4 years ago I had an issue where they sent out food that was delivered and no longer frozen. Got a load of attitude from the customer service team. Asked them to remove all of my data. They continued to send me marketing material. Raised a complaint and was assured they resolved the issue (blaming shopify because they take no responsibility). And now I’ve had marketing emails from them. Clearly no respect for users and their data. Have asked this to be looked into again, will likey need to report them to the ICO.

I have written to you and had no acknowledgement. I also included the previous emails where you confirmed you had removed me.

Poppy’s picnic has been a life saver for us. We have a very fussy cockapoo with an allergy to chicken. We were running out of ideas to get her to eat and luckily came across Poppy’s Picnic. I use the raw cook able variety and haven’t looked back.

My cats love this food which makes feeding them a raw diet so simple and easy. Orders are always packed fine, no delivery issues, and they've got great customer service; one order, I had some packs of one flavour with a specific batch number that my cats just wouldn't eat. They'd eat older packs of the same flavour with different batch numbers, or different flavours even with the same batch number just fine - but it was still 6 or 7 packs in the end that they turned their noses up at, and I ended up throwing them away.
I contacted Poppy's Picnic about this, and they said they didn't have any other reports like this for this batch number, but they didn't want me to be out of pocket, so they offered me 10x packs in whatever flavours I'd like (and were of a newer batch). They arrived very quickly, and my cats have never had this issue again with their food. Very pleased with the experience!

Thank you for great service again today. You are always so helpful and supportive.
My Cocker Spaniel loves your range, and now we’ve discovered the Super Sprinkles too.

My cat loves Tabby's Table raw cat food and it's so easy to store and to portion out. He's in great condition and has no more digestive problems which is a great relief to the household! Plus I love that you can return the packaging for reuse

I honestly cannot speak highly enough of Poppy’s Picnic.
When I first got my boys as puppies, it was really important to me that I chose an excellent quality food to support their health and wellbeing. But it was equally important that it was something they genuinely liked and enjoyed eating.
Because of that, I ordered a selection of tester boxes from a number of different raw and cooked food companies so they could effectively choose for themselves.
Poppy’s Picnic was the clear winner. Over the past year they have consistently chosen it. On the rare occasions I have run out and tried to offer something else, they have quite literally turned their noses up at it and waited for their Poppy’s to come back. The boys have made it very clear where their loyalties lie.
They thrive on it. Their coats are beautiful, their teeth are clean, their condition is excellent and their overall health has been fantastic. As a very devoted dog mum, that means everything to me.
The customer service matches the quality of the food. Just this week I placed an order and realised afterwards that I hadn’t selected the Saturday delivery option I needed. It was completely my mistake. I messaged on WhatsApp and Debbie came back to me almost immediately, sorted it out straight away and rearranged everything without fuss. It was handled with kindness and efficiency and made what could have been stressful feel easy.
I even factored a full height freezer into my recent house renovation so I never run out again!
Very happy dogs. Very happy dog mum.
Big love for Poppy’s Picnic 🫶🏼🐶

Our miniature schnauzer, Tilly Scrumptious absolutely loves Poppy's Picnic. We choose the low fat options for her, both raw and cookable. We love its versatility, being able to cook before we head out on our adventures knowing that there's a tasty lunch we can take and which Tilly adores. She's 8 years old now, still runs around like a puppy, because of her healthy diet thanks to Poppy's Picnic

I have been using Poppy’s Picnic for many years. My Cav has a very sensitive stomach, so what he eats is vital to his good health. In all the years their service and quality of their products, is consistently excellent. I have never used a different producer of dog food, and never will. I totally depend on them for the well being of my little dog. In the event that I need to speak to someone ( not often) they are very simple to get in touch with, either by phone or online. Because they are such a small, family run business, they know everything about my dog. He has health issues, and they are happy and able to give advice and share their profound knowledge of my breed of dog. A truly wonderful service. I cannot praise them highly enough,

I have a very fussy Cockapoo, but she absolutely loves Poppy’s Picnic’s cookable range! It’s the most consistent she’s ever been with eating, and mealtimes are now far less stressful. The food smells great, looks fresh, and clearly makes her happy — I couldn’t ask for more. Thank you, Poppy’s Picnic, for making dinnertime a joy instead of a battle!

I have a sensitive tummy fussy 1 year old Yorkshire terrier. After trying lots of different foods we tried Poppy's picnic. Just cooked and added the meatballs in with his normal food he loves it empty plates every time.

We have been ordering food from this company for our 4 year old cocker spaniel since he was a puppy and have been very satisfied with the service and the quality of the product. We haven't experienced any of the courier issues mentioned in a couple of previous posts, and whenever we have requested to change the order and delivery in any way it's always been actioned promptly and politely. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Our elderly cat was getting increasingly fussy, leaving more and more of her food, even the expensive stuff. As a diabetic cat, this was making it harder to manage her blood sugars and insulin. We switched to Poppy's cat food, and never looked back! She eats every last bit, everyday! Its easy to know exactly how much we feed her each meal. Can't recommend it enough!

Purchased a box of 8 of poppys picnic raw mince. 1st box was delayed (not Poppy’s fault) They then sent out a 2nd box free of charge (great) . 2nd box of food arrived on time however there were no ice packs only polystyrene bits. So the food was cold but all defrosted and soft. Poppy’s confirmed that they send the food frozen and that it can become soft around the edges. However all packs were soft in the middle of the mince. They have since told me that it’s safe to refreeze. I wasn’t happy with this so I had asked if future deliveries could be packed with ice packs. Instead they’ve refunded me (great) & told me I can’t order from them again due to the issues. This is absolutely crazy business to me. If this was me I would have came back to the customer given a refund and resent the order with ice packs to ensure the safety of the food & ensure it remains frozen or even mostly frozen. It’s a real shame as I’ve since found out that a lot of people have switched from Poppy’s due to customer service issues. The raw food market is becoming increasingly competitive so it doesn’t surprise me people are switching. I really hope they can learn from this & support the customer instead of washing their hands of them. As for other customers please do your own research & don’t take this companies word for it when it comes to the safety & handling of raw food.
Edit - they’ve now contacted me on instagram stating - We’d like to clarify the reason we’re unable to send out any further orders.
Due to ongoing courier issues in your area, your deliveries have unfortunately been arriving late. As a result, the food has arrived defrosted or partially defrosted, which is not the standard we want for our customers or for our products.
In an effort to resolve this, we sent out two further FREE orders however, these additional orders were not mentioned in your post on AADF or a true reflection of your experience.
The decision not to continue supplying is not because we don’t value you as a customer. It is solely due to the ongoing courier issues, which have resulted in three orders arriving defrosted or partially defrosted. Unfortunately, under these circumstances, we are unable to guarantee the quality of the food on arrival.
We’re genuinely sorry that this has been your experience and wish you and Rosie all the very best moving forward.
To which I responded with- I’ve only received 2 orders from you? The 1st order was DPD delayed fault. The 2nd order was on time. It was yourself that didn’t pack it with ice packs. As you’ve already stated in a previous message you don’t add ice packs in the winter. Please re read all the messages that have been on here. As I think you might be confused with what you’ve communicated with myself. If you had sent out a 3rd delivery with ice packs then I will have been a regular customer as I’ve been with butternut box for almost 2 years. Then to add insult to the situation by telling me to purchase from another company that stock your food is absolutely insanity. If you packed your own food correctly then customers wouldn’t have fully defrosted food. Please understand that you trying to defend yourself is only making it worse. You’ve told me incorrect information.

I stopped ordering from this company a long time ago, despite my 3 dogs loving the products. I recently came across the agent’s rude reply again - a reminder of why I left.
When I inquired about my parcel being delivered to another location, her response was dismissive and accusatory rather than helpful. Instead of assisting with the issue, she questioned why I hadn’t collected the parcel, even though I only received the delivery notification after the shop had closed. Rather than acknowledging the mistake or apologizing, she shifted the blame onto me.
Customer inquiries should be handled with professionalism and support, not blame. She clearly requires additional customer service training, or these matters should be handled by someone else. With this kind of service, the company will continue to lose customers.
Edit:
They are very much enjoying another food, thank you. Your response confirms that dismissive, blame-shifting communication is considered “above and beyond” service.

I decided to start my pup on a raw diet after doing some research and discovering the many health benefits. He had some health goals he needed to reach, as he was a little underweight but needed to maintain muscle. We tried him on many different foods, such as 'grain-free', and they were never right, so we had decided to switch him to a raw diet. With Poppy's Picnic, he gets all his nutrients and he is now a healthy weight. The ingredients are quality and fresh, and every meal he finishes the whole lot. Delivery is fantastic, as it always arrives on time with next-day delivery. I really do recommend Poppy's Picnic

We have fed raw for over ten years, so we are not new to this.
Raw feeding is often seen as complicated, but Poppy’s Picnic makes it simple and stress free.
It works brilliantly if you are new and thinking of transitioning, or if you are a seasoned feeder like me.
The food is well packaged, not messy, and you do not need a second freezer.
Regular deliveries mean you can just top up as you go.
The meaty chunks are generous and the single source proteins are a real bonus.
I also love that it removes the worry about whether my dog is getting the right balance of vitamins, minerals, protein and fats.
Customer service has been excellent.
I would not hesitate to recommend Poppy’s Picnic

Brilliant cat food supplier - my Savannah cat loves the meatballs. She had stomach issues with dry food and after switching over to raw food these issues vanished.
Very easy to set up reoccurring orders with Poppy’s Picnic. I’d recommend to cat or dog lovers that want to try raw food
