Patient Access Online Review
All I wanted to do was book an appointment with a doctor at my local doctor's. But once I went there, they said "Go home and use Patient Access".
So I did, and this was where my troubles began. When I went to my doctor's website, to book, first they said "Sorry but you'll have to sign in with your Patient Access account". Gave me 5 or more questions to prove it was actually me, and sent messages and emails to my phone just to prove it. Then when I finally got in, they said, "Sorry, but you can't book appointments until you link your NHS account." So then I had to link up that because for whatever reason it was "unlinked". They were a real nuisance and said I had to input my full name, address, video evidence of my face, and photocopy of my passport just to activate that. They said I may have to wait 2 days before they can receive that, but fortunately, the details matched in under 2 minutes and let me proceed. Then finally, my Patient Access and NHS accounts were "linked", I was able to book an appointment, only to find out, that I still can't book one at my local doctor, and I'll have to take a bus from Dulwich to Vauxhall to visit another doctor, and pay nearly £50 to get an appointment and the necessary treatment. Why should I have to go there just to get the same treatment I should be able to get at my own doctor?
So in conclusion, I still couldn't do what I set out to do, use Patient Access to get an appointment to see my local doctor. I can only imagine what older people who aren't tech-savvy would have to do once their doctors no longer accept phone or walk-in visits.
It's been very helpful to me. Not just the information but all the peoples testimonies. Thankyou All my children don't speak to me they accused me of doing drugs and so did the doctors. I wanted to die. My boyfriend is in the hospital right now with a mass in his lungs. I told the doctors everything about what we were experiencing. They did Nothing. He has stopped eating and drinking. He weighed 280 pounds almost a year ago. Today he weighs 89 pounds. What is wrong when
Sensationlises illnesses using tiny elements of truth, but ultimately only shows images of the absolute worst (unrealistic) cases which only causes more harm and spreads misinformation
Awful app. Nigh on impossible to get logged onto.
Just far too much logging in data required.
Not worth the time out of your life wasted to try and get access.
Booked a paid- for consultation which pharmacy and doctors had no record of. Impossible to contact the company who have taken money for a service that isn't provided.
Doesn’t want the public to see a simple Leg Cramps cure that does not need medication. I registered to inform people who are experiencing and found out to my horror the answer was rejected and even my about page was deleted, so I de-activated the account.
Great website with some really useful content.
