we went through some rings, I explained to them that her ring finger size was going to be quite small as she is a very small girl. L explained to me that they could only resize upto 2 sizes, anything beyond that would require a special order, however only items in the catalogue could be special ordered; yep no worries.

So picked out a ring I liked, asked L is this in the catalogue? Also is there any extra fee for a special order in her size? L said yes, it is in the catalogue and no it does not require any extra funds to have it special ordered.

While I was waiting for the ring to be cleaned, I was looking through the catalogue and noticed the ring I picked wasn't in there, so I asked L again, is this ring in the catalogue? He then scanned the barcode on the ring and said yes it is. When we went upto the register, I was speaking to a lady named M and asking her about the process of special ordering, she explained it is about 8-10 weeks to process, I also asked her again if it was to cost any extra to have it ordered into her size and she said no.
Satisfied that I had made the right decision, I went on my way. The next day I proposed to my partner, she said yes.

The day after that, we went into Prouds to have her size measured (22/09/20). M was also serving us that day. As expected, she was over 3 sizes too small for the ring. M looked up the ring in the system and said, this ring is listed as inactive and cannot be special ordered, it will have to be remade and will cost $199. I said to her, I was told by yourself and L 3 times that special order won't be a problem and will not cost any extra. She said yes I know but the computer system hasn't been updated. I said well that's hardly my problem, I reconfirmed 3 times that it wouldn't be an issue and it wouldn't cost any extra and you confirmed that. I then asked if there was any discount that can be given and she said no. I said well I want a refund and go somewhere else and that's what I did.

Throughout this whole experience, not once I never once was apologised too from M or the store manager, M and the store manager was quite rude, and seemed to want me out of their hair and at all stages of the conversation I was firm but polite. We weren't even congratulated for the engagement.

The money was never the issue, its the principal, and the customer service. Despite the amount of times I had asked, I was always told that it would not cost extra.

I will not shop at any Prouds store again

Broken ring, poor service

I received a ring from prouds for Christmas in 2018. Once received, I sent it to prouds to be resized as it was too big. Less than two years later the ring split in half down the middle of the band. I wore the ring daily but always took it off to shower or if I was doing any heavy lifting. The band is made of gold.
I returned to prouds and expressed that I felt the split may have been due to the resizing as rings do not break in half without being cut or having a flaw. I was told it would be sent to the jeweller to asses whether this was the case but my concern was never noted on the slip sent with the ring. I was given a quote for repair at the time of taking it in for $40 by the cashier who was very rude during my visit.
The ring arrived back late and I was told it would be $75 to fix if I wanted to go ahead.
Due to the lack of assessment of cause, rude staff and concern that the break was due to structural flaws I decided to take the ring elsewhere.
The jeweller I took it to said he had never seen anything like this for a ring that was made smaller so he cannot give me any warranty after the repair. He also said that while he is not certain of the cause it would not have resulted from general wear and is likely an issue in design and structure.
I am now out of pocket $95 to fix the ring and very upset with both the product and service I received. I will not be returning to prouds.

My engagement ring ruined

I had my lovely engagement ring repaired at Prouds Jewellers after losing a small diamond from the side while on holiday in Australia. They said it needed the whole setting rebuilt and charged me $1300, within 10 days the same diamond dropped out again. I wrote several letters and emails but was ignored until I claimed a charge-back from my Visa debit card, they then wrote saying I could have it repaired again at my local jeweller and they would pay and told Visa the same lie. I had the ring repaired and the local jeweller said it was the poorest quality work they had ever seen and the diamond had been stuck in with glue and blobs of metal stuck around it, the ring had not been rebuilt, I had been conned by Prouds and have received no refund as promised. They clearly knew I was a tourist and easy to cheat.

Terrible customer service by a “manger…

Terrible customer service by a “manger of 30 years” whom failed to give my self and husband the correct information regarding our care plan that they strongly insisted we carry out on our purchase, then find out 1 year later it covers NOTHING in which was discussed on the day of purchase with 3 other people also being advised.
Contacted head office, finally received a response from customer service bluntly advising that I was lying basically as the manger told her version that she did in fact give me the correct info and all documents. Which she didn’t. Still waiting to receive them!
So long story short, customer service is rubbish and nothing but!!!
the care plan for 3 years is a complete waste of money, nothing is covered unless you literally catch your stone in your hot palm and take it in to be replaced back in, if not then too bad apparently because it does not, repeat, DOES NOT cover anything. You pay an extra $400 to make them happy. all they worry about is getting their money then sending you off into the sunset with your waste of money x
😂
Lesson learnt. 👌🏽

Poor customer service at Prouds at Morayfield

Prouds at Morayfield, manager was rude and would not supply my diamond ring I had purchased for my wife, that I had paid for.

My wife got it resized, and we were both in the store. I paid for the resizing, but the worker took down my wife's details.

Despite having the same surname, and address, the manager, who knew I had purchased the ring, refused to hand over what is rightfully mine. Prouds management was not interested in providing an acceptable solution, except that my wife can collect it at her convenience....we live 1/2 hour away and now have to go out of our convenience to collect a ring that I own...

Prouds will take your money, but will not value your custom....
