Point A London, Canary Wharf
Stayed at Point A in Canary Wharf - exceptional and kind service from all the team at the front desk, with a special thanks to Paul and Lizeth for their help finding my way to the hotel and throughout my stay.
Claustrophobic and loud
Terrible Hotel, stayed in Parnell Street. Rooms very loud and small, constant banging from doors of other rooms, everything is controlled with panel, there are no switches, TV didn't work. There was construction work going on from early in the morning, nothing was mentioned on Website. Stay away from this Hotel chain, 1 Star is too much

My daughter collapsed first day of our stay. They called an ambulance, then took our room our of service until we knew when we were going home. I ended up extending my stay 2 more days but knowing that room was secure was a huge weight off my mind while in emergency room. The staff all asked how she was and helped call taxis when I went to visit and talked to me while I cried. Fantastic people, great hotel run with a human touch.

Dishonest
Dishonest - I booked a non-refundable stay to an event that got cancelled. I explained this to Point A Glasgow and asked if I could use the change of date option without occurring any additional costs. The confirmed I could change my date and to do it soon. I changed my date which they confirmed only to discover that they charged me for the original booking and only just created me an additional booking. If they had said I couldn’t change my hotel date for free I would have just stayed in the hotel anyway. A waste of £55 I was wrongly misled into being able to change dates. Now I’ll have to hope I can cancel the other date and stay at a non scamming hotel.
horrible experience
this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, in my entire life. There was a hostage situation next door, a killer appeared at my door and killed my great great great grandmother. I never want to go back to Glasgow because of this place. NOT EVEN FOR £100,000. I hate this place/
Superb value
This is the 4th time in recent months I’ve stayed at a Point a hotel. Yes, the rooms are compact, but they’re always clean, adequate and very reasonably priced. They allow me to stay overnight more than I’d otherwise be able to.
I’m a ‘corporate’ traveller and have stayed in some very plush and very bad hotels. Point a have the absolute best balance between value and plush! I’ll choose Point a as my preference every time.
Staff are always great too - fantastic service. Couldn’t recommend more.

Canary Warf Point A Hotel Scam
Wife and daughter booked into the Point A Hotel in Canary Warf, you have to be an idiot to stay with this hotel chain, they hid the fact way down the page on the website that the restaurant was closed, yet the advertised free breakfast on there website but did not say except Canary Warf. And they still had the nerve to charge the same price. When I phoned to complain I was told there was no manager on, on a Sunday. No manager is available on one of the busiest days for a hotel, what a joke. Book any other hotel chain but don't book this one, or you will ask to be ripped off. RIP OFF BRITAIN that's what this hotel chain stands for.
Stayed here for a gig in Glasgow
Stayed here for a gig in Glasgow , booked it for its relatively cheap price at short notice and closeness to Queen Street station .
Very easy to find and nice friendly staff on arrival , I was on the 4th floor in a windowless room (although it did have but it was frosted thick glass) . Got to say it was probably one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in , very clean , comfy bed great free internet and large flat screen TV .
The bathroom had a great shower perfect water pressure and easy to use also plenty of lovley fluffy towls .
Breakfast wasnt included but I chose to pay £9:99 for a help yourself continental breakfast which I have to say was worth every penny the coffee was very good and the sausages I had were exceptional as were to rolls fresh and crispy, I also had a banana and maple yougurt which was also fresh and tasty .
The only downside was I found the room to hot for my liking and had to have the air conditioning on all night but to be honest I could hardly here it so no real issues .
I paid £45:00 for one night and to be honest this will be my first choice next time I'm back in Glasgow , highly recommended.
Bed bug/dust mite issues - kings cross
On the evening after arriving back from my 4 night stay at the kings cross branch, I discovered multiple insect bites all over my leg, arms and back. I emailed the customer service number over a week ago with pictures of the bites but they have completely ghosted me with no acknowledgement of my complaint. They have also been deleting my comments on their tiktok videos and removing my google reviews and continue to disregard my issues. I can only assume they know about this but refuse to do anything about it as long as they keep getting guests staying across all their major city branches.
Really Rude Staff - and Dirty Toilets. Point A Hotel, Edinburgh.
Point A Hotel, Edinburgh. Really Rude Staff - and dirty toilets.
The Reception Staff were really rude. When I complained to the duty manager (Fatima) I was ignored.
The rooms were generally clean, but the shower cubicle had pubic hair left in it. So either it wasn't cleaned or was incompletely cleaned.
The general toilet serving the Bar/Breakfast area had no soap in the dispensers. I reported this to the duty Manager (Fatima) at night, but was still not resolved at breakfast time. That means that anyone using this area, including the bar and breakfast staff, were not washing their hands properly.
Poor Customer Service
Oh dear Patrick, looks like there are more bad ones than good ones here.
Throughly deserved.
Terrible customer service.
Overpriced and uncomfortable.
Ridiculously small room . Double bed up against wall at one side . Mattress was lumpy. We asked for more pillows for our second night and were told none were available. Yet an hour later we asked another member of staff who said no problem and they were supplied.
Outrageous price particularly as no breakfast. Not even complimentary tea or coffee. Couldn’t wait to leave.
The only good thing about this hotel was the location .
NO OXYGEN IN THE ROOMS!!!
I recently stayed at the Point A Kensington Olympia in Earl's Court and was extremely disappointed with my experience.
We had specifically paid for a room with a window, as otherwise we think it will be very claustrophobic. But we then got a "sky room" instead, and the room was incredibly small and cramped, with barely enough space to move around. Not only that, but there were no windows in the room (only a small ceiling window which could not be opened), which made it feel like a prison cell rather than a hotel room. We complained about this, as it was not what was pictured on our booking. The staff were very unhelpful and could not do anything. They did not offer any solutions or attempt to make my stay more comfortable.
It gets worse when the fire alarm went off one morning because there was NO OXYGEN in the room! Because we could not open any windows.
In addition, there was no power in the sockets when we arrived and for two whole days. Fortunately this was fixed by an electrician.
Overall, I would not recommend the Point A Kensington Olympia in Earl's Court to anyone. The small rooms and lack of windows made my stay unbearable, and the unhelpful staff only added to my frustration. Save your money and stay somewhere else.
Dreadful accommodation
Dreadful accommodation, teeny Timy box room, no window and no space for any furniture, just pull down plastic shelves. Fan didn’t work, so claustrophobic by daughter likened the room to a coffin, checked straight out and booked a different hotel. This chain is awful and will never get another penny from me, I have never paid for such an awful, dismal small
Claustrophobic room
Fire alarms and charged twice
Probably the worst hotel experience I've had for my whole life. The rooms were clean and modern, the wifi was good and the staff was nice, but that was pretty much all of the good parts.
Now for the not so good parts: They don't have breakfast, although some websites may suggest they have. What they give you is a 9 quid voucher for Pret. That is not a hotel breakfast.
The stairs were closed, so you had to use the tiny elevators all the time.
The fire alarm went of TWICE, one of them early in the morning, even though there was no fire.
The staff couldn't help you to extend your stay. They said we had to do it online, because we booked it via a third-party service. Guess it's true for a lot of hotels, but the staff didn't really give you any help with that.
And worst of all: they charged us twice. We claimed that we paid before our stay, but they still wanted us to pay when we checked out. We had to contact the third party service to get our money back (which we also did a couple of days later).
The fact that we give them a 2 out of 5 is because the staff at least seemed to try to be nice, and that the rooms actually felt clean (but really small). Oh, I just remembered: the bathroom had some sort of semi-transparent glass door? Seriously?

Ovepriced cramped airless and windowless cell with minimal facilities at Grays Inn Hotel.
Extremely small room with no window
Extremely small room and bathroom, you definitely feel clausterophobic, no windows, stained bed sheets, smelly pillow, breakfast very limited choice, cold and over cooled eggs.
I was given a room in the basement first with no windows, and when I refused to have it, I got a small room with no windows first floor but next to the elevator. When asked for larger room with windows, I was told by staff that they reserve those room for guests who stay longer than one night🤯. Not a pleasant stay and will not return to this hotel again.
Dont even try to book
Attempted to make a booking but received error messages saying there was an issue and that any payment taken would be refunded within 24 hours. This happened twice, I am now 3 weeks later with no refund and no answer from the company, with all emails with mentions of this ignored.
What customer service?
Because of the train strike I had to cancel my overnight booking, I didn't want a refund just to be able to reschdule to a night in January, was told because it was a 'saver' deal so they couldn't do anything about it, so the full amount of £165 was taken, no joy with management seeing the issue and no response from HQ, planned to use them throughout the year but won't be now using Point A Hotels again very shortsighted.
