This company is a SCAM!

This company is a SCAM!! I cancelled the service, yet they still keep charging me. Charged me for 8 MONTHS, after I requested 3 times to stop charging me & FINALLY responded that due to their “fairness” policy they can only refund 2 months. So they scammed me for SIX.

Scam!

Scam, keeps billing me weekly. Never authorized. NO way to contact, so I contacted credit card company twice. They STILL keep billing me.

They billed me for a service I never used refused to give my money back. Sent several emails to company for refund the only response I got was they will look into it. I'm on fixed income and don't have money to waste on something like this.

This is an information gathering scam…

This is an information gathering scam company. Do not use. They will not cancel your trial and or subscription. Their tactic is to continue billing by making cancellation nearly impossible. They obtained my young daughter’s info are trying to charge her Apple account fraudulently. I have tried calling but there is no option to speak with a live human. I’ve tried their AI bot but it does not allow anything beyond its preprogrammed responses which do not include fraudulent charges and help in dealing with unauthorized charges. Absolute scam of a company.

Fraudulent JustAnswer PeopleLoockr

ℹ authorized $1 and my bank alerted me that my account was suspicious activity. This company (without authorization) charged my account $55 dollars 2 times at same time.
I naturally reported fraud to bank.
This was Monday night.
After reporting fraud I received another alert but was Charged $26 dollars twice.
I can tell everyone I am read to sue for fraud . This company goes in 2 names
JustAnswer is one and Peoplelooker is another name but they are one and the same company scammers.
I am disabled and when someone steal my money I have to wait 2-5 days before I get money back.
Something need to be done about these scammers ASAP
I will definitely pass this information to the community.

Cheats and liars

I authorized a $1 charge on my ATM/debit card for a quick look at info on my missing brother. I did not create an account or sign-up as a member. I tried to cancel my "membership" immediately after my search, but the site won't let me do that. I called to complain, there are no humans available to answer the phones. When I used the site ONE time for the $`1, I had to give them my email address and ATM card. They charged the $1, then they charged me me twice for a membership I did not authorize. I get the royal runaround on the phone, no live customer service, and the bots refuse to let me remove my personal info from their site.
They refuse to remove all of my personal info from their site, I can only edit it if I re-activate the account that I did not want or create. Now they are saying my account is deactivated, and I have to re-enroll to strip all of my info from their system.

They have my private information without my permission/consent.
I asked them to remove it. Will see if they will remove it. Very disappointed that my information is shared like this. I get constant calls and texts with spams because of these types of websites. This is illegal, not sure why and how they are allowed to do this

“PeopleLooker” DO USE THEM OR EXPLORE…

“PeopleLooker” DO USE THEM OR EXPLORE THEIR WEB SITE. On or around April 29 of 2025, PeopleLooker / PeopleLooker.com / PeopleLooker LLC enrolled me in their site and services program. I have tried to get Chase (my CC co.) and PeopleLooker to stop these services which to my knowledge, I never signed up for. In order to cancel a subscription they require your account number which supposedly is in their “On Boarding” email which I never got. Chase will not deny the charges because they say I need to cancel with PeopleLooker. Their site or a portal to the biggest rabbit hole you will ever get involved with. I am going to have to cancel my card because of their system. So far they have misapproprated approx $60 from me because I csn't get them caceled.

I spent the money expecting at least…A real SCAM !

I spent the money expecting at least basic info re my search. I soon got the report, opened it and was met with the statement sorry we couldn’t find anything !
You would think I would at least get a refund, but nope, nothing ! Don’t waste your time on this site. I know my person exists, even have her husbands name, their ages, where she taught school, and what town she lives in. They didn’t even have any of that info !

Tried it out looking up myself and relatives. It was a lot of mixed up and outdated information. It didn’t even show me as a related to my sister but it showed our step fathers half sister as related to her.

My girlfriend got suckered into a…

My girlfriend got suckered into a membership by ordering a cheap item off a shopping app. Long story short by the time she realized the membership had charged her $26.89.
I was eventually contacted by a representative and a refund was issued. We were both grateful for the kind attention and solution to this situation.

I did a background check on myself. It was all there. I forgot to cancel my account within the alotted time. I wrote customer service and got an immediate response and was credited the monthly charge. Seems super solid to me!

I m sorry but making it impossible for months to be able to cancel an account and then I deleted my account instead but I still got charged every month for 6 months. Now they do have a cancel button on the website and I canceled it but they did charge me 23 dollars for this month only 🙄
