I tried to join online (website). After entering my card details correctly twice, I was told that I had entered them incorrectly and I would have to phone.

Probably a good thing, as when I did phone, I had to go through all my details again. When being read the terms and conditions, it was made clear to me that I was locked in for 12 months and that Pinergy had the right to increase prices within that 12 months, but I would still have penalties to leave. When I pressed on this, I was then informed that the rates I had been quoted would be increased in 20 days' time. If I hadn't have specifically asked, I would not have found that out.

Given that it typically takes 14 days to switch supplier, it seems poor business practice to quote a rate that is going to increase in 20 days.

Combining a variable rate tariff, lack of transparency about a planned price increase in 20 days' time, and a fixed term contract with charges to exit, does not describe a company that I would do business with.

Customer service representative I spoke to was polite and very clear and knowledgeable. Made the process smooth and straightforward and he was patient with listening to concerns and resolved them promptly.

We got the best man to answer all our queries

The operator was incredibly kind, acted with full knowledge of the chain of command and knew exactly what to do. He resolved my issue within 10 minutes. I was very impressed.

Most expensive. Not worth installing. Landlord friendly but costs 8k EUR a year. Better to go with Bord Gais.
Unfortunately unexplained cost hike, saying “external costs” doesn’t convince the customer. Switching to a different provider helped me reduce my cost 4x. Hope others may find the advice useful.

More expensive than everyone else, unresponsive, and now adding an increase worth of 200 EUR including VAT.
If you can, avoid at all cost.
We are bound to them becaus our building have a contract with them, this is how they can secure the pricing they want, not the "best price we can offer" like they are trying to make you believe.

I found Pinergy offer exceptional service, professionalism and value in installing PV solar panels at our home. It was not a straightforward installation as it involved a "Tails Upgrade" to the existing electrical cabling in the house prior to installing the PV panels, this work was was carried out by Pinergy and formed part of the contract. It was also a large installation for a residential house, 18 solar panels, 2 batteries, 1 inverter, 1 EV charger, 1 EDDI, and the panels were installed on the roof or a nearby barn. The whole process from initial site visit, deciding installation layout, receiving and agreeing on quote for the contract , issuing of bill of materials, payment schedule, assigning dates for the various phases of the installation and commissioning date went smoothly. We interacted with probably all the customer based teams within Pinergy, sales, customer services, scheduling, installation and found them all to be very customer focused, punctual, accurate, and very responsive to any queries we raised throughout the process.
A special word of praise for their installation and electrical crews, Kevin, Dannie, David who worked their backsides off to complete the various parts of the installation on time. Workmanship was exceptional, this was due to the very evident high level of cooperation between them, they each knew in great detail their own role and colleagues role in getting the job done. A very special shout out for Kevin who took me through the whole installation, explaining how the various parts worked and especial travelling a 2 hour journey to install Wi-Fi boosters to allow our Apps work properly.
