Amazing program and helpful tech-supporting team
I'm using this program through my undergraduate and postgraduate programs. It perfectly met my needs. They also have an amazing tech-supporting team. Four years after I purchased it, they helped me transfer my lifetime license to my new PC in less than an hour.
For anyone interested in purchasing the program, one thing to notice: the lifetime license goes with the major version (i.e. v.2.0 and v.3.0 are different major versions).

Never has an app support team gotten back to me so quickly. They explained what my problem was and how to resolve it. I have several PDF programs, but PDF Candy is the one I go to first. Great program.

Don’t buy the “lifetime” license
Don’t buy the “lifetime” license. Looks like I’m not the only one - but a $99 lifetime license doesn’t get you the v3.0 update. Pretty scammy if you ask me.
Update: they quoted me their EULA when I complained. It said something to the effect of no obligation to grant updates. But guess what, not obligated doesn’t mean they can’t - they simply don’t want to. They sent me the v2.94 installer link since I had auto updated and was stuck with two actions. Out of curiosity, I ran the v2.94 install and that language wasn’t even in the EULA that pops up. So they added the no updates language afterwards.
But yea, support was prompt - they were quick to tell me to take a hike.

Support is great, but know what you're buying
I only just purchased the lifetime license, so can't comment on the complaint others have left. I purchased the license because I got an error when trying to use the free resize tool. The message indicated that I would need to buy a pro license to resize the file. However, after purchasing a license, I discovered that the desktop tool does not resize and the web version still said my file was too large.
After contacting support, they gave me the limitations of the resize tool. However, after providing them with the file, they were able to resize the large, custom sized PDF to a new custom size with great results.
My recommendation is to verify that the capabilities of the product meet your needs before you buy. I don't believe their site does a very good job of this. But their support has been great!

Lifetime license only valid for 1,5 years!
I bought a "lifetime" license for their product and now, after updating to the newest version of the desktop app, they say that my license is not valid any more.
This is a scam.
Also, I'm not able to send anything via their contact form on their website.
I would not recommend to buy a license from them.

Same complaint as many others ..
Same complaint as many others ... I bought a Lifetime license with no limitations indicated in anything in print, but the license key is not valid for the latest release. My request for a new key to upgrade from basic to PRO was denied. It seems they arbitrarily decided to treat the latest release as if it were a new product so that you would have to pay again to get the PRO features. Good luck finding a EULA or anything like that on their website or with the downloaded software. With the number of similar complaints, maybe a class-action suit is the way to remedy the situation.

Better customer service going forward
Update: PDF Candy has revised their customer service and are now reviewing cases like mine and making good on them.
Initial review: I bought a lifetime license for this product and 2 days in I realized it was missing the feature I bought it for, they denied my refund. They have finally added the feature I needed but I need to buy it again to access the feature, so much for my "lifetime" license.

Bought a misleading con- wont refund and wont update.
A con. I thought I just bought the lifetime version and upgrades, but instead, I discovered I bought a version (2) that was updated just days later without telling me, to version (3) . When i discovered this I asked for the latest version or a refund. The desktop app then tried to upsell version 3. I was just over the 30-day trial period, but I would have never bought this if I knew'd bought a dated version that wasn't updatable. The desktop app does very little, and I was concerned about the web version privacy issues. Customer service has been cold and ruthless in technically looking for ways to not focus on the customer and wiggle out of any ability to resolve this. I would never have bought this if I knew what i know now.

Useless product
The desktop product seemed to be a great deal but has limited functionality and produces inaccurate results. I tried to get a refund because the product was defective but was fobbed off. They had me provide proof of the defects and promised to work on rectifying them. I have never heard back from them. If you like to be ripped off, this is a good product to buy.

The PDF Candy Product and Support are GREAT!
When I upgraded the C: drive from the small factory installed drive to a larger SSD it was necessary to have the "Key" reset. I contacted Support, explained the situation and they promptly had the "Key" reset and let me know when it was done so that I could be up and running. I found them easy to work with and appreciated the quick, friendly, and professionalism.
I recommend PDF Candy without reservation!

Limited functionalities for desktop version
I purchased the desktop version, after using the online version for months. Now i come to the conclusion the desktop version doesn't support important features as "Edit PDF", "Rearrange pages", "Add watermark", "Resize pages", "Add page numbers", "Header and footer".
So i will have to keep using the online version, and a refund is impossible.

CONVERSION FEATURE DOESN'T WORK
I bought a lifetime plan to PDF Candy on March 1, 2024 for the PDF-to-DOCX conversion feature. This feature worked fine for 3 months, then stopped converting PDFs to anything but gobbledygook.
When I contacted PDF Candy about the issues, they sent me a sample of a PDF they'd converted to DOCX, stating it contained "satisfactory results." It contained anything BUT "satisfactory results."
They then refused to refund my money, even though the software is now useless to me.
