Prospero was a terrific agency to work for. My agent Conor Maguire kept me aware of any changes to the schedule or needs well in advance. I was always where I should have been even when some client sites were disorganized. They were always expecting me and ready to go. My rate of pay was always higher than other agency around me.

I have made it clear both by email and on a phone call I no longer work within education. I have unsubscribed twice from their emails and still receive job postings.
The jobs they send through are underpaid for what they are asking for, so not even remotely tempting to go back into education.

I have found Prospero teaching to be an excellent agency. They (especially Dan Truss and Scott) have been exceptional in finding me a placement. They are consistent in communication and asking for feedback, and very good at communicating with both schools and myself. They look after their staff and that is appreciated.
Overall an absolute pleasure to work for.

The company started off great, I had work coming in weekly from schools. If I required any help, easy access to my consultant. But after a mistake, I was required to do some training... After training was completed and I can work again.. my consultant just ghosted me and told me no work was available ever.

My time with Prospero Teaching has been great. They have been very kind and responsive and tried very hard to place me in a school. They do their best to accommodate for all workers, especially Skyler, she is very friendly and hardworking.

I was dealt by Daniel Hodson Walker of Prospero Teaching and placed at Newbridge School as LSA on 15th September 2023. I became permanent staff of this school on 27th September 2024. During my journey with Prospero, Daniel was excellent all through. He was helpful and generous. I like his people dealings. I recommend everyone to go with Prospero if think to start career with teaching.

My agent Dan Hodson-Walker is always helpful and will always sort everything you need. He has found me my perfect teaching role and I cannot thank him enough. He is not like other agents from other agencies that just do it for the money. He genuinely wants to find you the perfect role. Thank you Prospero. Dan really is an asset to your company.

Startedoff great until I was reassigned to Laura O Sullivan as my controller. No professionalism. Whatsapps me and messages me whenever she feels like it. And when we try to reach out to her, She never picks up or just reply back saying she is on annual leave. She is always on annual leave. She, at one point, shouts at me for reaching out to her during her annual leavewhich I wasnt aware of. I took screenshots to show that she started the conversation and how rude and unprofessional she is. I reached out to the compliance team to be reassigned since Laura wasn't helpful at all, but I havent heard from them since then.

Attempted to work with the Leeds branch. I was initially enthused after a meeting and liked their approach. However I ended up wasting countless hours filling the same forms repeatedly for the registration process to then take months to finish.
Informed them that I (luckily) had work lined up for the opening two weeks of January through a different agency, to then receive constant calls from different people offering me work that isn't suitable for a supply teacher. These people then pressured me to give up that teaching work mentioned for theirs, which I found totally inappropriate. This was work including one to one SEN support, not relevant to my training or background. Did they even bother to read my CV?
There was no reliable point of contact at the Leeds branch, people just rang and didn't even introduce themselves. Who was I talking to and what was their role at Propsero?
Following that two week period was radio silence from Prospero after trying to get in touch. These agencies don't treat you with respect as a professional, they destroy you and work purely for themselves and their own profit margins. My experience with Prospero and other agencies destroyed my enthusiasm for teaching.

I’m not happy with their attitude to contractors. They need to improve their attention.

From start to finish both Holly and Ethan have been excellent. Both have been extremely proactive and informative throughout. Although each opportunity presented hasn't always been suitable for me they have always given me the option considering that the industry as a whole has been quiet since I registered with them. Things are now picking up, which is great. Only complaints are not getting paid for a trial day when this wouldn't have been the case with other agencies, and the constant emails from other consultants after making it clear that I'm dealing with Holly and Ethan. Seems strange to be that it's pretty much a free for all when it comes to consultants approaching candidates at prospero. This can sometimes be confusing.

More than getting money from doing the DBS and sending you emails to do courses with them and pay for the courses, they do not do! I wonder if they really find a role for somebody.
This is a very strange agency!!! I have seen it from the beginning, when I started to register with them, which it took 2 months, until the present, when they sent me emails for different positions and after to tell me , ' the booking filled up quickly '.
It looks like a scam company !!!

Prospero is a good agency and my experience of onboarding and registering was very smooth. Lucy was extremely helpful throughout the process and was always willing to sort out any issues I had. Although It did take me a couple of months to land my first attachment, I have found one now - all very convenient so far!
