Absolutely avoid this company at all costs.

At the start of the year, I lost both of my parents, they left me their house which I decided to sell, I should have listened to people when they said avoid Pattinsons but with them being local, I decided to go with them -BIG MISTAKE!!

Initially the valuer James came out and valued the property, he over valued the property by over £35000 - he convinced us to go via auction for a quicker sale, and this really wasn’t the case. We asked the question if after the first round we are not happy can we go to a regular sale -Yes, he said, no problem. We found this out to be a total lie!

We were then stuck in the battle of auction after auction due to the contract we were in, every time we get a phone call telling us to reduce the price of the auction, never was a thought of we will get you as much as we can but how low are you prepared to go was the question. They played on my vulnerability of losing my parents and convinced me to lower my reserve, the following day I wasn’t happy and wanted to put it back up and they wanted to charge me £1000 for the privilege. WTF!!

It all came to a head when the property finally sold, I had to lower the price by over £35000 to what they had valued. Then they asked if I would be happy to go with a mortgage buyer and quoted 56 days to complete. More lies followed as they didn’t inform either solicitor until 1 month after sale which means of course it didn’t complete on time.

I have since requested 50% of my fees returned as compensation and today Iain a manager from Newcastle called me today. What a rude person, he spoke over me, claimed the contact was sent to the solicitor on time when I have proof it wasn’t. He constantly tried to talk over the top of me, and I had to stop him then he tried to raise his voice at me as well where I ended the phone call.

I can honestly say this estate agents cares about one thing and one thing only -money. They don’t have the customers best interests at heart, and the customer service is absolutely zero. please avoid.

Jason was very professional, proactive, and kept the sale moving throughout the process.
Their clear communication, patience, and local knowledge made the whole process smooth from listing to completion.

I had a very disappointing experience with Auction. After my original sale fell through, my agent recommended using their service. They initially asked me to list my property at 20% below market value, which I reluctantly agreed to. After the first month, they asked me to reduce the price by another £30k, assuring me it would sell the same day. Desperate to sell, I agreed — but the property still didn’t sell.

The following month, they continued to push for further reductions. When I finally said I didn’t want to lower the price any more and wanted to stick to the originally agreed price, they told me I would have to pay £1,200 just to change it. I also noticed that very few of their listed properties actually seemed to sell.

Overall, the process caused me a great deal of stress. In my personal experience, it felt as though they pressured me into repeatedly lowering the price, and I did not feel it was in my best interest. Based on what I went through, I would not recommend selling with them.

I,d give them 0 starts if i could,I sold parents house i was left at auction and explained i could not get big items from upstairs and needed buyer to make stairs and let be get items inc car keys and escort cabriolet, after completion date told up to owner if lets you get item which he did baby and parents items , car gone edwardian clock old sony tv's gone , did not explain were not mine anymore tying to get back or comp avoid like the plauge daylight robbers

I let my property through Pattinson and they have always received excellent service from them. Any issues are quickly attended to.

As first-time buyers, we had a good experience overall. The team was helpful and professional, supporting us throughout the process and helping us get set up with a lawyer. They kept us informed and made sure things moved forward smoothly. Buying a property for the first time can be quite daunting, but they made it easier to navigate and were always available when we needed updates or guidance.

We have had a brilliant experience. Beth couldn’t have been more helpful, any concern or question I had, has been answered straight away. Thank you for treating us so well.

Kathryn Brown and the Team in Wallsend have absolutely been fantastic in finding out new tenant’s.

We only completed legally on
Monday 15 September and we handed the property over to the Ashington branch on Tuesday 14 October after the new carpets and vinyl were fitted.

It’s fair to say Kathryn Brown worked hard to find suitable tenant’s quickly.
The reference team and compliance team were also great behind the scenes.

He took the time to sit with us and talk everything through to help us understand the next steps and the process in general, he took beautiful pictures of our home and we sold in 6 LITTLE DAYS! The team at pattinsons are lovely, specifically Sam, and Sophie have been so helpful and understanding. I can’t wait to complete our sale and get moved into our new place as the service from the start to now has been brilliant.

Dealt with Houghton branch and Adrian Lindsay who is the most hard working and enthusiastic person you can have when you’re searching for a new home. He kept us fully informed and arranged viewings from a wonderful supply of houses. A lovely cheerful and professional agent - first class.

We used the Heaton office to sell our house and we can't praise them highly enough. They were always on hand to help and offer advice. Hayley kept us updated throughout and the whole team made the process that much less stressful. Well done Hayley, James, Sarah and Stuart.

We sold our house through the Cramlington branch. From start to finish it was a smooth process. The pictures taken turned out better than we imagined. Madelin was really helpful getting the sale completed when there was hold ups with the solicitor.

I wanted to participate in an online auction after noticing a property I really liked. When I registered, there were just under four days left until the auction ended. I completed all the forms and waited for approval to start bidding. I’ve been waiting ever since. Now the auction is only a few hours from closing, and I still haven’t received confirmation. Ironically, I did receive a text message from Pattinson reminding me that less than 24 hours remain and urging me to hurry up 😂😂😂. Apparently, I won’t get the chance to take part at all. Very poor service that leaves a rather mixed impression…
