Beware
I made a payment thinking it was a monthly payment because that is what was implied. Except it was for nearly £300 dollars!!!
Paypals answer was to raise a dispute!!!! I then asked to speak to a manager when they knew fine well they were closing! I was on hold for ages! Eventually I hung up and redialled to be told they were closed by seven minutes!! No 24/7 banking with Paypal. I have cancelled all my dd’s with
them. Deleted my debit and credit card of theirs and will never use them again. speaking as a long time customer. Absolutely awful service. If they try taking the money out of my account I will be raising it with the Financial Ombudsman in the UK. Honestly be very aware. Paypal are crooks!
Truly terrible
My PayPal credit card was used to make fraudulent payments. I immediately reported this and provided evidence that this was the case. This happened on February 14th. 25 days later, still waiting for my refund after requesting a charge back. Meanwhile, PayPal are more than happy to take my balance into a negative, preventing me from using my PayPal credit account, and are now harassing me with emails and phone calls about collecting a debt. I have contacted PayPal everyday since and got nowhere, all they seem to want to do is continue to push the resolution date for the raises cases back further and further. I will be leaving Pay after I have received my money back.
Don't use paypal they don't protect you
All I can say about this company they do not protect your money ive had a dispute witha company called hello tickets who we paid £336.00 for my daughter 14 years old birthday to go to a concert with her friends weve now been waiting 6 months for tickets confirmation we reported this too paypal as a scam PayPal found in hello tickets favour even tho hello tickets didn't even respond to the claim . Weve now taken legal proceedings in the small claims courts against PayPal for the recovery of the money for the tickets also we want compensation for the way weve been treated and I had too tell my 14 year old daughter we didn't get the tickets from hello tickets so we are taking PayPal to the courts to recover the money . We've also reported this to our own bank as its a scam and PayPal will not deal with the problem so we have too but they are certainly not getting away with not refunding us £336.00 when weve not even had the items .
Please close all your PayPal accounts down and don't use this company as I will be closing my PayPal account once this is resolved ive never heard anything like this in my life but I will take PayPal to court now .
I will update this review as I know more thank you.My reviews are trustworthy and honest and this company is trying everything to get my reviews removed if they feel like that don't try and scam people when we pay over the odds for concert tickets then they don't send the information or anything you've paid for at all.
Weve emailed this company since the 22nd January 2026 and we purchased the tickets on the 9th October 2026 for my 14 year old birthday party she was going to the concert weve now had to tell her weve been conned out of our money my daughter cried as she cant no longer go with her friends now .
I've been in contact with paypal and now with my bank to claim the full funds back all I can say don't deal with this company as there's a good chance you will lose your money and get no information from the seller never mind the tickets. While ive been dealing with all this from this company my stepdad got told he had cancer on December 17th 2025 and died on the 14th March 2026 at 2am in the morning this company and paypal should be ashamed for what they have put me and my family through weve emailed hello tickets numerous times since 22nd January 2026 over this booking .
Unuseable. Try somewhere else.
Only used rarely - problem every time being locked out of my account by their system. Literally unuseable.
Closed my account to ensure security of my bank details.
Now that our account has been closed
Now that our account has been closed, we feel compelled to leave a negative review, and you deserve it. Here's why:
We had a business account with Stripe and were able to receive payments from our customers smoothly and easily. Stripe's integration with PayPal allows us to offer our customers an additional payment option, which is particularly valuable for those who prefer to use PayPal or have funds already in their accounts.
Several customers took advantage of this feature, even though I sent the invoices through Stripe. Their payments were first processed by PayPal and then by Stripe.
Up until about a month ago, everything was working well. However, I then received an email from PayPal requesting verification for these customer payments.
We complied with all their requirements, as we provide services rather than selling products. We sent them the same invoices processed through Stripe, which had already been paid by the customers via PayPal.
We provided screenshots and all the necessary documentation that supported our business account application.
To our surprise, we received an angry response and a notification of our account's permanent closure. This isn't the first time we've experienced such a frustrating situation; they seem to thrive on complicating matters and generating overwhelmingly negative feedback.
We've never encountered a company quite like this before. Their complexity leads to a continuous cycle of inefficiency that prevents any meaningful development or progress, which is why they're facing so much negativity.
Congratulations on earning that reputation, and we hope you continue to receive more of this feedback.
This review reflects our perspective on the situation, not out of necessity for your services. On the contrary, this account no longer benefits us; you are the ones profiting from the fees.
We already have Stripe Business accounts and work with other companies, so we truly do not need your services at all.
I genuinely pity your organization.
2 times now I've used this company for…
2 times now I've used this company for thing I have bought and they just say contact the seller if you haven't received your product so I have had no response I won't be using PayPal again
Money was taken from my bank account…
Money was taken from my bank account via paypal. I immediately queried this and filed a claim. Paypal immediately settled the claim 'in the seller's favour'. There is no way to appeal the decision so I'm now £200 out of pocket. Maybe writing something here will get someone to investigate. The phone and livechat things just go round in circles.
PainPal
Despite decades of membership, now I’m getting really annoying clarification requests EVERY time I log on, so unnecessarily tedious with facial recognition.
A company that should not be allowed to operate
I would like to leave zero stars but cannot. A company that has become very unpopular. I will never ever use them again. Zero help with my promised refund which I never received. Then kindly sent a debt collection agency instead. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Making the payment process as hard as possible.
Almost twenty long years, I have been using Paypal. In all that time I have had many problems but today was the final straw.
Correct me if I am wrong, but if you are given a credit limit, by any company, does that not mean, that as long as you have never missed any payments, in some cases paid double or even more than the minimum amount due, that you can use, up to the full amount of credit you have at your disposal? Well not with Paypal you carn't.
This company is an absolute joke, I will, be paying off what I owe and I will be closing this account down. I know, especially these days that security has to be tight but Paypal just takes the mickey.
Avoid Paypal at all cost's, making a purchase is nearly always a chore, you always speak to somebody who's first language is not English, unless you have a security problem and you nearly always, have a security problem, especially for larger purchases.

Only tried to change the mobile phone number on the account.
An hour later and the account has stopped opening at all, with a message stating that it cannot verify my account.
I may have to call back as PayPal is useful, but I will need to make sure I have a spare hour or 2.
I so wish I could leave no stars.
I so wish I could leave no stars. PayPal has gone to the dogs in recent years. I have literally been fighting them for more than a five weeks over a fraudulent payment that PayPal processed. And because they have access to my bank account they keep taking the money that they refunded me, locking my account and saying I have to pay them back. I am sick of explaining this ridiculous situation to new people each time I speak to them with assurances each time it's all sorted, then sure enough, it continues on.
Over twenty emails and half a dozen phone calls and still I am fighting. And with Paypal's refusal to defend the little people, always coming down on the side of big business, when this is all over, I will be closing my account. I recommend everyone do the same...they are like dinosaurs, time to become extinct!
UK PayPal
PayPal in Britain changed rules etc I yhink because of Brexit and it is now PATHETIC!!!!! About 18months ago PP did not, for whatever reason, take my DD. This went against my credit score! I contacted PP but it was a waste of time so I just left it but its happened again!!! I contacted them and they said that I changed the amount of my DD, which I did, and then CANCELLED it???? Why in Gods good name would I do that???? I am still fighting with them!!!
PAYPAL CREDIT IS DIRE
PAYPAL CREDIT IS DIRE. PAYMENTS TAKE 10 DAYS TO PROCESS HARD TO KEEP TRACK OF. USELESS CUSTOMER SERVICE. WEBCHAT JUST REPEATS GENERIC RAMBLE. WILL NEVER USE AGAIN
Solution = simple. Stop using Paypal.
Doesn't the 1 star rating speak for itself? I'll add my situation. TLDR; - the fact this organisation is permitted to continue trading in the UK when the evidence of how shady they are is all over the internet, shows how ineffective our regulators and government are. We pay them too much.
I raised a complaint with Paypal UK about a fraudulent charge to my account by vidiofy.co trading as Orange LLC. They took an additional 49.90 the day after I had used their site for admittedly a low cost of 0.10 pence. Under UK law this should not be an issue as Paypal should be obliged to refund your money within 1 business day and investigate the merchant, but the case was left unattended for more than a week and finally the refund was denied on the supposed basis that the "charge was processed correctly". No evidence was provided in the reply to support their reasoning. Their response not only denied my right of withdrawl under UK law, but under their own policies I can do this within 72 hours, which I did, but they refused my claim, which is illegal. I provided more than ample evidence this site vidiofy.co engages in dishonest business practices including 100% 1 star reviews on Trustpilot all reporting the same issue I have, that a subscription for 49.90 a month was initiated without my consent after I authorised a transaction of 10 pence to trial their system. I also provided evidence that the site charges the same amount in any denomination, which is itself suspicious, as well as evidence that the site was actually revised to remove Paypal payments entirely after I complained, even though Paypal was still listed on the website footer. Since I am not the first person to report this to Paypal and request a refund, this makes Paypal without a doubt negligent and a participant in the fraud. I am going to highlight this to the FCA and the Financial Ombudsman. There is no point having a regulator and laws if these are not followed and enforced. Posting the review here about vidiofy.co is good, but nothing will change in the UK if people do not also report Paypal to the FCA and Ombudsman as well, for enabling this activity and make it THEIR problem.
This lot are worse than the China…
This lot are worse than the China scammers they send your money to. You phone up to stop a transaction the will do nothing to stop it or help you.
Abysmal I have used Pay Pal for years.
Abysmal I have used Pay Pal for years.
I have had to report a problem with a Fraudulent Chinese company portraying themselves as in UK.
Initial reviews etc were good but then I noticed on the email received odd add ons. I checked my PayPal and the amount was as shown on the email which was £5 more than agreed amount. I explained to PP I had requested the order cancelled to the company and asked them to refund me the money.
They said to email the company on an email they provided. I did.
The next email was from said company, not asking about the cancellation but stating they had dispatched the item (Its still in transit in China). I then realised none of the emails I had sent had sent. Unavailable email address. So I forwarded all the unsent email trail to PayPal.
I knew from the reviews lots of other people had had the same problem with the company and PayPal were aware!
Imagine my fury when PayPal then refund me £5 and close the dispute.
I can not reopen it. Its impossible to contact PayPal who I honestly feel are taking back handers from these companies.
They never used to be like this and I am going to look into making formal complaint about them.
Avoid at all cost.
