Prforbooks gave me a professional helpful service at a very reasonable price. Their press releases go out to a wide range of media organisations. Following their press release for my new book Coronadiary the Radio 4 Today programme got in touch and there were pieces about the book in the New European and Public Finance.

I am delighted to recommend PrforBooks and their invaluable expertise in promoting my book 'What it is to be Blue'.As a result of their work and professionalism, I have been interviewed by BBC Radio Manchester and have received an impressive amount of interest in my book resulting in extra sales and enquiries. The service is excellent.

The response was almost immediate every time, which worried me. I wondered if they had any other clients. The press release had very little that I hadn't provided for them. Of 1180 words, they supplied 158. What was worse they didn't query a major typo I'd made and their lead sentence was very long (43 words!). The PR was produced before I was asked to select from a list of target recipients. That list was inadequate for my genre. The concerns raised were not even acknowledged so I suggested Glenn hand over to a colleague. Instead they offered a refund. My book is probably too specialised for this company and since others have had a good experience all I would say is make sure they have experience in your field from the outset.
In response to PRfor books: none of my emails were unpleasant though they possibly provoked an uncomfortable ego reaction in the recipient. My first comment was simply that I was disappointed with the result and I expected some expression of concern over this but got none. I didn't consider this good customer care. That first long (and not very grammatical) sentence further shook my confidence. I'm pleased that others are having good results with PrforBooks and only express my own experience.

Great team, and Glenn is super responsive which I appreciate. I ended up getting coverage in a few places and also in The Sun which was way beyond what I was expecting. Thank you to Glenn and the team!
This is an opportunity to thank Glenn and his amazing team from PRBooks for all the help and support re my book’Your Story’
I was interviewed on New York radio for an hour - and invited to participate on a pod cast.
Thank you
Sincerely Alison Warden
Glenn and his team have produced two Press Releases for me now. All I can say is PR Books are a must if you want to promote your work and get noticed in the marketplace. I am a published author and illustrator/artist and will definitely use their services again.-Stephen Paul
P R for Books offered me a very cost efficient service for one of my books and communicated well during the media set process plus the type produced was excellent.
The result after their first mail - out has been great. Interest from the USA and an Interview pending with a magazine in Australia.
Who knows where this will lead for me?
Well done PR for Books!!

As a very little known author I thought needed a bit of 'Professional ' help to get my latest book 'A Shoulder on the Hill' to a wider public. PR4BOOKS have done a marvellous job, sending out Press Releases to all possible parties that might have picked up interest in the book. I am delighted to say that LIVING NORTH MAGAZINE picked up on this and have just included a long feature on the book in their latest on-line magazine. I am sure this will give a great boost to the book, so thank you PR4BOOKS - particularly Glenn, who has been so supportive and helpful throughout.

Prforbooks have generated great publicity for the Interactive 80s Game book. I received coverage from.Journalix who.did an excellent twitter campaign. Great value for money and an excellent customer service. They have written excellent article about my book and it is raising awareness and generating some sales. I would recommend if you are looking to generate publicity for your book.

I have taken time to digest the service I was provided by this company, not wanting to be unfair or to respond while still bitterly disappointed
This was my experience and I have the email correspondence to support my claims.
Firstly I received a press release for my authorisation. I amended it in several places and confirmed it ok for release.
I was informed once it went out I would receive ‘some bounce back emails which I should ignore.
I paid only for UK releases.
I received several bounce back emails either out of office or no longer in use etc. Some from places in Africa and The America’s. Having only requested UK exposure I became concerned. I wrote to the company to be told they had added some international contacts ‘for free’
I then heard nothing.
I contacted them again asking why I had not heard and I requested a list from them of the contact they had sent to on my behalf to advertise my book, they quickly responded with what can only be described as a list of hundreds of potential contacts, none of which were verifiable from the information they gave but the most alarming fact was this was a massive list, a general list of many supposed contacts and a huge proportion now I have been through it are totally irrelevant to the promotion of my book.
I waited again and I never received a single enquiry from the hundreds of possible contacts on those sheets.
Alarm bells were now sounding.
I questioned Glenn and his response was that for a book like mine radio stations etc had no interest (WHAT!!??)
If that were true why was he ‘supposedly’ marketing to them ?
Unbeknown to him I had already undertaken my own PR and had mentions on two radio stations, been interviewed by two newspapers who published lengthy articles have live Linked In Interviews been requested and have initial interest from one film company who are currently assessing the book for adaptation to the screen.
All the above done by my own simple methods and cold call contacts.
I requested a full refund, which was granted and paid back to my account very quickly and I thanked them for that.
There are other reviews here that show good responses. But those poor reviews all have the same theme suggesting they are both genuine and of concern.
Having been in business for many years I understand not only how things should work but I also know that if something looks too good to be true, it generally is.
I was appalled by the total lack of communication once the press release had gone out. They do respond quickly if you contact them, but if you don’t then I would suggest they have little intention of focussing on you.
I would not recommend this service nor would I use it again, regardless of any claims or good reviews that may appear here.
My advice from this would be to research your intended PR beyond their own website ( I couldn’t find them anywhere else btw, not on linked in , FB or Instagram) unless they are operating under a different name but I am not suggesting they are, I just couldn’t trace them anywhere else?
I received a very poor service. Not to be repeated
TO FOLLOW YOUR RESPONSE...
The emails you refer to were initiated by me asking you a question of which you replied saying you would get back to me on Monday, you then sent a further response over the weekend stating this was something you don’t normally do and you dealt with my question with no requirement for a further follow up even though I sent a thank you.
YOU ARE IN PROTECTIONIST MODE AND NOT BEING TRUTHFUL
RE: Asking just for the UK package
You never mentioned anything about the ‘ Free inclusion’ until I wrote to you asking why I had bounce back fro African locations, knowing I had only paid for the UK package you never volunteered that information at all until I called you on it
Everything I stated in my original review is correct fact checked and 100% accurate.
You may have had success with others, I care not about them but FROM MY EXPERIENCE I WAS FAILED 100% by PRForbooks
This is the last response I am going to post to end this toxic conversation
Very very poor

I reviewed in February. However, the company responded with lies. The company writes a review, but the reviews don’t appear in newspapers or magazines. Instead, the reviews are emailed to so-called clients who are mainly in Europe - meaning that they communicate in their language. Sadly enough the communication reply are “out of office reply!” I don’t speak or write German and found it difficult to communicate.
As others have said, this clearly is a money making scam. In these hard times, Glen should be totally ashamed of ripping innocent people off.
Get a life - Shame on you!!!!

I was so sure The No Recipe Cookbook from Adelaide, South Australia, wouldn't get any interest from overseas, that I used my mobile phone number and personal email for the press release! Now, as a surgeon, I've been trying to respond to media enquiries between cases on my operating list. I am already booked, within one week, on a morning TV show in the US with >250k viewers and an online cooking show! I dealt with Glenn who was fantastic. Thank you PRforBooks.

My book is called Every Day Bradford. As result of today’s ores release I have five good and reliable expressions of interest - BBC local radio interview and promises or indications of reviews and articles from the Yorkshire Post (critical to me) , a freelance journalist who writes for the Guardian/ BBC , editor of an online magazine about Yorkshire life and editor of Yorkshire Business Woman

This is a scam. The author makes a payment, and... that's end end of it. No feedback, no campaign trail, nothing.
Following the publication of the review, Trustpilot approached me asking for the confirmation of my engagement with Prforbooks, which I did provide.

I would recommend Prforbooks, they are great for getting publicity out there for authors. Glen was very helpful and had some great ideas.
Failed to get any response from the media
What I wanted was at least some response from some of the media. I got none at all. The PR release looked pretty good. And if several media outlets had got in touch, then it would have been up to me take it from there. But this didn't happen. Don't assume there was anything innately wrong with my title or novel. (Mann Alone by Philip Kelly, and it is really good). It is just that publicity in a very crowded market doesn't seem to work if you are not a celebrity. Maybe PR For Books ought to emphasise the strong possibility that you will get no value for your money.
I was amazed that within an hour of the campaign starting I had already secured an interview with BBC Cornwall. Was not expecting things to happen so quickly.
Highly recommend!
Glenn and the team have been very helpful. Following my first press release, I had an interview on ITV Wales and an interview with a US podcast about my book -Home By Seven. Well worth the money spent. Thanks guys. I look forward to my next press release. Fingers crossed!
Wouldn't even give 1 star. Waste of money. Got 50% refund therefore a loss. Replies, only a few and were from people advertising their services and a book club who wanted copies. Guess what?!! A week later they appeared on Amazon second hand!
Didn't deliver on their promises the bulk were out of office replies. When I raised the issues my book was blamed which I found strange since they had never read it! They just gave multiple excuses.
Since severing ties I have peddled my works very successfully and started a second series with the first now in a script.
Bad experience but the lesson learnt here was don't touch, steer clear use your money elsewhere. You can do more yourself than what they say they will do.
Within an hour of the team at PR for books sending my press release out I had a call from Archant and a booking for an interview on BBC Radio London.
Since then, the evening standard have been in contact along with book reviewers, bloggers and local newspapers. Very happy so far!
