Peak Rail is a brilliant steam railway

Peak Rail is an steam railway run by volunteers as a business during the busy periods only, i.e. normally on a Saturday and more often during summer holidays.
I travelled with the company a few days ago when visiting as a wheelchair bound passenger with my family. The staff / volunteers were brilliant and helped me out with my chair as I decided to travel in a normal carriage. The guards van has room for two wheelchair travellers, with ramps provided onto the train.
A trip between Rowsley South and Matlock was great and the steam engine traversed several times .
