At first I was dubious about choosing an online conveyancer instead of a bigger well known law firm but it definitely paid off and I would highly recommend. I was immediately assigned 2 case handlers who kept in contact with me all the time with updates and immediate responses to my questions. I had my own ‘portal’ to sign in to with dates of each part of completion throughout the process, this was an excellent way for me to keep track of how things were moving along.
Professional, friendly, knowledgeable service throughout, I can’t recommend them highly enough - with the added bonus of it costing me less that £1,000 when I was previously quoted £5,000 from a well known firm!

My experience with PCS Legal was really disappointing. Communication was poor from start to finish, and there was very little care or attention given to my case.

I was left in the dark most of the time with hardly any updates, and getting hold of someone was a struggle because calls were rarely answered. My case was passed between several different solicitors, and at one point I only found out after chasing that no one had actually been dealing with my file for months before someone else picked it up. It’s no surprise important things ended up being missed.

Even though I provided everything that was needed, including my Help to Buy ISA closing statement, the Help to Buy ISA bonus was never applied for. I genuinely believed this had been sorted as part of the conveyancing process, so I only realised after completion when I was checking my finances.

The delays and lack of progress nearly cost me my first home because I was warned the property could go back on the market while I was waiting for contracts. By then it was too late to change solicitors, so I just felt stuck and stressed.

Overall, this experience has made me question how PCS Legal manages cases, especially when staff keep changing. Avoid for your peace of mind, sanity and confidence when it comes to legalities in your home buying process.

I used PCS Legal for the purchase of my home, and overall the conveyancing process was smooth and well managed. The team were helpful, communication was good throughout, and they made what can often be a stressful process feel straightforward. Based on my own experience, I was happy with the service, which is why I felt confident referring my brother when he bought his property.

Unfortunately, my experience after completion left me disappointed. PCS Legal advertised a £100 Amazon voucher as part of their refer-a-friend scheme, and when I contacted them to let them know my brother was using their services, I was told in writing that a note had been added to his file and that the voucher would be issued once he completed.

After my brother completed, PCS Legal changed their position and refused to honour the referral, stating that his instruction had originally come through a mortgage broker. While I understand companies have terms and conditions, the issue is that we raised this at the time and were specifically reassured that everything had been noted and the voucher would still be honoured. It was only over a year later, after completion, that this was reversed.

I responded to express my disappointment, pointing out that we had relied on the written confirmation we received, but I never received a reply to my final email. That lack of response was particularly disappointing and left the matter unresolved.

It's a shame because the legal service itself was good, but the way this referral was handled has left a sour taste. If a company confirms something in writing, customers should be able to rely on that, and I hope PCS Legal reviews how it manages its referral scheme and follows through on commitments made to clients.

I was introduced to PCS LEGAL after looking online for solicitors to help my mortgage process.
One word which I rarely use would be outstanding! From the very start to finish, the customer service was excellent, communication excellent. Nothing was ever too much trouble at all. No hidden fees, the price is what you pay, which is extremely affordable for a house purchase.

Poor communication, need sto push hard and, go round circle types of communications, serious delayed instead of -6 weeks, end up near 6 months after the auctioner, the purchaser and myself seriously chasing as the purchaser, myself and the auctioner anciety, end up the purchaser solicitor charge the late fees on me, PCS also overcharged me as the auctioner had confirmed sold as one plot as the PCS innitially agree fees for the transaction but later changed three times instead of agreed fees beside their delayed and non committed action during the whole process, no service at all and costs lost money,

We were recommended Stuart and PCS by a friend and, having now completed on our first house have no regrets in choosing them. Special shout out to Maria who is an absolute legend. Thanks all!

I have used PCS Legal before and was confident in choosing them again for the purchase of a flat where the mortgagee was in possession. I am always frustrated at the amount of time it takes to buy property in England, and this transaction was no different - it took nearly 9 months in the end. I felt the transaction lost momentum a bit when the going got tough and there were some delays to completing certificates etc which could have been avoided with a little thought and attention.
Overall, my previous experience was better, but this experience wouldn't put me off using PCS Legal again.

The Mulberry Team dealt with the sale of our flat and the purchase of our cottage. They were helpful from start to finish and my enquiries were always dealt with promptly. The staff were all very pleasant and they made the whole process very stress free. If I were to be really picky the only thing I would say they could improve on would be to keep the portal up to date. Other than that they were a lovely team to work with.

We had a great experience with our remortgage from start to finish. The whole process was handled professionally, with excellent communication throughout, and everything was explained clearly. The whole transaction felt straightforward and stress-free.

Myself and my brother used PCS Legal for over a year. Liam Ridyard oversaw the sale of my brothers lease hold flat with a complicated divorce settlement attached to it. And then the sale of my own lease hold flat. I honestly couldn’t rate Liam high enough. He was competitively priced, and extremely quick to respond. He was calm and put me at easy dealing with a difficult process. Even the estate agent commented on how great he was. I will most definitely be using him again!

Came to PCS Legal (London Practice) on an estate agent referral. My account was handled by Craig Stevenson, Luke Barton and Yasmin Fugurally.

The experience was genuinely poor.
Rather than translating my reply into properly framed legal correspondence designed to protect my position, this team was copying and pasting my own words directly back to the opposing solicitor!!

❌ No legal rephrasing. No protective language. No advocacy.
Simply a relay service 😤
This isn't speculation as Yasmin admitted it on the phone not once, but twice! 📞😶

Then came confirmation I didn't need but got anyway...
The opposing solicitor and estate agent forwarded what PCS Legal had sent them. Exact wording. Word for word. An identical copy of what I had written myself 🤦🤦🤦

And the part that really says it all I had already explicitly told them not to copy and paste. They did it regardless... 🙄

When I tried to raise a formal complaint and asked to escalate to Senior Partners Stuart Forsdike and Kate Forsdike, I was told my complaint had to be directed to Craig Stevenson... 🤔😤
The same Craig Stevenson my complaint is about.

I made it clear that this was wholly inappropriate as you cannot direct a client to raise their complaint with one of the people named in it. The firm's response was that it isn't their policy to allow complaints to progress beyond your case handler. 🤯
That tells you everything you need to know about how seriously they take client concerns.

A conveyancer's job is to act in your interest. To use their expertise to frame your position, not to bounce your own words across the table untouched. What PCS Legal delivered was closer to a basic email forwarding service and a poor one given they ignored a direct instruction 😡

I will be taking this to the Legal Ombudsman and the Council for Licensed Conveyancers 📋⚖️

Had I known this was how they operated both in handling transactions and in handling complaints, I would have gone elsewhere without hesitation. I strongly suggest you do the same 👇

My brothers and I recently used PCS when selling our parents' house, and our experience was excellent from start to finish. Liam Ridyard, our conveyancer, kept us informed throughout the process and was incredibly responsive whenever we had any queries (of which we had many!). We honestly can't recommend Liam and the team highly enough. Thank you!

I have recently completed on a house with PCS and it was an incredibly smooth process from start to finish being wrapped up in 12 weeks from offer being accepted. Communication was excellent throughout, even if an update could not be provided due to third party feedback and everything was dealt with in a timely manner. Would highly recommend PCS & Tom Marler my conveyancer throughout the process.

We used PCS legal for the sale and purchase when we moved house. They were competitively priced and the service was excellent from the point of instruction.
