Solar installation

Great experience today with Dylan:) What a fantastic employee to have working for your company. In recent years many companies customer service skills have declined and call centre staff don’t know how to engage with customers - not this guy. Absolutely fantastic member of staff. He explained everything fully to me and was even honest enough to say that solar panels wouldn’t suit our situation right now, as we aren’t spending enough on our electric - so lovely again to speak to an honest company for once, that aren’t just about taking your money. Great company and highly recommend to anyone that wants to see if they can get Solar panels and save money 🙌🏻Thanks again 5 stars 🤩

Ben and Frazer came on time to install the solar panels and battery. They asked my permission before they did anything, did a nice neat job and explained the system on the app after checking everything was working properly before they left.

Sorry to say I had a brief but unpleasant experience with Project Solar. Their sales people were pushy, strangely coercive and, frankly, a bit full of themselves. Examples? Telling me I was wrong to anticipate 16 panels on my roof as their systems tend to have fewer panels, only to then have them reveal that they could indeed fit 16 panels (like it was their idea). Their probing questions about my work and my wife’s work. Their insistence that both of us have to be home when their salesperson comes round - no exceptions. In all, they acted far too controlling and dismissive of me, the customer set to pay £10k for their services. I finished the call and such a completely bad feeling about what was in store that I called straight back and cancelled everything. No other solar company I’ve contacted (and I’ve contacted a fair few now) left me feeling this uncomfortable and stressed this quickly. A real own goal from Project Solar.

Went through their checker - “solar panels don’t work on flat roofs. What a joke! Do solar farms only work on hills?? Waste of time. Don’t bother.

Installation was supposed to be two days. It lasted 4 weeks with problems on 5 visits. Every visit was a different team who never knew what work was done before. The job is now finally finished and am still awaiting fo my mcs certificate etc.

Not ideal!
The installer didnt walk me through the app dashboard, how it works etc. The scaffolding is still lying not removed. This has disrupted me and my child as we cant access my TV channels due to poor scaffolding covering my TV antenna. Its been 3 extra days since this has happened and i need to be compensated for this week of no TV plus no access to my back garden for other work.

Good information and support
The whole process has been clear and informed. Our only feedback is that we would have liked to explore the option of putting another two panels on our extension, which was not considered when running the figures. While the guys were here and the scaffolding was up, that would have been the best time, rather than us looking into adding more panels at a later date.
