Pipe Dream Furniture Reviews 

I bought the 'Spirit Bottle Holder and Dispenser' from pipedreamfurniture.co.uk on 11/12/2025, paying for 2-3 day delivery as I needed it for xmas and this was ample time. I did not ask for anything bespoke. Various excuses followed and the item was eventually delivered way after xmas on 30/12.

1) The base of the item wasn't even connected to the unit (there is no indication in the product description that it's a DIY job, and it's just screws and a wooden base (no thread to screw them into - just a slab of wood).

2) The bottle/valve connector was missing too.

3) Most importantly, the item LEAKED in multiple places, so was not in any way fit for purpose.

I received an apology and was told 'This is certainly not the standard of service we aim to provide.' Instead of a refund, I was offered a 'alternative of a similar price', but there is no similar item and so they offered to send out a free non leaking replacement. This did't leak, however, bizarrely the size of the pipe leading to the tap (as was the case with previous items sent) was just 6-7cm above the base, smaller than the height of even a short glass, so unusable once again. I was send a THIRD dispenser, with a longer pipe, but this one again leaked, so back to square one.

I was repeatedly offered a £25 refund and to keep the item (which makes no sense, as the item costs £95). We couldn't come to agreement and I highlighted that these items were of no use to me. This changed to 50%, but the same issues remained. Staggeringly, as way of gaining agreement I was then told that the item is actually 'for display purposes only' , 'not meant for use/ consumption', and pointed to small text on the page stating so.

It's important to add that at one point in time this text 'did not' feature on the page (though it may have when I purchased), and that the much larger lettering on the page calls this a 'Spirit Bottle Holder AND DISPENSER', with it being pictured holding a full bottle of spirits. This implies that it is in fact a dispenser of drinks (which shouldn't leak, and should be capable of filling a glass with drink) . This was explained away with the following:

"The images show the item holding a bottle as the 2nd one sent to you will, there are no images of the liquid coming out of the unit, nor a glass in situ." 

This is clearly a ludicrous comment to make, and it's really insulting to paying customers to try to squirm out of accountability this way. I have no idea how many of these dispensers the company has in stock and is trying to palm off on people, but anyone buying one is potentially opening themselves up to a miserable situation. The idea that this item is in fact a decorative feature or ornament of some kind is ridiculous as it clearly 'does' function as a dispenser, just very badly to the point there's no point actually purchasing it.

This is the worst experience with a company I've ever had and wasted a month from beginning to end. I eventually got a refund, but the company have since refused to remove aspects of the product page that will confuse and lead people to believe they can actually use this item (the image of a bottle of alcohol being used with it, talk of drink 'tickling your taste buds', the giant 'Dispenser' title). At best it's incredibly misleading. Avoid this company at all costs.

I ordered two live edge wooden shelves. Delivery was quick no issues there.

On opening the packaging we found a manufacturing like scratch mark on one. Beth in the customer service team responded on the Saturday morning after evening email sent. Photos supplied. Beth replied again on Sunday when website says they are closed to say a new one was being sent out. Arrived first thing Tuesday morning. Prefect condition like 1 of the first two sent. I also didn’t have to arrange sending the damaged one back so saved hassle there.

Excellent customer service. These things happen and was sorted sorted with no hassle or fuss. Great service and decent price.

Hopeless delivery service. They charge you for delivery, tell you it will be 2-3 days delivery, send you an email on the day the goods will supposedly be delivered, and then you will still be waiting for them a week later.

Great selection of furniture. I picked up an solid wood bed for my newly designed room. It’s super comfortable and arrived in a timely manner.

My garden bench faded badly after a couple of months. I contacted the company for advice, but they were not that helpful. They said I couldn't re-coat it or lacquer it but I could paint it if I wanted to. Would not buy from this company again.

Update - apparently I had incorrect advice and the company are sending out some wax and waterproofing treatment. Review updated.

*Edited - after the response from the company I would also like to clarify a few points. Communication with this company is much like their response to this review, dismissive, condescending and gaslighting. If you have so many 1 star reviews citing the same issue perhaps you need to take a look at yourselves, your business practices and your customer service. In response to another review you agreed that your delivery timescale stated was misleading but yet you haven’t changed it. Nowhere in ordering does it say that the delivery timescale is from whenever you (or whoever it is) decides to ship it. It may be buried in your terms and conditions but I couldn’t find that on your website.

My wood did end up arriving by 5 days (not that anyone could guarantee this) but from reading the reviews looks like I was a lucky one. The wood is pretty nice, there was a big scratch down one piece and one piece was warped which took some creative joinery but not going to bother trying to take it up with this company.

Before you run to respond in this way to a negative review, maybe take a step back, look at how many of these you have and ponder whether maybe it’s a you problem, not an us problem.

Do NOT be fooled by 2-3 days delivery time. This is apparently when they have deemed to make the order, however, you will receive no confirmation that they have made it. Can’t say when it was shipped, not track able and still can’t give a delivery date and this is end of working day 4 since I ordered. Shocking customer service

I Ordered a small table and I was sent the wrong item!
Company refused to accept that the wrong item sent despite my invoice saying something different.
Customer services were unhelpful and in the end I gave up and accepted a partial refund because they wouldn’t even pay for the postage to return the incorrect sent item.

They even got my partial refund wrong!

All in all very disappointing and my advice would be to avoid.

ordered a standard wavy edge shelf, was great quality. bought some of the brass shelf brackets also which also look erally cool. really happy.

I've purchased 2 pieces of wood, made to measure and overjoyed with the finish, it elevates the look of the furniture. However, I must also mention the customer service, the team go above and beyond, very quick and responsive, very courteous and not something I have encountered before. Top class ✨

Fantastic product and service. They made a bespoke unit for my son exactly as requested, in quick timing and at a reasonable price. Looks amazing.

On randomly, out of nowhere, deciding I needed a Kingsize bed frame made of scaffold pipes (?!), I happened across Pipe Dream Fittings online. On explaining what I particularly had in mind the service was great. Despite no assembly instructions, (but a childhood once filled with Lego and Meccano), it wasn’t hard to figure out what connected to where. One tiny component was an incorrect size and some washers were missing, but luckily not insurmountable - and all that was sorted promptly with replacements a couple of days later. The finished bed is absolutely amazing and exactly what I had envisaged. The thing is so solid and doesn’t move or creak. So, thanks Pipe Dream for making my particular pipe dream come true!

I'm super happy with my order of the scaffold boards. They exceeded my expectations. They arrived quicker than anticipated and correctly stored in our safe place. They were very securely packed and most important they look better than expected. The cherry colour stain I ordered matches perfectly our oiled pine furniture tops. Very accurate description online. I easily struggle with chemical smells from paint and such, but the very light stain odour didn't make me sick. I can thoroughly recommend the scaffolding boards as shelves. They look great with the upright l-shape wall brackets that we ordered separately.

Bought a floating shelf. It was missing washers and the instructions were disappointingly vague. They didn’t say what size drill bit to use or how to ensure to mount them straight. They were also missing the washers that the instructions said they needed so I had to make an extra trip to wickes half way through.

The wood for the shelf seems good, but they were really tricky to fit. The mounts don’t seem quite strong enough for the shelf, but we’ll see if it stays up.

I was personally provided with customised choices on size and colour as I had explained I would be using the mantle as a beam over an open double doorway and wasn't exactly sure what would suit. I placed an order with the exact dimensions I required.
Arrived surprising quick for such a large heavy item.
Really well packaged to prevent any in transit damage.
The piece was beautifully crafted and finished in a really rich medium oak colour and pre drilled holes exactly where I required them.
The personalised emails and contact were a great touch of a classy customer service.
Thank you very much for an easy process from ordering to delivery.

Don’t waste your time or money with this company. The delivery times are deceiving and far longer than advertised. The website is misleading, and what is promised does not match the actual service. Overall, it’s a very disappointing experience and I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Quick answers from Angel on questions I had about bespoke design specifics. Order to delivery within 1 week. Excellent quality product, no issues. Would use again. Dan

Product superb. The choice of finishes and customisation is just excellent. Customer service and after sales are also ‘what you want’!! My emails were answered within hours and resolved any queries I had immediately.

I would love to be able to report on a fantastic product from Pipe Dreams but alas it still hasn't appeared yet. I order this product on 15/12/25, with 2-3 day delivery. I only heard from the delivery company, DX, on 29/12/25 advising delivery on 30/12/25. This delivery never happened despite tracking showing the driver a street away a few times within the alloted time. I rebooked for 6/1/26. Never showed on this date but notified me of delivery on 7th. I was then told delivery was attempted on the 7th and a note left (no note was left). I rebooked for 8/1/26 and another no show. I have waited in, on these 4 days, for this delivery and still not received. Whilst the no shows are not the direct fault of Pipe Dreams there is clearly an issue of a very poor and unacceptable delivery process (as many other reviews on here confirm) from both Pipe Dreams and DX. This is unacceptable and extremely poor service.
