Premier Ship Models Reviews 

After a Dutch company told me they were no longer taking orders, a Chinese company did not respond and an American one did not offer the desired finish, I ended up at Premier Ship Models in January 2024. I opted for a premium finish from 6-8 months for the build of a 1990 Hinkley Sou'wester. With nothing more than a top view and a side view and a lot of photos they got to work. 9 times I got an update with photos to assess the progress and make comments. I happily made a photo album of this. I asked for quite a few corrections, which were all carried out. The only downside was a huge underestimation of the shipping costs. But the ship was very well packed and delivered in September. The sailing ship had suffered a bit on the journey, but I was able to repair that easily, except for the downhaul - it was too simple and would break off again immediately. I left that out (it would still be nice to receive a "real life" version). The correspondence was very good, my sincere thanks to the team for the great job!

Arrived in good time instructions good but need a colour picture for painting which would be really helpful

I purchased a the USS Constitution, a Manta kit back in Jan. The directions are almost impossible to follow. Some part numbers listed in the brief word directions aren't found in the very sketchy drawings. The directions in planking and finishing the hull, are missing blocks of descriptions on how to proceed. I've sent several e-mails to both Manta and Preimier but have little to no useful response from either.

Ordered & paid for a model ship kit on their website, but after waiting a couple of weeks phoned to ask where my kit was & was informed it was out of stock. Eventually turned up a month later.
Why advertise something when it is out of stock?

Very helpful when contacted. They even dispatched some last minute additions to my order so I didn’t have a delay. It seemed that nothing was a problem and I’m very happy with the service. Thank you.

Today I received my Santisima Trinidad after 1 month of waiting. A little bit late with the delivery of 15 days that the site saying... But the costumer support was absolutely great the response that they gave me back. So it worth it if your model is out of stock or delay. And also they post my model with next day delivery.I wish I was able to give 10 stars not only just 5. Continue the great job guys on any service!!!!

No communication order from them now told model is not in stock and can take another 2 weeks if I had known that I wouldn’t have placed the order very disappointed

Terrible Company . On website as Australian with kits that I ordered online to my door with shipping . Only to find out held up due to customs and duty that was an extra. There was never any communication on shipping till I had to chase. Up via emails. In over 30 years of purchasing over seas never had such a problem as always quoted and paid if any extra would need to pay.
Do not use this company as not in Australia and read small print

We ordered a model of the Mary Rose back in February 2024. We were advsised that production and delivery woud be about 3 months. I called three months later for a progress update and you had just arranged shipping. The model arrived 24 hrs later, extremely well packed and is now sitting in pride of place in our living room. The model is beautifuly made and we are delighted. Well done and thank you to all at Premier Ship Models.

We are very happy with the service and the model. My father was super surprised when he get the boat that he’s grandfather was the only survivor on.

Terrible company, terrible customer service. Ordered as a birthday gift. The product arrived 3 months late and had to continuously chase. For context, over 2,500 GBP was spent. I take no pleasure in writing this but avoid this company at all costs. Whilst based in the UK, their production takes place in Mauritius. Delays and issues which arise are blamed on weather and storms here. They are also very short staffed. From the top down, they ignore emails and deflect responsibility. Plenty of alternative companies out there. Avoid

At first, I was a bit skeptical of buying a wooden ship model that would have to be shipped across the ocean to Canada. However, I couldn't be more pleased with the experience at Premier Ship Models. I placed an order for the Endurance for my son in October. It was ready in a matter of weeks and arrived well before Christmas. (It was the most intricate packing job I've ever seen.) The ship arrived on time, without a single blemish, and looked great. The model is beautifully built. The price was quite reasonable. My son is thoroughly delighted and so am I.

I was looking for a company that does custom design and production of an elvish ship from LOTR. I was most pleased to have found Premier Ship Models.
This is to be my resting urn, as I have been a LOTR “nerd” through my life.
I have been receiving updated pictures throughout the progressions and am nothing but amazed!
I hope once completed, it is utilized as an example for their phenomenal production and artistry.

We went to Galveston, Tx for our 1 year anniversary, and toured the 1877 Elissa sail ship. We ordered the model 5 months ago. Although we worried at times it wasn't going to come in, because of some of these reviews we continued to have hope. Well....our ship came in! The ship was packed better than I have ever seen anything packed. To my surprise the ship was fully assembled ( thought I would have to do it ). It is an amazing replica of the Elissa. Thanks Premier! Y'all deserve rave reviews!

I purchased two wooden model ships from Premier Ship Models. First, they have the best prices. Second, when the shipping company caused water damage to one of the packages, they responded immediately and, without hesitation, made things right.
