I feel that my experience with Peachtree on more than one instance of purchasing a house has left me very disappointed and upset.
I feel that they were misleading and dismissive of me bringing up issues that in the end went unresolved.
To me it felt that there was something not right and I then discovered that the house they sold belonged to someone in their family.
The experiences with their home reports carried out by Allied Surveyors had left me feeling mislead. Their categories score very high but in fact when the home report was carried out by a separate surveyor, the high scores were discovered not to be 1’s which we felt was a failure in duty of care. It left me feeling suspicious and unable to trust both Peachtree and Allied Surveyors when serious faults were discovered in the property at a first glance when I received the keys.
My impression of the home reports and the presentation of the properties I purchased through social media was that it was not an accurate representation.
A house is the biggest purchase you will potentially ever make in your life. To be mislead about what you are purchasing is extremely upsetting and disappointing when you receive the keys and discover serious faults. I feel that it is a complete failure and misrepresention.
In my experience I would recommend to do thorough research and be very careful if you are dealing with an estate agent. Challenge the home report and be very diligent when viewing a property. First time buyers especially.
In the future I will not be viewing any properties by them and sharing my experience friends and family to inform them.

To clarify, both property transactions referenced were handled by a negotiator/manager within our team who has no personal connection or relationship with any of the parties involved. In an area such as ours, where we are often involved in transactions between people who may know one another, it is standard practice for negotiations to be managed by a colleague independent of any relationship to ensure a fair and impartial process for all parties.
With specific reference to the second transaction, which I believe your concerns relate to. We can confirm that we had no prior relationship with the sellers, and I personally have never met the owners. This sale was managed entirely during a period when I was on annual leave.
Regarding the Home Report, this is prepared independently by a qualified surveyor, and neither ourselves nor any estate agent has any influence over the scoring or findings within it. We understand that your concerns were raised directly with Allied Surveyors, who are/were best placed to investigate and respond to any technical matters relating to the report.
In relation to the first property purchased, this was viewed on more than one occasion prior to purchase, providing full opportunity to assess its condition. Both properties were marketed and sold in line with all standard procedures by a negotiator independent of any relationship.
We also include clear disclaimers within all of our marketing materials advising that particulars are for guidance only, and we encourage all purchasers to carry out their own due diligence.
We are sorry that on this occasion you feel your expectations were not met. We do hope that you are now settled and happy in your new home and have resolved any issues relating to your concerns with the home report, with the surveying firm.
