After being a loyal customer for 50 years, I don't feel valued...
I called to get a better interest rate on an used auto loan. I think you should value customers like me that have been loyal for a very long time. I have a great credit history and was only offered a rate of 6.49% for 48 months. I then received an advertisement in the mail stating members can receive a rate of 4.99% and higher on used auto loans. I was definitely not happy based on my 50 years banking with PENFED and a flawless credit history and score. To add, I have multiple accounts with PENFED. I feel not valued as a customer and I called to see if they could change the terms if my loan. I was told, that was the best they could offer. Based on that, I will have to move some of my money away from PENFED to banks and credit unions that value my money and me as a customer.

Representative talks down to members and explains what she can't do, with no offer to find ways to solve members problems. Veterans go elsewhere for your finances and insurance.

The general services. The cashiers can resolves almost everything. Manager check are for free. The APP is wonderful. I really like everything comparing with the local Banks I just move to PEN FED. We need more Banks fascilities around the Island.

Inconsiderate customer service
PenFed's fraud detection software disallowed a Zelle transfer that I attempted, with no explanation other than to "Try again later." So I kept trying. No success. Finally, I called PenFed and after being put on hold and disconnected twice, after over 1.5 hours on the phone, and after speaking to six PenFed staff, I got the transfer accomplished. PenFed wasted my time, and its own. I've been a PenFed customer for decades and I'm disappointed.

Getting through to a "Customer Service Representative" at PenFed may be a bit difficult. But if you wind up connected to a lady by the name of Crystal, you are in luck. She is courteous, respectful, patient, and, best of all, effective. She represents herself and PenFed in an exemplary manner.
