- We fully understand the frustrations you are feeling under the current situation due to the steep increase in prices. Energy markets have hit record highs which have caused major problems across the energy industry. We trust the following provides some reasoning for the increases: CNG forward bought your gas usage when the wholesale market was considerably lower than today, this enabled you to be on the rate you were previously on. Unfortunately, when CNG went into administration these hedges / forward purchases ended. The knock-on effect of this is that Pozitive Energy inherited your supply at the current market rate which is significantly higher. After a rigorous tender process Pozitive Energy was appointed the “supplier of last resort” (SoLR) During this process deemed / out of contract prices were strictly agreed with Ofgem As Pozitive Energy was appointed the supplier of last resort no hedges could be put in place as you have no contract with us, therefore the current market rate is applicable. Unfortunately, the rate you were previously on to the rate you are on now is significantly more, however, we are forced to buy and supply you at these rates. Our fixed term contracts are far more competitive than our deemed pricing and we would encourage everyone to get in touch with our Customer Care team to discuss a fixed term contract with us. Worst energy company I've had the misfortune to deal with
If I could give 0 stars to this awful company, I would! As a new business we inherited services from Pozitive Energy, and I have spent the last 3 months attempting to get free of them. First they didn't acknowledge our change of tenancy, then starting aggressively chasing us for the previous tenant's debt (including sending bailiffs to our business), and now it is impossible to get them to accept our meter readings and issue us with a final bill. To date they have issued 11 bills, all of which contain incorrect information and conflicting amounts, and have refused to explain how much we actually owe and how this has been calculated. They have simultaneously told us that we CAN't pay our our bill until they verify the meter readings, and that we HAVE to pay our bill before we are charged late fees. At the same time, their sales team has been aggressively attempting to push us into a contract, arguing (erroneously) that this the only way to reduce our bill (which was initially, in error, based on grossly inflated estimates of our usage). I have wasted hours of my life on the phone with their customer service operators, who have consistently been really rude to us, and given us contradictory and incorrect information. It has been an absolute nightmare, and I would suggest anyone else avoid them like the plague.
